I never seem to worry about Arsenal coming to OT. Mind you I was like that before the FA Cup tie not too long ago. 4-2 in our favour. Great news Bellerend is out.

Perfectly happy to see Carrick in but he has to be protected, he can be very slow to move, decide & pass.

Only thing I want to see is Rashford as a striker & Martial as LW, with Mata as no.10

No Fellaini please. Lingard, Mata, Martial and Rash as our front 4 PLEASE. Pogba and Herrera/Blind/Carrick behind. MkHitaryan to come on if Lingard are having a City-game

Pretty much spot on @Random Task. God help us if we get relegated, that would mean half the caf would start supporting other "large", teams.

    Edit:

I think it was weastedevil that said, if ever we get relegated, the membership of the forum would go down.
Bollocks, if this place was full of gloryhunters, most would have been gone already.

Can't see us not winning this one. Seen too many articles and comments about how Wenger will finally get one over Mourinho. The opposite always seems to come true

Glad Herrera will be back for this one.

    Martial Rashford Lingard
    Pogba Herrera
    Carrick
    Blind Rojo Jones Darmian
    deGea
I like this team, but can't see Jose going with that front three. He spoke about how well Pogba played due to having Carrick, Mata, Herrera and Rooney around him, so I think we'll see Mata and/or Rooney start.

Surely Mourinho maintains his record over Wenger despite how shit we have been! not to mention since that 2004 game at OT where we ended their unbeaten run we have given Arsenal a lot of grief and they've never been the same again, they couldn't beat us even with bloody David Moyes as our manager and when we had a depleted squad last season at OT and the title was on the line.

Carrick for Fellani and I think that's right.

As for the defenders, Valencia, Jones, Rojo and Shaw I think

Lots of statistics work in our favor, Arsenal not winning at OT for a decade I think and winning just 3 games since PL was introduced and Wenger never winning vs Jose in PL.
Our last 3 managers have been making it a habit of breaking negative records, I hope it won't happen today. We usually smack them even when we're low.

Tbf, since 1990 they've won 5 matches at OT, drawn 5 and we've won 15.
That's because we used to be better than arsenal. We aren't anymore.

I'm sure Liverpool used to be able to boast stats like that to. Means nothing now though, does it?

    Darmian - Jones - Blind - Shaw
    Carrick - Herrera
    Mata - Pogba - Rashford

I kind of wish that Rashford is played ahead of rooney through the middle, but I don't think that will happen.

Rooney and Fellaini will start and you can bet your life we will park the bus - even at OT. I expect a dull 0-0
Expecting both to start but don't think we'll be quite as defensive as we were in the 2nd half of the Liverpool game.

Also hoping for Rashford through the middle.

Carrick for Fellani and I think that's right.

I think Mourinho loves Fellaini for these games, just like LVG did.

I don't understand it, since with Carrick & Herrera we actually have a chance to control the game, while if Fellaini plays you just know we'll be pushed back and won't be able to put 3 passes together before punting it long. But I guess statistics work in his favour (2nd balls, set pieces,...).

According to Jose Fellaini is still injured. He withdrew from the Belgium sqaud and was not in the training picture yesterday.

    hoping to see

    ------------------------------DDG----------------------------------
    Valencia ------------ Jones -------- Blind ------------------ Shaw
    -------------------------Carrick - Herrera--------------------------
    -------Mata ----------------- Pogba - ------------------Martial
    ----------------------------Rashford-------------------------------
    Darmian if Valencia isn't fit

have a feeling he might use Fellaini in this instead of Carrick and try and kill the game

If Martial's on the bench it'll confirm that Jose's mismanaging him. I bet he starts with Rooney, Fellaini instead. I'm fast losing faith and have no confidence for today:(

Although that still only makes 15 and two of them are goalies. The M.E.N. are saying Fellaini is injured and Jose said he was.

Ah fair enough then. Will be interesting to see how Jose sets us up in that case, given we've no big man to hit.

    Can't wait for this.

Guaranteed starters for us today are Cech, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Xhaka, Ozil and Theo. Jenkinson likely takes the right back spot and then any of Ramsey, Sanchez, Giroud and Iwobi for the final two spots. Hoping for the first two, Iwobi's in a poor run of form and I expect us to play on the counter, making Giroud a liability. Evidence suggests either team could blow the other away in the first half hour, or it'll be a cagey and boring draw. The latter sounds most likely.

Wonder if the "rumour" came from the man himself. Although Luckhurst's track record is pretty poor.
