Barca have confirmed the deal for Bravo is agreed, so looks like Harts departure is 100% sealed now then.

Everton look the most obvious destination. Not a bad signing for them if they can get him for a good price.

To me the only surprise really is that he lasted this long at City.

Still funny seeing them turfing out one of 'their own', personally I'm delighted for the overrated smug prick.

He's shite and I've said it for a while. Bravo is a massive upgrade.

Well done to Pep not buying into the England's number one boll*cks.

Ya, Hart isn't the most rounded of keepers. Decent 1 on 1 but from range he just isn't the strongest. His ball skills are also not great, a big no no for Pep.

But is Bravo really that big of an upgrade?

Strikes me as a bit silly for them to be ditching the few English players that they have left.

Strange Barcelona are selling Bravo and keeping Ter Stegen - I got the impression it was Bravo who had cemented their number one spot, and Ter Stegen was the one looking to leave?

The latter has the greater potential and has requested a bigger role this season I believe. Bravo is 33 too, so if it became a question of one or the other, Ter Stegen wins despite currently being the weaker goalkeeper.

Barca are buying Jasper Cillessen from Ajax.

Bravo was the league keeper, ter Stegen was the cup keeper. But they are probably pretty equal and ter Stegen is far younger

Age thing, Bravo is 33 and doesn't have much left while Ter Stegen is quite young for a goalkeeper and very talented.

The buying club should hold City hostage, since the walking calamity Joe Hart will never want to leave England, and City won't want him hanging around with a bad case of the sour grapes.

Fair play to City for letting go of the smug cnut. One of those players that you got the impression they were untouchable just because of their status with England.

Wish we could freeze out Rooney in the same way to be fair.

Over-rated shite. Wish that City held on to him longer though so more hassle would be caused

From their point of view though makes perfect sense to get rid of him even if they should have done it a few weeks ago.

Toure next then.

Is bravo really that much better at goalkeeping than Hart or is it solely that he's just better with his feet. From what i've seen it doesn't seem like an upgrade at all. Hart has been a proven top quality keeper over the years and I think City could miss him tbh

A shame, I was relying on him as my comfort blanket. "Pep won't win shit as long as he's in goal."

Seems like he's addressing City's problems head on.

Homegrown rule dictates otherwise
Homegrown rules dictate having players who played in England for at least three years while they were younger than 21, so not necessarily English.

City are doing very well here. You don't need 25 players anyway, so you can keep some players who won't ever play just to make the numbers. Better that way than compromising the quality of A team.

Apparently they both weren't too happy with the provision and both wanted to be number 1. Barca had to make a decision and they chose Stegen purely based on his age.

I think it's a bit classless how they treated a player who was there for many years.

I really envy City here. Can we get Pep on secondment for a week, so he sort Rooney out and then we'll send him back?

LOL.
We should've borrowed him for a weeks to do the dirty work one of our players, before returning to MCFC.

Crazy to think Hart was in net for them as number 1 as far back as 2007/08. He is a year off a testimonial and is just being fecked off brutally after still being the clear first choice at the end of last season.

Is bravo head shoulders above hart though?

Il get my coat
LOL

I don't know, is he? Perhaps he is or perhaps Joe Hart is a cut above, but we're just splitting hairs now!

It was a good move for City to wash their head of him at last.

Sorry, cringeworthy ... almost of Friday night football proportions!

His downfall has been amazing, I remember a time the national press were touting him as one of the 'top three goalkeepers in the world' along with DDG and Neuer.

He's a good 'keeper, but not world class and if I were Everton I'd be just as happy with Robles who has been good so far, I was surprised they went for Stekelenburg.

Pep's first scalp? I feel he's been a bit dandruff on him
