Every part.

To say, as a supposed United fan that moving to Chelsea is a better move than moving to United is what is ridiculous about it. United is always the better move.
Oh I get you now. I should wear the rose-tinteds and never have an impartial opinion.

You're why it can be hard to be a United fan around other supporters.

Either the papers reporting that Madrid turned down 80m from us are wrong or the papers reporting they agreed on 58m with Chelsea are wrong. It just can't be both.

I wanted Morata for his big game experience. We have Lukaku, would have preferred both as one is not enough. If we do not make a couple more signings it will be more of the same, or we have to hope we are still in touch when Ibra come back and that he is at full pelt when he does. We lacked goals last season and we are gambling that those players who failed last season all of a sudden become prolific. I think we will get more from Mhki, Rashford it will depends where or if he plays. Martial I am just not sure.
Its the ones behind Lukaku that need to pick up the slack as we will only play with one striker most games. We need Miki Mata Martial Rashford Pogba Herrera Fellaini Periera New players reserves (Ibra?) and defence can chip in with 55-60 goals between them

You think your club would never lie about transfer cost or spout BS?
We're the reigning champions, ffs. No, I don't think the club would get caught up in petty shite like "getting one over" on United.

Did we want Lukaku? I'm sure we did. Were we caught off guard by United's sudden interest and transfer? Yes. But I don't think our board members rang up some journalists and made sure it got out there that we payed much less for Morata than you payed for Lukaku.

Because it's impossible United got the shaft from Madrid?

When looking at players overall goals scored, I've never thought to exclude goals scored in lower divisions.

Real Madrid B play in the proper league system (rather than a reserve league like in England) don't they? IF they don't fair enough, they should not count.
Yeah doesnt matter what league a player scores goals in. by the way how about that Matthew godden maybe we should buy him for 70m, 81 goals in 182 league games. Only 25!

Madrid lowered the price after no one would match it even Chelsea but they need to sell for mbappe

You can't just pretend the goals were not scored! By all means say "58 goals in the top division".
Morata would be great signing for Chelsea everyone knows but not for 90 m euros madrid were quoting bullishly, because that would be a risk.

He'll replace Costa with ease.

I think Madrid overplayed their hand and our sudden move for Lukaku caught them off guard. So Chelsea could have been lucky that Madrid having missed on a big sale just a few weeks ago were easier to deal with this time around.

Then what was all the about Chelsea not wanting to pay the agent fee but Lukakus personal choice is Chelsea but agent is taking him to United briefing and matching uniteds bid in last phase.

I hope the mods will keep a close watch on some of the Morata fans on this site when the season begins. There's a huge risk these users will switch sides just because of a transfer like this. I don't want any closet renties in our house.
If it wasn't for the fact that you're on a perenial windup I would actually question your sanity.

It's slightly odd that both clubs appear to have gotten their second choice.

Rooney appears to have decided the fate of both.

That sounds like complete bullshit that some people made up. It also makes zero sense as we've paid more money to agents than anyone else in the league recently.

I definitely think it has had at least some part to play in this. And we will remember. De Gea is worth at least £100m if Real are the buyers. At least.

Good signing, he should suit them better than Lukaku. Will he be a success though? At the very least, RL has shown he can score 20+ Premier League goals.

I think Chelsea were haggling with Everton whilst we were haggling with Real and Mino stepped to whisper to Ed the fee Everton would accept and Ed realising that what Madrid wanted was in Lukaku territory ran it by Jose and as they say the rest is history...

Or more accurately, we signed the player Chelsea and us wanted to sign and Chelsea signed a player we chose not to sign.

If I was coming on every week 3-0 up to Eibar I'd probably get a decent goal tally.

We're one of the richest clubs in the world, we'll get that calibre of player eventually, and if it means we can tell those Real cnuts to feck off then I'll be glad if the relations between the clubs have broken down.
Doesn't really matter, no-one can refuse to sell to Madrid really (barring Barca), its probably the only club in the world that can generally sign any player they want and players view it as the pinnacle. Moving Madrid to United is a step down, very unlikely a starter at Madrid would want to move to United.
