It's very easy to say that but where is the evidence that this is an effective approach? There's lots of evidence to suggest that it wouldn't be, so there needs to be a substantial amount of evidence supporting your suggestions for them to be anything more than just things people like to say.

I haven't read anything, I just reckon I'm right. /s

Tbf this has never happened to them before - they don't know how to react.

Your gut instinct is to say - all media aside from State TV aka Fox News - should stop covering him. No more white house press corps. He lives for attention - so, the media should deny it to him.

But, you and I both know...that's never going to happen, it can't happen. Even though - that and only that would bring this administration into line - in terms of the shit they spew oh so smugly.
Aside from the commercial interests making that a non-starter, as you say, don't you think it would do significantly more harm than good? Michael Moore made the point a couple of days ago that even with non-stop coverage, there is lots of damage being done by the Trump administration that goes almost entirely unreported while people get caught up in the big, dramatic stories. Is there any reason to believe that wouldn't get a whole lot worse if people stopped covering them?

Truth like rain don't give a feck who it falls on.
The press should just cover him accurately and print accurate headlines. 'Rude president interrupts and demeans fellow Americans at press conference' 'Narcissistic president turns disaster into humble brag about himself' 'President lies about X' every time he does it. Stop pussyfooting around him.

Sorry to reply to your well thought out and evidenced post with a sentence, I'm sure you're probably right.

Can't blame you - it's an entirely natural response. I was just hoping someone could put up an argument for your view because it's a much more optimistic and appealing view of the world!

Oh cover them - don't quote them, don't give them air time and don't let them spin things. State the facts and let them go mental on Fox News about the MSM.

It's completely impractical and is never going to happen in a million years - but, we all talk about how powerful the media is...yet, here is it - being used for propaganda by the WH again and again.

Trump calls CNN fake news - yet, CNN can't wait to have a Trump acolyte on to give their point of view in a roundtable.

Ah, I see. Yeah I would love to see that. Sadly that doesn't generate audiences so isn't a sustainable business model. If only...

Just in case anyone was in any doubt where Kim was from, Trump provides the geography lesson. It's just a damn shame he didn't have a history lesson and learn that Kim has done this for years, as did his father. They just want a reaction and Trump gave it to them. I don't think he deserves any credit for that.
Like he would have really done something about it. Prat.

It really helps me cope with Trump's Twitter madness when I see that white rectangular background & round profile-pic of his face, and imagine he's tweeting from inside a tumble dryer.

Damn

Really hope stuff like this becomes a major talking point in the mainstream media. The rhetoric is important in some ways and a distraction in others. This is really serious.

After publishing its new list of grantees, DHS told Muslim Public Affairs Council that it was now prioritizing organizations that worked with law enforcement. The money that was initially set aside for community-based groups like Muslim Public Affairs Council and Life After Hate will now go to several law enforcement agencies.
This isn't an unreasonable position to take on the face of it, so I'd like to hear the administration's viewpoint on it in more detail. People like Gorka are detestable and obviously have ulterior motives, but still...I think it's something that's actually useful for the public to hear about.

An 8th person has quit the manufacturing council. How many people are left now?

For the average American? Very little.

For trump? These are the successful people he has spent his life trying to get in with, and they have all turned their backs on him publicly.

He will be fuming, his ego will have taken a real battering.

If you are interested and have a spare 30 mins it's well worth a google. He used to phone up News Channels pretending to be his own publicist and some of them are hilarious. Well they are all hilarious because he genuinely believes nobody knows it was him on the phone. Even before he was President or even on The Apprentice he was still well known and had one of the most recognisable voices in the world.

After listening just remind yourself he was voted President.
What? where can I hear such a thing?
