Fecking depressing.
Aye but I don’t expect Mourinho to sit down and watch this Pep team without a fight. It will galvanise him. There’s no way he’s going to let everything fall to pieces here after his recent reputation hit at Chelsea. We’ve just got to hope Woodward and the Glazers are prepared to back him all the way.

That's a concern that isn't lost on me. Even worse for me is the worry that he hasn't targeted or signed a single attacker his successor might find useful. Are we supposed to start another rebuild in 3-4 years?
I suppose it depends on the successor.

Is it? We can counter like that, just in a different way. We win the ball and then counter, whereas City play the ball from the back and use the opposition's pressing against them.

Regardless of his successor, Ibra, Mkhi, (Ozil, Perisic and Bale) type signings would have been leaving their prime when the next person comes in and need replacement

I hate city but can’t help but admire their game. They are fecking brilliant isn’t it? I don’t think the league has seen a team like this since years.

There is no catching them this season. Sadly.

Think we've got to accept this league is gone.

Tbh I have zero respect for the way City have got their success. With their lottery win, it's like a drug-taking athlete winning the 100 metres on a motorbike. Sure I'm not alone in thinking this.

That said, hopefully it'll act as a spur for the rest of the league to improve. United have to nail their transfer targets this summer and get the players we need. And we can't afford to park the bus anymore, which must be a good thing.

We could have the best players but we'll still play the same shit since of who we have as our manager.

Sadly, the one person I would have wanted to replace him now coaches City.

Loathe them with an undying passion that simply cannot be sated.

Just feck off City.
I don't hate them, just find it impossible to respect what they've done.

They were a byword for shambolic mis-management and they won the lottery, first with getting a free stadium and then with a foreign owner swooping down and giving them unlimited money. And I'm sure the Emiratis picked them because of their proximity to United!

That said, growing up in Manchester I've got a lot of mates who are City fans and they are realistic about how they got their success. They don't tend to rub it in - although I'm sure there are other City fans who do - and I don't begrudge them this amazing team.

How are they so fit?
The fog in the stadium isn't really fog. It's a secret concoction in an aerosol form, created by Pep's secret medical staff that works only on City's players because they injected themselves beforehand with a drug(passes undetected in drug screenings) that activates the drug cocktail present in the fog.
Am I doing this right?

He won't be there long mate. If he only stayed five years at his home club, one of the biggest in the world, don't think he'll stay any longer at City.

We need to worry about the here and now, not a successor that could be seen in 1 year or 5 years.

Jose is signing players who should be able to help him now.

Regardless, Bailly, Pogba and Lindelof all have their best years ahead of them. Our attack was needed reinvigorating now, and he has signed/targetted players in their prime. Okay Mikhi hasn't worked out

Also, you've conveniently left Lukaku out of your list because he didn't fit your argument.

I kinda prefer watching City to United this season. They're just too good.

I won't begrudge them their title this season. They play football the way it should be played. It's a pleasure to watch.

Jose's best bet is to drive him insane and make him want another year out of football

I think at one point Qatar is going to give him a billion to manage PSG. Only half joking too.

If their form continues, this could be one of the best squads ever in our league. It's so incredible that Pep has managed to fix everything that was wrong with City in such a short period of time.

To be fair if we're successful you could say we've bought titles as well. Spent huge the last couple of years (without gaining from it, really).

Yeah but at least we're spending our own money. The Glazers' commercialism may be crass at times (Mr Potato springs to mind) but at least we're not being given the money by a sugardaddy.

The bitterness is so amusing to read as someone who's learning not to take anything serious anymore

But all this talk of legacy, and "best squad ever", some of you do remember they haven't even dominated for a full season yet, right?
