Our finishing is really poor, and not very clinical at all. That's really our only problem in this game so far, because in every other department we've been very good actually.

We are just shit at finishing chances and mentally weak. Stoke was just a few weeks and today again. We need to win these games 3 or 4-0 easily. Nowadays we make life just too difficult for us.

Heaton hasn't been that good really, not one piece of real skill. It's all down to our poor finishing. Lingard has been poor as well imo, I'd rather Young or Memphis given a chance in the second half.
Heaton made a number of great saves, including one from a very good header from Lingard.

Clattenberg is bad enough, but the side judge missed 2 huge calls in the final minutes of the half. I don't think it was a penalty, but definitely a free kick just outside the box. Then the foul on Lingard. Both were obvious fouls. The worst thing is having to listen to the one NBCSN announcer, he's so obvious against Utd. His final statement made me laugh out loud, implying that a foul must be painful to be a foul. What an idiot.

Hahaha yeah i was just wtf?!

If your eyes are telling you that was a shit first half performance you should get to the optician.
It was not shit, but it wasn't either the flowing attacking football we should be playing with this kind of players, you know?

And the time before that he was great against Hull. Lingard was utterly shite against City too - he's continued to play.

    Have I missed something?
Players should be judged solely on a limited sample size of their most recent 1-2 games. Their body of work prior to that is irrelevant because form.

Don't be fooled by our gung-ho approach this season. The only improvement under Jose is individual quality of players.

Forget about the style of football. We are only marginally better than last season in terms of how well our team works as a unit. Every style of football has its deficiencies and Burnley is showing that, as did Hull.

Great first half, all we need is a goal! Would like to see Depay for Lingard if he cant start the second half better than he did in the first though.
I agree, and think it's well worth the gamble. We don't have much time for underachievers as it stands.

None of that has anything to do with what I was saying.

No I wouldn't be satisfied with a 0-0 draw but that doesn't mean we're playing shit.
I don't think we are playing like shite either, but it doesn't change the face that we are firming up our 7th place league position. I think it's fair for the fans to be frustrated.

I miss the days of Ruud. One chance, one goal. What a striker that guy was.
Tbh just a good striker would be nice ha even Defoe would of bagged 10 goals for us by now, one that isn't a teenager and one that isn't over 30

    Red Card for Casemiro!
Good first half performance. We've kept Burnley under pressure throughout, and poor finishing and shit refereeing is all that has stopped us from going ahead. More of this please.

Mata has been our best player. Pogba, Lingard have had their moments, too. Zlatan is brilliant in his link-up, but poor in his finishing and has givenaway unnecessary fouls. That Rashford cross was a beauty, someone should have been attacking near post.

I think it's a matter of time before we score - Burnley will run out of steam and concentration towards the end of the game. No need to panic.
Ibra off for me, and then one of the wingers after that if we don't open the scoring
And bring in who? Memphis Depay?

If just one of those chances had gone in everyone would be talking very differently. People can't see past the scoreline.

A flying start to the 2nd half please, just like the first. An early goal, and our 1st half woes are all forgotten.

Why does Ibrahimovic take so long to decide what to do and is so slow to react? It's bizarre.

As Cruijf said : football is a simple game, you need to score more than the other team.. Or something to that effect. Great stats don't mean anything if it doesn't get you results.

"Someone who never played football"..

If he's too tired to stop a football, then why hasn't he been subbed off yet? Why was he selected to start in the first place? It seems you know more than the entire coaching staff at United and you magically know a players fitness level better than he does himself. :houllier:
I played football on a good level for some time so I certainly know it can affect the player.. the reason why he gets selected? just look at rooney we have we selected in every game he was fit for last three season, if you're not that stupid you will get it but it's clear that Zlatan is trying to reserve some energy so his touch is a bit sloppy, you can even see that he's not trying to press defenders..

You don't bench someone like Ibra when you need to win. Simple as that. He's been fine.

If we create the same amount and quality of chances we did in the first half we'll score at least one.

Could be better but it's not bad football by any stretch.

How are we suppsoed to score when Lingard and Zlatan feck up 95% of the time they get the ball? If it''s not one of them fecking up the build up you can guarantee that's because it'll be one of them fecking up the final ball or finish instead.
