My point is that it's not so far-fetched to believe we're genuinely interested in one of Europe's brightest young talents, regardless of who has or hasn't reported on it.
Way in advance? No.
But they got wind up of it, clearly, and it was reported in every single paper within days. Not just in the UK press, but in the Spanish press too. I'm not arguing about whether we should be in for him or not (I've literally never see him play and do not know if he's any good or not) I'm arguing that if we are in for him they'd be more than 1 solitary Swiss paper and 1 regional German paper saying it.
If both parties (United and the Player) are interested then the player will soon put a stop to this "Auction" nonsense. He will insist on coming.

They just got promoted into the Bundesliga - sounds like a Bournemouth from last year situation. But, again, we should be signing players ahead of Bournemouth if we want them - we are a huge global powerhouse of a club. It seems like either us or Leipzig are being used to push the price up a bit.

When a player starts talking about how great a certain manager is I always feel a deal is close if not already done. With Juve signing Pjanic it leaves us as the only club in for his signature which to me indicates he chose us over Juve.
Hope Tony V stays at old Trafford such an undervalued player for us.
Depends on whether he wants to be first choice at this stage of his career as I'm sure Jose will not want to play him at RB or RW, squad player yes and he ended the season well but the rumour maybe bollocks anyway, I wouldn't be too worried if we sold the likes of Tony and Young.
