Somewhere they can't find me.
We create nothing. Zero urgency combined with individual error. Poor football throughout, devoid of basics like passing with composure. Not even a fight from 90% of them. Deserved loss.
Wasn't lack of urgency what cost us today. It's lack of composure. Too many stray passes, wrong decisions, and Rashford taking the wrong option and passing to Mkhi who was offside rather than Lukaku.

Also, be should have brought on Blind to play CB... Giving a Prem debut to a CB away from home in that sort of game is stupid.

You could have chosen any other players than Sylvestre tbh, he was decent for United for a while.
Silvestre used to give me heart attacks when I saw his name on the team sheet. His positioning was frightening...

...and yet it looks a cut above Lindelof's.

The only thing Lindelof seems to do well is pass in space. Sadly that's not essential to being a good defender. He's like the Swedish John Stones (and even less suited to English football.)

Deserved loss. Showed almost no ambition all game. Even when dominating the ball we seemed to want to play through 10 men, rather than get it wide and get crosses in. Forget shooting from over six yards too. Nobody was interested in that.

Yes, we should have had a penalty. We should also be beating Huddersfield though.

PS) Tuanzebe should always be ahead of Lindelof. Lindelof just isn't up to this league.
We will do well to finish in top 4 . Too many players of very very limited standard . Why are we keeping players like Shaw at the club while playing someone like Young at left back , get both out and get a left back , any left back . Lingard is brainless and is not even squad material , Mata should go to China or somewhere else they play at a snails pace ,Jones is either a professional footballer or a glass statue , if he cant stay fit get him out . As for Lindelof is he seeing Joses daughter or something because i can see no other reason to have bought him . We have been getting very good results but we would do well to remember who we have played , nobodys.

This is what freaking happens when you take an in form team and make them play for 0-0 at Anfield. Everything gone after that.

Bad coaching and not nearly enough performances from the likes of Lindelof, Herrera, Smalling, Mkhi et al.
Yeah the reason we made two defensive howlers to Huddersfield is because Jose focused on the defence at Liverpool lol.

I refused to vote for a 'Man of the Match' from United. No one deserved it.

Disgusting performance.

We've completely lost momentum since the Liverpool game. That's on the manager.

It's going to be difficult to work around it, because the injuries are mounting up and now we have players devoid of form and confidence.

Lindelof looks rank as well.

No excuses, Huddersfield deserved the win. Two individual errors cost us the game.

People posting like we've never lost to newly promoted sides like Wolves, Norwich, Derby or Leicester before.

We're clearly far inferior than Man City. Wrong decision to have Mourinho here instead of Pep.

I just hope we have enough in this team to muster a fight for top 4.
We aren't that far off city and Jose is still the man for us, listen to yourself ... Keep it together man

We obviously got carried away by some good scorelines earlier in the season. We thought (me included obviously) that the team was actually better than it is. It is better than what it showed today obviously but will it win the league ? Nah. 2nd or 3rd will be progress I suppose.

Why does every new player have to be compared to the ones that worked out? There have been far more that didn't work out. People always say but De Gea, but Evra, but never but Kleberson, Bellion, Miller, Obertan, Bebe etc.

At the moment Lindelof looks less fit for the Premier League than the lovechild of Mikael Silvestre and William Prunier!
Because there are too many examples in Vidic, Evra etc.
He had a terrible game but saying lets get rid of him on the basis of his first season and a few games is hilarious.

It turns out that our attacking midfielders have all gone missing. Mata and Mkhitaryan have been so bad lately and the service to Lukaku has been non-existent. Also Young and Valencia can't cross the ball. I'm baffled as to why Mou opted to stay with the current full backs given the lack of quality in the certain areas. I can understand that Valencia's immense physicality can make up for the poor technical ability but if he isn't going to give Shaw a chance then he should really buy someone in the summer. I dob't think anyone will be available in the January window but looking at our current state we just don't look like a balanced team.

p.s I wasn't expecting us to win the title, City always looked like the better squad. However I do not expect us to be unable to create chances

Why is Valencia captain? When Martial got into trouble early on, Valencia was nowhere to be seen, either talking with the officials or going over and calming / helping Martial out. Does he still not speak English? Honestly, I like Valencia a lot, but if he cannot represent the players on the pitch, he shouldn't be captain.
There's something in that. I love Tony V, but this needs to be looked at.

A couple of games ago it was all "We haven't played anyone good yet" - what now?

It should be the bonus in a defender indeed, not his best attribute.

Ofcourse there was. We dilly dallied until our Swedish chocolate decided to gift wrap a 2nd goal, even after that our midfield and attacking third’s tempo until the very end was pretty poor. It was one of the many problems.

Today shows how far we still have to go. I said it before but my hope this season is for us to compete with City, if we finish in the top 3, have a good run in the UCL and win a cup i'd consider it a good season. People told me thats rediculous, that we should be aiming to win everything but today shows how far we still have to go. We've made good progress since Jose came but we're still 3-4 players away from winning anything.

Mata and Herrera are the darlings of United but the fact is neither are good enough. Herrera has no real quality except to get about the pitch, not to dissimilar to Fletcher. I feel for Mata because he isnt a winger but hes not even our best number 10. When you're trailing behind the likes of Fellaini and Miki for your preferred spot its time to call it a day. Young is a good make shift LB but we really need someone who can play that position as he does a job there but isnt great.

The squads made some good progress but we are missing 2 attacking players (ala Sanchez and Guizman) and 2 fall backs. I dont share everyones doom and gloom but today was a bit of a wake up call to how far we still have to go.
I think missing out on Griezmann and Perisic is the difference. Perisic is a phenomenal winger who really puts in great crosses. We have NO ONE putting in great crosses at the moment. We have the ability to play different ways but we simply don't have the quality or depth the overtake City this year. Losing games like this is proof of that.

Obviously giving away comedy goals doesn't help but our attacking options are nowhere near where they should be for a club of United's resources. After that display, I am tempted to revise my opinion on Özil. Mata is nowhere near good enough and after 4 years needs binning to join Berbatov in the most underwhelming major signing of the last 10 years category. Mkhitaryan is also not United material. Most seriously though, why have we fallen apart without Pogba?

I think we're going to be alright but that is a poor result.

Not sure this was ever a Title season anyway.

Only Lindelöf was worse than Lee Mason. Pathetic display by us though, and cowardice tactics by Mourinho — if you're losing 2:0 at half time, drop a defender, ffs.

For a Spanish player Herrera sure takes too much time on the ball.
I like him but he's been in a disastrous form.

These are the sort of days I'd love to have a manager like Klopp. Fecking squad full of big time Charlie's.

I really do question the intelligence of our players. Waiting unnecessarily long to play simple through balls, fouling their players when they're facing their own goal and have nowhere to go, getting into good crossing positions only to pass it back, nobody hanging back a few yards to anticipate a knockdown...unbelievable.

I would also like to know how at this club, one with seemingly unlimited resources, why nobody can cross a ball?

Two errors cost us.

That said, apart from the goal, we created nothing. We simply cannot rely on just Pogba for creativity, or being a bit more direct with Fellaini. We need more from our three behind the striker.

Not a knee jerk, but I think we need to be looking at a creative attacking midfielder. Someone who can run a game.

Having said that, we need someone strong mentally too. Someone who demands the ball when things arent going so well like today.

We saw with the goal that Rom had to force the issue, which we benifited greated from. We needed more of that from our players, but just didnt get it.

Dont want to be too harsh, because that is our first loss of the season. A shame it came from an unlikely source, but we'll just have to brush ourselves off and get on with it.

Will be a tough game against Spurs next week. Need to respond.

I couldn't get my head around how many touches we needed in midfield to do nothing with the ball. The ball would be rolled into a player, any player - they were all at this, and they'd control it, look at a man 10 yards away, take another touch, look at him again, eye him right up and down now, take another touch, and then pass it to him. And then watch him do the same thing.

Pedestrian, boring shite. Take a fecking touch and move the ball, and zip it into someone.

Honestly think we have a serious collection of stupid people playing for us these days.

I don't think we've ever had any chance of going with Guardiola. I don't believe he ever wanted the job, knowing the amount of dross he had to replace.

We have to reassess our targets and fight hard for a top 4 finish. We aren't winning the title with such performances from our players.

Unfortunate defensive errors for their 2 goals but 78% possession with 3 shots on target is bit of a shite performance against a bottom of the table team.

Lingard is a complete fraud. Herrera looks like he has no confidence to make one forward pass. Mkhitaryan and Mata have been poor. Young and Valencia should probably retire. Lindelof should improve massively.

Pathetic display by our players. Can't get worse than this. Can it?
