I just cant understand how we missed out on signing such a talented player like Draxler for peanuts in winter few months ago, now players half of his ability is being sold for numbers higher than his price.

Real Madrid selling him cheaper to Chelsea is a stategic tatic from Perez

It makes Chelsea's chance of winning the PL stronger

The more Chelsea win the league and if we dont the less income the club takes in

We lose our richest club in the world tag that Perez wants

Chelsea are no threat to them on that score until they move to a new ground and have higher income
.

Conspiracy theories are hilarious. Morata would not add much than what Costa already did.

I don't like where this window is headed to.

We've replaced our goalscorer with a promising player, who has been scoring good amount of goals throughout his last few seasons in the PL, which in this market seemed hard to pull off.
We've added cover to our sound defence, which must have been the easiest task.

However, we haven't added a player who could break down tight defences, whether that's with a killer cross or beating players with skill/dribbling. Nor we have signed defensive cover in the midfield to free up our arguably most creative midfielder of defensive duties.

If we end up with only these two signings (which honestly I doubt) our only reliance is that Mikhi, Martial, Rashford, Mata and Lingard will step up their game and double up on their goals & assists tallies.

Playing Pereira in the holding role throughout the tour may suggest Jose wants to drill him and sharpen his defensive and distribution contribution and opt for a trio of Pogba, Pereira and Herrera (whenever we use a 3 midfield formation), with the latter being the most defensive of the three, since he is sound with such responsibilities.

My guess is, we may not see a new signing until the tour is over and our next artificial deadline could be the team's arrival back at Manchester.

Not sure how much emphasis Mourinho puts on the Perisic signing, but to me we are crying for a top quality winger. I hope it gets sorted out on time for the start of the season.

I still think we'll sign two players.

Our main targets at the start of the window like griezman and fabinho are made to stay at their respective clubs so we have been unlucky in that sense.

But with the perisic deal it's just the case of inter wanting to use him as a cash asset who are struggling to buy players, not because perisic is that much important to their season.

That is one hell of a conspiracy theory.

And not in a good way either.

Maybe not, but goalscoring was not their problem, they scored goals even from the CB. Goalscoring however was our problem and Lukaku doesn't add to that, unless the others improve.

Where do you get we were in for Fabinho? Apart from in Fabinho's head.

Linked with Man Utd previously, Andrea Belotti has set his sights on a move to AC Milan this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Torino forward, who had also been linked with Chelsea, will meet with the club's owner, Urbano Cairo, to tell him he wants to leave.

I think we're having a very average, leaning towards disappointing window, still plenty of time for it to change. But I was in the have patience camp before now, but it's starting to look pretty worrying.

He has been at Chelsea since 2014 and this is going to be his fourth loan spell in a row. Absolutely bizarre.
I read on twitter and I have no idea if it's correct or not but Delac (GK) is Chelsea's longest serving player now and he hasn't played for them even once.

Edit -

I don't get how Chelsea are still being able to farm talent like that, and why nothing has been done to restrict them. It's mental and seemingly a bit pointless.

Chelsea seem rather obsessed with courting public opinion.
What they don't seem to consider when shouting so much about it is that Real being willing to sell to them for far less is because no one gives a shit about them and their horrible plastic little club.

I've never understood why UEFA/FIFA don't enforce limits on the amount of players a club can have out on loan. They've restricted the size of squads, introduced quotas for home-grown players, there are limits on the amount of players you can loan into a club, so is there any good reason why there are no limits on loans out? Allowing clubs to stockpile players and loan them out seems to be counterproductive to all the other measures, which are meant to level the playing field for all clubs.

Not sure why Chelsea have been allowed to get away with hoarding dozens and dozens of young players and loaning them all out every season.

Pogba-Verratti is probably 2/3rd's of a dream midfield stylistically.

Not happening though.

United should tell Inter to feck off now with regards to the Perisic deal. Decent player but they're having a laugh if they think Martial should be included in some way, if Perisic is worth £45m he's worth £75m+.

All clubs loan players out, but most after two or three would sell the player as they obviously aren't going to make it. Loaning on this scale is dodgy as hell.
That's what I always do in fm. Fill the reserve squad with prospects and loan them out until they get good. It's a perfect shop window system for players who aren't eventually going to make it at the club and their value will still continue to rise as their experience and form does more often than not.

Like it or hate it- it makes sense from a business perspective. They've cornered the youth market in a fairly big way along with city in the last few years because it's extremely profitable. Chelsea regularly get really good fees for their players because their youth scouting is excellent and lots of their players do well on those loans and there's still no rule against it. It doesn't make it right of course. The only really dodgy thing at the minute is they aren't really being coached in any way by Chelsea. It's by all these random clubs which probably isn't ideal for the players. The player has only really got the Chelsea scouts seal of approval if you get me?

I would imagine in the next few years there will be a lot of Chelsea and City youth that didn't quite make it playing for smaller teams in the PL with but with buy back and sell on clauses. There was another thread about this just today, minutes in the pl from academy players and united were far in the lead and that shows we must have the best academy etc. fletcher evans o shea brown etc aren't getting any younger and I think it will level out far more in the coming years one way or another. At least a lot of our graduates are British and Irish though.

From what Mourinho said today about how we're probably only signing 3 players instead of the 4 he initially wanted, it looks like we have moved from Perisic.

Window closes Sep 1st, plenty of time.
