So I take it Ravel Morrison isn't getting a move anywhere? I doubt he has is it in him to go back to Italy and give it a go for this season. Wouldn't shock me if he spends his time in Manchester playing 5 a side football.

We haven't got the players to make a full U23 team without playing players out of position and now we sell the captain. Make of it what you will.
That's because we're placing more focus on getting our talented young players out on loan to play competitive football. See Borthwick-Jackson and Pereira.

Weir is 21 and clearly not good enough. It's better we sell him than piss about with him in the reserves. He won't be benefitting from that level of football anymore.

The great thing about having less players aged 21 in the squad is that it makes more room for promising U18s.

@Sly Why did Sporting sell? Really am gutted about the sale, especially seeing him cry after the match against Porto.
It was the time for him to leave. He asked to leave, só after fierce negotiations we sold him. Tbf he deserves this move and to earn the triple. He was excellent for us performance wise and now leaves us with a good money compensation. From 300k in an obscure Algerian league to the english champion in a big deal. I wish him the best. One of my favourite players.

Hopefully Dost hits the ground running from the start. I've always had a soft spot for Sporting, good to see you start the league campaign strongly.

Ty mate, i hope so. Slimani was a very important player for us but with Dost, Castaignos, André from Corinthians, Joel campbell and possibly Markovic, i think we will be fine

Looks like the transfer masters have failed on this one.

Of course after poking fun at the ridiculous price Everton were going to pay for a player from the championship, we go out and match the bid

We've been Levy'd

Sissoko has been available all summer. Why wait until the last day to bid £30m? Just stinks of bad planning tbh.

Yep, exactly this. Not to mention as others have said he's not all that good. Our transfer business tends to be a mess, especially on deadline day.

Levy thinks he's being clever and saving money by waiting....and then we bid 30m for Moussa fckin Sissoko. Madness.

What a summer for Newcastle. Sold all of the underperforming garbage for massive profit.
