Now Liverpool have to move Coutinho out wide so that takes away their creativity from the middle, he can put in a cross but he doesn't get to the byline very well nor does he have anybody to pick out in their forward line.
Then the problem of Liverpools fullback being unable to overlap..All Coutinho will do is cut in and shoot. Over and over again.
I think we could see double digits here with few troubling DDG

Have United went behind in any game since the Super Cup?

It'll be interesting to see the reaction of the players if Liverpool manage to take the lead in the first half.

We should win this game. Mane out and their front 3 travel back from the other side of the world this week so they should be jet lagged.

So you know what will happen they will scrap a 1-0 win, Klopp will berate the 4th official all afternoon and get away with it. Jose will say one thing about a contentious decision and get sent to the stands. Heard it here first.

Either that or it'll be a 2 or 3 goal early rout until we get into it then take the game at the usual pace rendering it massively frustrating.

In all seriousness though, I'm fairly positive about it. I'm just not sure how certain I am about that positivity.

I hate the game, I despise the build up and the closer it gets, the more irritable I become. It's a game that winds me up like no other and I cant wait to get the game over with.

This. Worst game of the season for the simple reason theres a risk of having to listen to them for weeks if they win. Dont mind the game at OT but this one i hate. Even contemplated today doing something with the kids on Saturday so i wouldnt have to endure it...then i caught myself on.

I am engaged (again!) and my fiancee wanted to meet up on Saturday. I told her to feck off (something like that in polite words).:D
It's mine and my siblings birthday, same day not triplets. The missus has gone to book away somewhere 'nice' without no TV. :(

Only a few days to go and getting very excited, after such a long delay.

Team selection very difficult to predict: given Liverpools press and speed and our midfield injury issues, I'd play 5 at the back and then have speed and strengh on the wings to hit Liverpool on the counter.

My dream team for this game. You think both Rash and Martial to start ? Same prediction except Mkhi for Martial. Not surprised to see both Rash Martial though.

I agree. Both Rashford and Martial won't start.

While the 3-4-3 looks good, I still think Mourinho will do the 4-2-3-1 as per norm.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Jones Young
    Herrera Matic
    Mata Mkhitaryan Rashford
    Lukaku

    Subs: Martial, Lingard and Carrick

Rashford to start and run the feckers down then Martial to come on and terrorise them further.

Couple of days to go. Are people excited or nervous, or both?

Nervous. I'm always nervous about this one, always pretty relaxed about their OT visit.

I'm on nightshift on Fri, Sat and Sun so not really sure how to approach this. What I think I'll opt for is coming home at 8:30am, going to bed, have my alarm wake me at 1:30pm, I'll tentatively look at my phone for the BBC updates of goals and if it's looking good for us then I'll watch the 2nd half.

You will be an hour late, the match kicks off at half 12.

Ignore that I'm on night shifts myself and misread your post.

So are we hoping for a last minute winner or a comfortable 4-0 win?

Dunno why, but I think we will play with 3 center backs at this game.
Yeah me too, although I'm not sure if that extra CB will be an extra man in defense (3-5-2) or in midfield partnering Matic and man-marking Coutinho. I guess a little of both depending on phase of play.

Then again, Herrera can man-mark Coutinho too. In that case, Mata will play more in the middle for creativity and pressing, while Mkhitaryan should operate in the right channel to exploit Moreno.
