Wilder looks shocking. He swings like a street fighter. He's got a huge right hand but his boxing skills are lacking.

Joshua beats him on points if he's clever. The danger is that Wilder gets him with a straight right like the one he planted last night - it's similar to the one Klitschko landed to knock him down. If Joshua doesn't move his head (probably his biggest flaw) he's always giving Wilder an opportunity.
It’s not like Joshua is a weak puncher either and Wilder is so poor I’d imagine there is a great chance Joshua would stop him in Under 3. It’s not like Wilder hasn’t been put down, or hurt. Can’t see a fight between those two going the distance.

@Carl yeah was just speaking to my mate about it who is more in to boxing than I and he said the same but then confirmed the he now looks like a bum. Supposedly hasn’t fought in 2 years because honestly watching that I’m surprised either of those guys are talked about as top level boxers. It was dreadful.

Wilder vs Parker Joshua fight someone in the mean time then the two of them in a big money fight in Vegas. Because right now I’m not sure that fight would sell as much as it could do. If Joshua was to fight Fury and win, Wilder fights Parker and wins then it’s something special.

You a Wilder fan Carl?

Yeah Wilder isn't up to much. Joshua is much the better boxer. Wilder's combos are so, so predictable I doubt Joshuas lack of head movement will be too much of a problem. He'd stop it inside three I reckon.

Wilder wouldn’t beat either Fury or Joshua.

He starts throwing the windmills against Joshua and is arse will be knocked out.

I think Fury at his best beats Joshua but I'm very doubtful he'd be at his best and fully focussed.

A few months ago he was posting workout videos everyday and talking a lot. Since the. He put on 2 more stone and then lost that. He's got another 7 or 8 stone to lose, on top of the 2 he's already lost. All that, coupled with being out of the ring for over 2 years when the fight does come around, and the fact he just doesn't seem to have the motivation for it now, I can't see him being at his best.

Wilder just gets the punchers chance against Joshua, which against someone who doesn't move his head enough, is a very decent chance. Joshua would need to be careful of his size. Hear said that when Joshua heard Wilder's weight for this fight he said he'd "eat him." But he can't be too big.

Didn't he take the fight on short notice, too? Wilder was originally scheduled to fight Ortiz?
Yeah he was. I think Ortiz failed a drug test but that would have been an intresting fight. I think Ortiz was also the next mandatory for Joshua.

Would like to see Wilder knock Joshua clean out.

He might not be the best boxer (Joshua is not a great boxer either fwiw) but his right hand can clean anyone out.
Forget Whyte, Parker or anyone else, only Wilder, Joshua and Fury (if he can get himself together) are serious contenders.

You see Joshua going the distance with a puncher like Wilder? No way.

Well, I've not actually seen Wilder go deep into a fight so maybe he fatigues as badly as Joshua does.

Joshua has shown that against White and Kiltch he's pretty vulnerable.
He was about to go the distance with Wlad before recovering brilliantly to knock him out so why not? Wlad is incredibly well conditioned, too, moreso than Wilder from a durability point of view. He's also a much more skilled operator than Wilder will ever be.

So, if Joshua can last 11 rounds with Wlad then knock him out, I think he's more than capable of beating Wilder on points by virtue of keeping his head out of range.

In comparison though Joshua is Sugar Ray Leonard when compared to Wilder.

Ok hyperbole but seriously Wilder is shocking. Chin up, off balance, slapping shots I think he would struggle against your likes of a Bellew or Whyte and get sparked by Haye.
I think for the Heaveyweight División he needs to stay away from Joshua because if Joshua sparks him in Under 3 then the division loses a lot of the spotlight on it.

Best fight I’ve seen Wilder in is that video where he beats up that internet troll.

He would walk through Bellow, would easily beat Whyte and as I cant see Haye getting back to anywhere near where he was I don't see him as a threat.
Haye is the best boxer out of them all but I always felt he was too small to be a proper heavyweight.

I know it’s sparring but I’m sure there is a video of David Haye absolutely schooling him. I’ll go have a look.

I honestly can’t say I’ve ever been impressed with Wilder, I just don’t think he is all that good and do honestly think the only chance he has would be a punchers chance but he’s so rubbish I don’t even see him getting the chance to land a clean shot.

Wilder would destroy AJ Bruno and I would never want to see Fury fight anyone again with that horrible spoiling style he has.

Wilder is a creation I feel. He has major power, but he has terrible technique. Just awful and he's had success mainly due to such a poor handpicked pool of opponents and at Heavyweight you can get away with his lack of skills more than say, Welterweight. That exact skill set and talent level on a middleweight and he wouldn't be in the top 10.

He brings a punchers chance to most fights, but a decent to good heavyeweight should be able to keep their composure and have too many skills and land first on him. I think Joshua wrecks him inside a few rounds.

Parker has put his head above the water level and is having a look. I guess if you’re Parker and Wilder the money is in fighting Joshua. Too much risk to fight each other as it wouldn’t probably sell all that well and then whoever loses well they foooked.
They should fight then that winner takes on AJ. Sky reporting talks are on going with Parker.

I think it's his wild technique that gives him half a chance. He's not bad on his feet either and Takam showed how Joshua can struggle to time a mover.

I think Takam has much more fundamental technique, smarts and defensive ability than Wilder. Wilder to me is a Heavyweight Mayorga but without his ability to absorb punches. Unorthodox wild swinging guys with power than can give them a decent chance to win certain fights but will be gobbled up by the elite. Luckily for Wilder the Heavyweight landscape is poor and a punchers chance goes further but I'd fully expect Joshua to win inside 2-3 rounds against him.

There is no elite, it's an utterly shite division.

AJ is the standout but he's not without flaws.
I think there's something to AJ but he obviously must improve his stamina and head movement. I still view him as largely a work in progress and that's why I'm more than happy to see him have fights go like the Takam one as he's still learning his craft. His chin will always be a question mark though his heart isn't but with better head movement he will be less vulnerable.

The only fight I can see AJ losing, is to Tyson Fury on points. AJ needs to improve his head movements as said above, he gets caught way too often.

I’ve noticed quite a few people mention his head movement recently, what’s this all about? I mean it’s not perfect but from the way people have been mentioning it, it’s like a major problem. Is it just because he was tagged by Klitchko? Only other person I really remeber giving him any issue is Whyte and he said himself he threw the game plan out the window and Just brawled.

It’s Just I’d seen people mention it and I watched the Takam fight today expecting AJ got lit up or something. There were like 2 0r 3 medium shots that hit him and for the most part it was all blocked/ taken on the gloves or actually something I’d not seen from AJ before but he does a good job of rolling with the punch so he’s never really getting hit clean.

I mean people mention his chin but it was Wladimir Klitchko that knocked him down and it certainly wasn’t the same Klitchko that fought Fury that looked disinterested. It was probably the best Klitchko I recall seeing in many years.
I mean I’ve heard rumours Yarde put him down in a spar but that’s rumours and that’s sparring and it’s the heavyweight division. One tiny mistake and it’s lightsout.

There's also footage as an amateur of him being dropped and stopped. He's also confirmed some gym tales like David Price dropping him as an amateur. Not the worst thing in the world.

I expect boxers to be hit but to me his head is a little stationary and when opponents have opened up (it's been rare) they have found their way to him. I think he tends to put his shot out there and not move his head for a counter. It's not really been exposed yet but it is a fundamental mistake that's been seen in a few bouts. He will work on it I am sure.

I just thought he looked a bit flat against Takam and struggled to time his shots when he was showed the slightest bit of movement.

He's the best of the bunch for me and he's possibly the only one with the potential to improve but i'm still not completely sold on him. There's no logical reason for me to think like that, i think i've just not bought into the whole 'stay humble' bulls*t and the forced nice guy image rather than not rating his ability.

I'm not really into heavyweights to be honest - their skillset is inferior to some of the lighter weights and half of them can't even be arsed turning up in shape.

I feel the same way about the Heavyweight division and have done for around 15 years. I like Joshua though. I want him to be great.

Joseph Parker just called out Anthony Joshua on Twitter:

It's going to be an interesting fight for sure. Parker's strong and won't be sparked out easily. I suspect he can exploit Joshua's chin here. Let's see though... AJ is no joke and he is still the man to beat IMO.

Parker is pretty shite and I imagine AJ beats him easily. He'd lose to any of the higher level heavyweights. Can't blame him for wanting the AJ fight cos it will be his biggest payday.

I'd imagine Hearn would probably not mind that fight first, he beats Parker easily and then fights Wilder in the bigger fight and maybe fightS Fury down the line, still don't think Fury fights again personally though.

Parker is shite, only reason him and Wilder are bothing calling AJ out now is because it's the money fight. If they fought eachother first then the loser probably loses their chance with AJ any time soon.

Dig up stupid!
makes sense for AJ to take parkers belt prior to the wilder fight, it sets up a bigger unification.
wildler could do with a bigger name to set it up too, someone like bellew should be a pretty risk-free bout he can add to his CV which will grow his name over here a bit.
it's a shame pulev and ortiz put themselves out of the equation as they're the interesting fights for AJ & wilder and it would've been nice to see both face either prior to their match.

I'll believe Fury is back when he's physically in the ring,I highly doubt he'll make a return tbh

AJ needs to lose a bit of muscle mass, it's unncessary to be that big, he needs to slim down as it's affecting his stamina and he looked sluggish against Takam. Takam is a game fighter but he should have got him out of there well before the stoppage.

Some brilliant fights coming in Dec, Rigo v Lomachenko should be quality to watch, two boxing purists. I hope Rigo is not past it, he seems to have lost motivation, missed fights, fighting in Japan and getting dropped 2/3 times considering how good he is defensively was very poor by him.

Lomachenko looks like the best boxer around at the moment, he is taking on good/quality fighters too and he's beating them convincingly. Walters made Donaire look ordinary yet Lomachenko forced him to quit.

I was watching Dylan Whyte on toe to toe last night and he was talking about Wilder saying he can offer Wilder 5x as much money as he is making for his fights. Apparently Wilder is getting like a mil a fight. For a heavy weight title holder in boxing that seems like nothing. That’s like UFC money. Anyway apparently Whyte can offer him 4-5mil pay day so I wonder what AJ is worth to him. Shows you what AJ means as well by he needs to step up his game as in start bringing people in with viewing numbers and so on

Nar, if you survive that kind of Klitjko punch in a heavyweight bout and win, you really should stop having your chin questioned.
