Considering the prices that are quoted for decent players we haven't overpaid for Pogba.

Maybe that's why they've moved on to Sissoko.

Brahimi would have been an excellent buy.
Actually no, did great until AFCON 2015, intermittent after that. Porto getting 40M on him would be their best deal since Mangala...As hyped as fecked.

Fecking hell the definition of a waste of money. He'll leave of a free transfer having barely ever played for Chelsea

Juventus Football Club can today confirm that an agreement has been reached with Chelsea for the loan of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello until 30 June 2019, for an annual consideration of €5 million.

Juventus has the right to acquire the player on a permanent basis, or will be obliged to upon the achievement of agreed team results during the loan period, for a fee of €25 million, payable in three financial years, minus the loan fees already paid.

Should Juventus achieve certain sporting results during the player’s contract of employment, the club will owe Chelsea an additional €4 million in contingent payments.

Sorry for posting this statement, I don't know about you but my head started to ache reading this, typical from Juventus.

How does a three fecking year loan make sense financially for Chelsea? They're basically giving him away for free when surely Juve would have been able to pay them a few millions.

Edit: So they do get a few millions afterall, but still a weird transfer.

So its basically a loan fee of 5m euros each year for 3 years... and they can sign the player for 25m (- the loan fee) if they want.

Why would Juventus take advantage of the 25 million euros option when his Chelsea deal expires at the end of his loan and they can agree a pre-contract with him in January 2019?

Maybe I'm missing something, but it doesn't make much sense.

Apparently triggered by appearances.. If he plays a certain number of games, they have to sign him.

He is probably on £120 - 150k a year so it would cost them millions each year to have him at the club or they can get money back on him. If Juve are the only team seriously in for him the hold all the aces.
