I watched only the 2nd half but we look assured and overall really, really good.

Jones and Rojo looked brilliant, Rojo got Rondon rattled. :D

Ibra, what to say, I can only laugh at all those who doubted him and even wanted him out...
For a old guy who can just score vs Lorient and Sochaux he's pretty good isn't he?

Zlatan is our top scorer 16 goals in all comps.

Mata and Pogba are second with 5 each.

Madness!

Most controlled away performance for a long time.

Also Jonas Olsson is the worst player in the league

Easier than the Palace win. Made WBA look like chumps. Solid performances all round. What the hell has happened to Rojo. Great game again. Can enjoy the games tomorrow.

Professional performance. Controlled everything from start to finish. Really impressed by our makeshift defence. Rojo and Jones have really stepped it up. Carrick is obviously just pure class.

Pogba and Ibra are coming into form again. Great performance from Jesse as well. Rooney worked his bollocks off and was unlucky not to score.

Cant complain about the 3 points away from home. Now hopefully we go on and smash some teams at OT.

Not to dampen the mood or anything but these first few victories after that series of draws kind of rather hurt me when I look back and think we should have won at least three out of the six draws we have played. That would have given us extra 6 points and we would have been very much in touch with the first place. Those games weren't even close to being an even contest.

I am not buying into pundits saying we're now only competing for fourth spot. You get to hear it week in week out - how some team is running away with the league or how some team is surely not getting in top four. And then the some team goes on a run of three back to back to back victories and start to get lauded as the new contenders of top spot. Ever since we won three consecutive games under LvG towards the end of his terrible first season and went back into the mix for actually winning the league (or finishing second) and despite being poor, ended up in top four, I stopped buying into the excessive analysis of games (and corresponding results and their impact on a team's season) that take place before the month of February. So I am glad we have done some damage limitation now and look like we're finally going to go on that run everyone is looking forward to since the beginning of the season and get ourselves into a much respectable position in the league - something that reflects the quality of football we have played at times. Fingers crossed.

So glad to have a calm dominating game like this for a change. I'm so happy knowing that we can gain on one of the top teams at least.

Zlatan has been immense for us. Just love his spirit as well, during the interviews he is always joking, but come on the pitch and he does his business!

Upwards and onwards! GGMU!

It was a good result but good performance? It was a poor game imo and we have and can play better than this. Ibra lucky he didnt get a red card, and Rooney unlucky not to score. Lingard could have sealed it in the first half with a bit more composure.

Haven't seen today's game but I love how in control we are in most of our matches. DDG has had very little to do for the most part.

...and now BT running a section about us being incredibly lucky with referees this season. Fantastic.
BBC live text saying we sat deeper and deeper in the last 20 mins, and one of the 'get involved' folk saying we parked the bus, another one called us a "bus shaped rock". According to the media, we've probably never won a game deservedly, and I certainly feel like I watched a different game to them.

How can you park the bus with 60% possession? I remember thinking those last 10-15 minutes especially that we were so comfortable, passing the ball around and slowing things right down, still having a few attacks with Rashford causing problems. They didn't put us under any pressure towards the end apart from that one run at Darmian from Leko, which was headed away comfortably. We were in complete control, but the media says otherwise.

BT think we are only winning because the referees are giving us everything. I used like Jake Humphrey when he did the F1 on BBC, now he just comes across as an ABU cnut. Talking completely shit and seems like he knows nothing about football.
BT should be rebranded LFC TV

Ha ha saw that. Also said it on 5 live at half time about we get all the desicions. Why didnt they discuss the penalty shout?

Anyway top result in a potential slip up type game. Thought we looked fairly comfortable for most of it. We definitely play better when carrick and a pacy attacker play. God we need to find a suitable replacement for carrick for when he finishes.

Very good 6 points from two away games where we'd have stumbled previously. The fixture list for the next two months looks relatively safe. Time to kick on

You haven't been watching football for very long have you?.

Anyway, very good performance. Rooney was outstanding as was Carrick and Jones. Ibra did his job perfectly, Lingard was full of energy and Rashford did what was asked of him perfectly.

We were in complete control and got the job done.

Another muchneeded 3 points in a game that can often be very tricky. West Brom are often hard to beat and aren't where they are in the table without being a good side at times. Still not a barn storming display but it's encouraging that we're getting the points and hopefully some real good form is just around the corner.

Love Carrick controlling the game in Midfield. Another master class performance

Good away performance and a well deserved one week break coming up.

Very comfortable. Full credit to West Brom for how well they have been doing, but they really can only play one way. When the least bit of skill is required things don't go well for them.

I thought we controlled the match very well. We had them running all over the pitch all match long and you could tell in the last 15 minutes most of their legs were shot. Had we gone for the jugular I think we could've put in another 2 or 3. Sensible though to just keep it tight considering how many matches we have allowed other teams back into the game for a draw.

Our defense was solid. Rojo and Jones bossed Rondon. Nice to have Valencia back. Darmian wasn't great but did what was required.

I thought our midfield was very good. Had them running in circles.

Ibra. Well, enough said. I have to admit that when he announced his arrival I was going to predict that he would struggle for 15 goals in all comps. Oops. Shows you how little I know. As an aside...for those who think his foul should've been a red, then I reckon Brunt goes for his obvious shoulder charge of similar force on Rashford when the ball was 20 yards away. It's ridiculous to see challenges like that as it literally turns the game into a rugby match. It was deliberate, used excessive force and endangers the player every bit as much.

I didn't think Rooney was all that good. This should be his last season. We need to find a way to move him on or just bench him. I Was hoping Martial was going to come on for him in the last half hour.

Lingard was lively. His assist on the opening goal was better than I personally ever expect of him. The lad gives his heart which is nice to see but he does lack composure more often than producing world class touches...

Finally mounting a top 4 challenge and our next two matches are both at home and very winnable!

I didn't watch your game, but looking at the recent results, I think the run of wins you've all been waiting for is here.

Well said. Nothing showcases what you are saying more than the fact that on the 24th of September, Chelsea were 8 points behind the leaders. Fast forward 3 months later, they are 9 points clear.

Jose himself also said he wants to win the rest of the games this year and see what 2017 can bring. Chelsea will have a wobble, nearly every leading team does, and by that point if we are in the top 4, we are in the race.

I have watched Utd since the 70's The baggies were poor and we were a bit better. We should of pushed on and got more goals but we seemed more content passing it back sometimes from the halfway line and once from their penalty box. Take it your just another sheep who types what the majority say.
