Our finishing is really poor, and not very clinical at all. That's really our only problem in this game so far, because in every other department we've been very good actually.
It's like Stoke a few weeks back. Play well, create chances but don't end up with 3 points. It's just going to be on of those games isn't it...
Heaton made a number of great saves, including one from a very good header from Lingard.Heaton hasn't been that good really, not one piece of real skill. It's all down to our poor finishing. Lingard has been poor as well imo, I'd rather Young or Memphis given a chance in the second half.
How is Rojo doing?
Clattenberg is bad enough, but the side judge missed 2 huge calls in the final minutes of the half. I don't think it was a penalty, but definitely a free kick just outside the box. Then the foul on Lingard. Both were obvious fouls. The worst thing is having to listen to the one NBCSN announcer, he's so obvious against Utd. His final statement made me laugh out loud, implying that a foul must be painful to be a foul. What an idiot.
It was not shit, but it wasn't either the flowing attacking football we should be playing with this kind of players, you know?If your eyes are telling you that was a shit first half performance you should get to the optician.
And the time before that he was great against Hull. Lingard was utterly shite against City too - he's continued to play.
Have I missed something?
I feel there is a general lack of appreciation for quality of play with the majority of PL fans. Results above everything.15 attempts
7 on target
70%+ possession (can't remember the exact number)
91% passing accuracy
The caf: "we're shit"
Great first half, all we need is a goal! Would like to see Depay for Lingard if he cant start the second half better than he did in the first though.
Players should be judged solely on a limited sample size of their most recent 1-2 games. Their body of work prior to that is irrelevant because form.
Yeah . No doubt we'll win.I know, I was just about to commit when I remembered that you can't change it so I went more conservative!
We'll do it!
None of that has anything to do with what I was saying.
No I wouldn't be satisfied with a 0-0 draw but that doesn't mean we're playing shit.
Tbh just a good striker would be nice ha even Defoe would of bagged 10 goals for us by now, one that isn't a teenager and one that isn't over 30I miss the days of Ruud. One chance, one goal. What a striker that guy was.
Martial or Micky would be handy to have. Made for them.
And bring in who? Memphis Depay?Ibra off for me, and then one of the wingers after that if we don't open the scoring
If just one of those chances had gone in everyone would be talking very differently. People can't see past the scoreline. It was not shit, but it wasn't either the flowing attacking football we should be playing with this kind of players, you know?
As Cruijf said : football is a simple game, you need to score more than the other team.. Or something to that effect. Great stats don't mean anything if it doesn't get you results.I feel there is a general lack of appreciation for quality of play with the majority of PL fans. Results above everything.
I played football on a good level for some time so I certainly know it can affect the player.. the reason why he gets selected? just look at rooney we have we selected in every game he was fit for last three season, if you're not that stupid you will get it but it's clear that Zlatan is trying to reserve some energy so his touch is a bit sloppy, you can even see that he's not trying to press defenders.."Someone who never played football"..
If he's too tired to stop a football, then why hasn't he been subbed off yet? Why was he selected to start in the first place? It seems you know more than the entire coaching staff at United and you magically know a players fitness level better than he does himself.
