    Jesse Lingarrd is so frustrating.

I dont know what it is, but ever since Ferguson left, we have been impotent at home in games we are dominating. The players just lack confidence in front of goal.

Mata has been very good though.

    Exactly!
IMO, we are dominating the opponents. The problem is their GK.
If we were up against a "normal" GK, we'd probably be 2 up.

Decent first half, we look very comfortable particularly defensively.
    Just need a goal.

Poor overall. Ibrahimovic has become a real impediment. He keeps insisting on being a playmaker when he would make our lives a lot easier by getting positions in front of goal. Having Mata and Ibra in the middle is like having Rooney and Ibra there, there is not enough quickness to keep play moving.

Pogba did little until the last 10 minutes or so. Lingard was awful. I expected him to play on the right and make runs deep but he seems to be a second 10. Why, I have no idea.

Our backline has been pretty good considering its makeshift but there's a mistake in there. We need to get a goal right after we come out and calm everyone's nerves.

The Darmian collision at the end looked like a stonewall foul to me. He may have been just outside the line but Clattenburg took no action one way or another and naturally he'll get away with it.

We need to score as soon as possible at the start of the 2nd half. Come on United

Playing well, but you have to score goals to win games...stats don't mean much if you don't have the cutting edge
Except we do have a cutting edge. Ibra just needs to get his finger out and start scoring

Half time came at the wrong point.

we can't afford to start the 2nd slowly, need to get straight back into this.

The goal was coming, keeper has made some decent saves. Once we get 1 I can see 2 and 3 coming quickly.

Weird really. I think there has been lots that give me hope going forward. Brisk, high ball speed, lots of tempo and intent.
This should be the type of stats shown at home against sides like Burnley. It shouldn't be giving you hope, rather, anything less should have you concerned.

Just curious...If we end up drawing, at home, and continue to fall further and further behind...is this okay for you? I agree, we are playing pretty well, but that doesn't mean anything at the end of the day. Being able to show stats that prove you were the better team does not secure you any more points...

Yeah we are actually playing well. But it's no use if we can't win this as we will be too far behind. You can't achieve anything in the league failing to beat the likes of Stoke and Burnley at home.

I don't think Barca are bigger than United. That's all.

Feck the flicks. I want to see the ball in the back of the net. Yet again, he's had chances and he's not put them away.
as a united Fan of course i think united are bigger then Barca, but i cant imagine the pressure is much different.

i just think the guy is 35 and his form is fluctuating like every 35 year old footballer.

In a game like this all you can do is keep testing the keeper and hope on flies in. Unfortunately there isn't anyone on the bench who can come on and make a goal from nothing.

So we do agree in the end :D I miss the Zlatan who would explose the net with powerful shots. He looks so tame with his low shots now :(
yeah it's a shame that but more often than not we are looking for him in the box for a header hwne he can finish all sort of chances but he's better with his foot I guess it's down to lack of quality from the classic wingplay..

I'd try out Memphis, ven though he doesn't go past players consistently, he's a decent crosser and Zlatan could benefit from it

My solid 1-0 prediction is looking sweet. Too boot we're hammering them as expected - just can't finish for beans.

Heaton hasn't actually done anything special. Unless we think we can score by shooting right at him.

Heaton hasn't been that good really, not one piece of real skill. It's all down to our poor finishing. Lingard has been poor as well imo, I'd rather Young or Memphis given a chance in the second half.

The obligatory rubbish first half is over. Now bring on the 2nd where we play like Brazil 70.
We could and perhaps should have been 3 up at this stage. Combination of their keeper playing a blinder and poor finishing in front of goal. This is becoming quite the common occurrence.

Still I think we performed quite considering.

It was only a slight 10 minute period in the half that United looked really awful. Other than that, United have looked pretty good. It's just frustrating that United haven't scored yet.

If Cnutenberg doesn't think Darmian was fouled then he is saying Darmian dived, so why wasn't Darmian shown a yellow?

Clattenberg is bad enough, but the side judge missed 2 huge calls in the final minutes of the half. I don't think it was a penalty, but definitely a free kick just outside the box. Then the foul on Lingard. Both were obvious fouls. The worst thing is having to listen to the one NBCSN announcer, he's so obvious against Utd. His final statement made me laugh out loud, implying that a foul must be painful to be a foul. What an idiot.

What makes you think Miki would do well, here?
The last time I saw him play he was dreadful. Have I missed something?
And the time before that he was great against Hull. Lingard was utterly shite against City too - he's continued to play.

    Have I missed something?

We are really unlucky this year. Hull, even citywatford, and one more team been good just couldnt score.

Great first half, all we need is a goal! Would like to see Depay for Lingard if he cant start the second half better than he did in the first though.

None of that has anything to do with what I was saying.

No I wouldn't be satisfied with a 0-0 draw but that doesn't mean we're playing shit.
