Jones is a liability because he keeps getting injured.
This is the same Ferguson that kept the likes of Jones, Smalling, Anderson and Rafael through all the inuries they suffered under his reign? You think he wouldn't? that's cause he would get rid those kind of players.
It's not the same. Injury prone players and players who doesn't want to give their all and don't want to play if fit. This is the same Ferguson that kept the likes of Jones, Smalling, Anderson and Rafael through all the inuries they suffered under his reign?
Jose may well believe that Jones and Smalling have just decided to down tools and can't be bothered for the fight. Or that they don't want to play and are willing to milk their injuries. Strange that Ferguson never seemed to think these things?
Difference is under Sir Alex both players were not immediate starters so them being injuried was not too much of a problem. Now we need them. Both players have been injury prone for a number of seasons and they generally are 'minor' injuries. I can't believe a broken toe has made Jones unavailable for so long. Why would Carneiro do her job and go and examine a player who's gone down with a head injury? What would Jose have to gain by attacking his medical staff for doing their jobs?

Neither of us can ever know how true it is. When you don't know if a person is guilty for something, you don't go ahead and accuse them for it do you? The other issue here is recognizing patterns. Jones and Smalling played under Sir Alex, Moyes, Val Gaal, Hodgson and Capello, none of them ever questioned their commitment or honesty. Mourinho questionned the commitment of professionals wherever he has been. Who is more likely to be constructing a deliberately false and harmful narrative here? What if they're fit and don't want to come back? What if it's true. I mean, ok you wouldn't ever think it's true cause Jose is the poison but what if?
Well it's two of the same players, so it is pretty much the same. You think Smalling and Jones were genuinely injured under SAF but are faking under Mourinho? It's not the same. Injury prone players and players who doesn't want to give their all and don't want to play if fit.
You think Rafael shrunk from responsibility for instance?

The whole thing with Carneiro was blown completely out of proportion, if she wasn't a woman it would never have been a story.
Unbelievable really.I don't think I've ever seen this before. Fans wanting players out over a suspicion they're purposely delaying a return to the first team. Jose's venom slowly seeping into the collective conscious.
And if he plans on selling them anyway some other clubs would be stuck with the long term damage playing injured caused.Jones, Smalling & Shaw may well be the sensible ones, ensuring they are fully fit before returning. It might well be that the so called soldiers who come back early are the fools, particularly if it leads to long term injuries & affects their careers. If it was me I would tell the tedious bully where he could go, & wouldn't want to play for a club that treated its players like this.
We don't know. Maybe they started it recently.Well it's two of the same players, so it is pretty much the same. You think Smalling and Jones were genuinely injured under SAF but are faking under Mourinho?
I read the BBC article, which stated Jose's quotes, not the interviewers. Regardless, he didn't have to word it in such way. He has continually mentioned Jones and Smalling in the last few weeks, even when not asked about them. He has directly compared them to Mata giving everything to be available. Despite what he was asked, it is clear what he is trying to say, because it's not the first time he has said it.Interviewer asks "what about Jones and Smalling?"
Jose answers "I prefer not to speak (about them)"
Article headline "Jose calls out Jones and Smalling again."
Have you ever considered sports journalism? You have a flair for it.
Or Ferguson would never say or do it.Another round of "but Ferguson did it".
Just when a manager with a history of questioning his players' commitment arrived at the club. What unfortunate timing on their part.We don't know. Maybe they started it recently.
I guess the bastard is lying through his teeth. The cnut.Just when a manager with a history of questioning his players' commitment arrived at the club. What unfortunate timing on their part.
You know what else is not good? Underachieving for 4 years with the same bunch of players.I don't have an issue with Mou wanting players to fight through the pain barrier at a time like this, or him selling injury prone players. I just wish publicly criticising his players wasn't becoming a theme of his reign. It's not good.
I don't think it's anything like they're fit but I'm get Jose's point and I'm with him on this. It's about being on the attitude towards your recovery process and you don't want to push yourself because that toe is still a little swollen or there's still a little discomfort here and there so let's take it easy on the rehab. Basically Jose is asking them how eager they are to recover. Some people make it out like he wants our players to play on with blood, gore and broken limps flailing about. It shouldn't have been thrown out in the open, but that's been done probably since Jose is already fed up with it. I am not either of Jones or Smalling's biggest fan but with our injury crisis, I too am annoyed these two aren't available to help out, yet again. What if they're fit and don't want to come back? What if it's true. I mean, ok you wouldn't ever think it's true cause Jose is the poison but what if?
We played a starting 11 this season where Fellaini was the longest serving player at the club. It has not been the same group of players. You know what else is not good? Underachieving for 4 years with the same bunch of players.
Vaginas the lot of them. Crocked all the time. Part timers. No fight. Not even trying to play through pain. Taking forever to get into "match rhythm".
Enough us enough. Look at bailly, Ibra and pogba. They have run themselves into the ground for this team. The rest need to follow suit or feck off out the club.

None of which has anything to do with my post really. You know what else is not good? Underachieving for 4 years with the same bunch of players.

Christ, must have been some tackle.Bailly will be fine for the next game , he was taken off precautionary and he hurt myself with a stupid tackle
Where do you stand on Smalling? Jose thinks he could/should be on the pitch.I guess the bastard is lying through his teeth. The cnut.
I don't know. I just don't think he's that mad he would expect a player who's not fully fit to play. Maybe he asked for a day or 2 more. It's just strange that Mata, who had an operation is back and these 2 are not.Where do you stand on Smalling? Jose thinks he could/should be on the pitch.
Smalling confirmed he was a knee brace till last week, doing pool work a few days ago.
Himself , damn autocorrect.Christ, must have been some tackle.
You must be a closet Spurs or Real Madrid fan.Amazed that some seem to be siding with Jose here. He's absolutely out of order, repeatedly going public with his belief that Smalling, Jones and Shaw could play but choose not to.
Purely an effort to deflect from his own underachievement this season in my opinion.
That's certainly how it seems. They've had enough chances - Jones especially - it's now a choice for them: play or be sold. There's no point us carrying them in the squad any longer if they don't make it on the pitch when we need them.If the next game was the Champions League final I bet Jones/Smalling would take an injection to play in it. Swansea at home and it's 'nah you're alright boss'.
He did call them out before, but not today. There is indeed a comparison to Mata because he praised Mata instead when being asked a question over Jones and Smalling. That said, Jose still didn't "call them out again". This would be akin to Jose responding to a question over Rooney by saying he doesn't want to talk about Rooney, but praises Ibra instead and the media portrays it as an attack on Rooney.I read the BBC article, which stated Jose's quotes, not the interviewers. Regardless, he didn't have to word it in such way. He has continually mentioned Jones and Smalling in the last few weeks, even when not asked about them.
