If Mourinho really wants him then there shouldn't even be a question about how much he will cost. We have lost too much money by dilly dallying in the transfer market and keeping it till very late. Also, we have lost a lot of revenue by not challenging for the title and not making it to the CL.

We have gotten ourselves a world class manager and we need to support him with the funds for him to do his magic. Enough of this nonsense for the last three years. Let's win some silverware this season and worry about prices later.

Going by the post which quotes his agent claiming RW isn't his position (LW and number 10 is), I wonder whether we are actually solving much by getting him. If we sign him as a number 10 then great, but he won't be ahead of Martial on the left and still have an issue at on the right flank.

He is RW and played most of his games last season there. But he likes to drift inside and can play on the left also.

Draxler looked good today just like he looked great against Madrid in one leg of Cl. Much rather Mkhitaryan at the moment but I like Draxler too.

After watching a 5 min on Youtube i am bit of an expert on him, for me he is like Ozil but with a bit more pace.

But then why did Raiola say that he failed under Klopp because he isn't a right winger?

This would be a fantastic signing. I think he would do wonders for Martial. Add Zlatan, the potential is mouthwatering.

So much discussion regards his pace in this thread.

Beckham excelled on the right side of midfield without being blessed with exceptional pace or dribbling abilities. Positional sense and footballing qualities trump pace.

He isn't even slow like Becks.

He can't be any slower than Mata, so on that basis it will be a massive upgrade in terms of pace.

Why are they sending officials to us? I thought it was always the other way round.

Like Mata then?
Well no because even if he is not a great dribler (trickery itd) he goes quit often past players, likes one-two with which he can beat players with his speed and when we are at speed he is quite a lot faster then Mata. His long rage shots are also quite good, he often shots wide but when it comes of he can score some cracking goals.
But his vision and awareness where to position himself in attack to be a threat is similar to Mata. So he has skills which Mata lacks to be a good winger.

But tbf this is my assessment of him after watching 3-4 Dortmund matches (replays) since the links came out. A watched 3 times Dortmund last season (once against Liverpool and twice against Bayern) but didn't focused much about him and knew little about him before rumours started. Also my assessment could be a little to positive since I only watched replay of the games in which he scored.
But then why did Raiola say that he failed under Klopp because he isn't a right winger?
I don't know, was surprised at that quote.
