Looks like he could be finally leaving PSG. Thought there would be a thread open for him rife with muppetitis already.

Can't see him coming anywhere near England. Barca, Real and Juve are the only likely destinations.

Dont think they will sell him. I think their president would rather sell PSG than Verratti.

I think Barca have the best chances if they sell, with Bayern and Juve with some hope.

Barca and Verratti are the perfect fit for each other. Whether or not they've the money for it is another discussion.

Unfortunately with Barca in the picture can't see us landing him.

A midfield three of Verratti, Pogba and Fabinho would be as good as any right now and set for years to come (with also Herrera as backup).Would give us also control in most of the games.

But to me he's Barca bound.

Would be excited if I didn't believe we weren't in for him.

Word in Spain is that Barsa is all over him but PSG ownership does not want to sell, specially to Barsa (they don't explain why them).

I mentioned this in another thread, but does anyone else think Naingollan is the superior player? Would love Veratti mind, especially considering his age. But for me the former just has everything to his game.

He is VERY good player and would be on par with signing Pogba but I think if we could sign Fabinho, as a midfield unit we'd be suitably effective with Pogba/Herrera/Fabinho.

Verrati (in place of Herrera) would give us arguably the best midfield 3 in Europe. That'd be dream team territory.

Seems like an ideal Perez signing...
He is too similar to Kroos. They don't need him. He'll fit perfectly in Barca, Bayern and United in a 3-man midfield.

Busquets, Iniesta, Veratti
Herrera/Fabinho, Pogba, Veratti
Vidal, Thiago, Veratti

The difference this summer is that it looks like Verratti wants out, which changes everything as there's no point keeping unhappy players.

PSG could always say no to all offers when the player was committed to them, but that's not the case anymore.

He'll still cost a bomb, which could be a sticking point for the likes of Juve and Barca unless they sell to buy.

I asked for the verratti thread to be reopened this morning upon reading he asked to leave.

Italian media all over this, as expected they would be.

He's more of a Modric replacement than Casemiro.
He is very capable as a DM

They don't need many of their signings, but this one seems right up Perez's alley. High profile and good looking.

Other needs for Barcelona but if he's on market, Barça has to make it happen- PSG have been turned off by Barto/Rosell tactics so may make the deal improbable

FWIW, he just followed several Barcelona players on Instagram which has been a harbinger of a pending transfer

Madrid don't need him. They have the perfect midfield set up at the moment in Casemiro, Kroos and Modric.

Barca could do with him though. Would be a huge signing for them.

Another reason why Perez should be very interested in this.

True but I can't see Zidane wanting to disrupt the chemistry the midfield has. I know Perez may have the power, but sounds similar to the De Gea situation - Zidane seems to have ended the De Gea saga early this year by backing Navas.

Getting Veratti would mean dropping one of those 4 in big matches when all of them would be expecting to play. It's just causing un-needed friction.

Just hoping he leaves PSG for once. Even if not for United. So tired of the Verratti-is-Unattainable! Brigade. As if PSG is a big club with a chance of winning anything outside France.

Can't see PSG selling but if they do, barca is the most likely destination. He'll cost a fecking bomb though.

Maybe Perez will sign him just to spite Barca!

Barca are a financial mess. With Messi about to sign a new contract, I don't think they'll be able to afford his fees and wages. They don't even have bench players that they can sell for big money to fund purchases.

Just throw the bank at him and some.

That may all be true, but based on Perez' logic with Makelele all those years ago, replacing Casemiro with Verratti must be a grand idea.

Possible. I just don't see him moving outside the top 3.

It'll take more than money for anyone to land him. He could even have PSG match what anyone else offers and stay, if money is his draw.

Definitely don't see this being a case of highest bidder wins as he will have his choice of every club on the planet who can afford to show interest.
