Herrera man marked Hazard out of the game. The suprise partnership of Lingard and Rashford up top. Darmian playing infield and creating that extra man on the ball. Carrick coming on to nullify Fabregas.

Jose has completely out-thought Conte this afternoon.

Yep, really good stuff. Always was good at being the underdog, Mourinho. Top marks to him today, as well as several players.

Best post Ferguson performance

Every player a minimum of 8 out of 10

By far mourinho's best moment as Utd manager

He got it spot on

And can people now please stop slating the squad players. Fellaini, young, Lingard and even Darmian all proved their worth today

It was just like when Ferguson played Giggs-Fletcher against Chelsea in 2009 and everyone on the caf thought we would lose.

That's a bit silly, though. One good game and they've proved their worth? Fellaini and Darmian have been very rightly criticised based on much more than one match.

Lingard, however, is proving a lot of doubters, myself included, wrong at the moment. Great to see him doing so well.

Imagine thinking he's finished as a manager after this tactical masterclass with Ashley Young, Lingard and Fellaini on the pitch, they played their hearts out for him and that shows the difference. He wants his players to die for the club and we're seeing the results of that, if fannys don't want to put in the required effort they can feck off, I'd prefer seeing warriors on the pitch like this every week than more talented sooks.

Great performance and Mourinho showed what he is all about when his players follow is instructions to a tee. It must be frustrating for him considering at least 5 of the draws should have been wins and we would have been 10 points better off. Its only small margins and I am confident about next season.

Herrera marked out Hazard, Fellaini marked out Matić, Pogba took a shit on Kante. Not many would have given those three a good chance against Chelsea's midfield prior to the game.

Agree, particularly on Darmian. He's been shocking pretty much all season so this good performance doesn't spare him from criticism. That being said if he can perform like this regularly he'd certainly earn his place in the squad.

Yup, he got it right against this current Chelsea side. I don't think it's a strategy that will work long term, mind you. But against a Chelsea side in a back five that excel on the counter, that's the right plan.

This is what José can offer. God, I hope he succeeds here. I have my doubts but performances like this inspire hope.

We all questioned his team selection but he's done it again hasn't he? Well done Jose. Obviously well thought out prior to today. We beat a well oiled machine and with less recovery time!

Jose is very good at working out how to stop teams before anyone else. He was the first coach to work out how to beat that great Barcelona team and everyone copied his template soon after.

Mourinho showed his quality, he made every right decision. It also brilliant that he left out Zlatan for Rashford and was rewarded with the early goal. Plus Zlatan is nice and rested for the BIG match on Thursday.

Mourinho got almost everything spot on today. Herrera as right back and man marking hazard. Young legs uptop. But most importantly we played at a high tempo. It's what I hoped we'd do prior to the game and Chelsea had no answer to our energy.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Need to show up like this consistently against the big sides before I get too excited though.

This is the great thing about football. Every was wanking furiously about Conte recently and slating Mou in comparison and then Mou totally out thinks him. I hope Spurs win the title now. One it is good for the PL to have a new winner and two I want to see that botox wanker Conte put back in his box.

All that was missing was a wild overreaction to our second goal where he screams in Contes face.

This is for me the end of Conte's 3-4-3 . Become easy to counter .

Play with 3-4-3 too , Pack the flanks with players to close on their wing backs and Hazard/Pedro , put a one especially to be on Eden one on one . High pressing on their back 3 to prevent them from building the play . This will leave Matic and Kante isolated in the midfield and they are horrible in building the play or attacking .

All teams knew this by now . Next season won't be very bright for Chelsea if they remained with the same tactics.

There were posters saying we would lose 3-0 beforehand. I knew that wouldn't happen. I thought it would be a draw.

We done well. Got the luck and nullified them in the end.

There is nothing between the top six. Next year and the year after that we will have a different winner.

Thought Fellaini was very good today.

In part because the last time we played this formation against Chelsea we were on the ropes, today we played aggressively and pushed them back.

If anyone on this forum still doesn't believe Jose is the man for us, give your head a wobble!

Mourinho pulled a classic Fergie today.

Teamsheet met with disdain from Utd supporters. Team performs excellent and grabs fairly routine win.

Perfect. Our 1st win against the top 4 this season as well in the league.

Edit: Forgot Tottenham. So 2nd win.

Chelsea had 0 attempts on target. De gea didn't make a save. I'll never question Jose again.
