The one that popped in my mind first was the lemon and lime one, from the 90s I think?

Nearly as bad as Liverpools horrible green and white one.

today's is right up there for me

I didn't like this --> boiled sweets you buy in quarters out of the big jar - effort much

Can you imagine us releasing kits like this now?

And I used to love those last 2.
I had these during the 90s. Jesus I loved them. I was decent too until I discovered guitar and fast women.

I had every single one of those growing up. The iconic green/blue one with triangles was my first, and i have a signed one framed on my wall!

I was having a look through the different versions there to check the years if the ones I didn't like.

Has there ever been a Home/Away combo as good as the 1994-96 set?

Absolutely completely fecking bad ass. 90s Umbro kits. Great times.

Even this one?
I'd put that blue kit up there with the 94/96 black one. Pity the team didn't win anything significant in that blue kit. But the win away at Arsenal in the 2009 CL semi was a great match with the blue kit.

The grey one from this year is our worst ever. Doesn’t look bad in person when you’re wearing it with jeans but on the players, it looks fecking awful.

I genuinely have no memory of United wearing this kit in any match! Was it a Coca Cola cup game or something?
I think that shot's from the Arsenal-United game when Barthez managed to nutmeg himself.

All the 90s kits are  The early 00s Nike not so much - Found them a bit generic looking

I think we'll have more uninspiring displays like yesterday in the current grey kit, being as it is uninspiring and grey.

The 1992-94 "Newton Heath" third shirt? Most regard that as a classic.
That'll be the one, in my minds eye I can see Gary Pallister in it of all people. Was just God awful seeing it in the flesh, but it was the 90s and everyone was wandering around in neon pinks, greens, yellows and that funny purple colour you only saw on Campri jackets.

I really didn't like the blue away shirt last year. Don't think many agree with me on this but I really did hate that shirt.

They 96-98 jerseys were pretty naff, this monstrosity is a hidden..... er monstrosity.

I once knew a guy who worked at the Umbro factory and he managed to steal one of these shirts for me months before it's release. I remember walking into school for our usual Saturday football matches and everyone looking at me in amazement asking me where I got it.

Felt like a celeb.

That green/yellow/black gk shirt is a blast from the past. Loved wearing that.

Do they still put padding in gk shirts these days?

It has to be the Grey one from 95/96. It cost me 50 quid and was dumped after 45 minutes. I didn't even get a pound per minute out of it.

I was sitting here during the first half thinking to myself 'how could I make this kit look better?'

First, completely remove the graphic. No grown man should have a graphic on his shirt.

Second, change the cuffs and collar from that darker gray to either white or black.

Third, pair it with black shorts and black socks.

Fourth, make the United badge its proper colors.

And it might look halfway decent.

Post your least fav United kits.

Was between this and the current grey one for me, decided for this.

This was my first United Shirt.

Interestingly it was 2 shirts in one, If you turned the shirt inside out it would become the white away kit and if you turned that inside out it would become this gold kit the 3rd strip.

umbro sewed two shirts together basically

I hated this one: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_kht6EFthBI/U8fZR3SRYiI/AAAAAAAABbk/fbsGSnCpk3o/s1600/Man Utd-1999-ucl.jpg

Not just because releasing an alternative red strip just for CL games was a rip-off; but they also made the neck hole way too small in relation to the shirt size so it was a nightmare trying to get the bloody thing on.

Didn't do too badly in it though...
They wore it for three seasons (including continental matches) didn't they?

Hardly a rip-off.

I adored almost every aspect of that kit, especially that silver shield around the crest. Plus we wore it for three European campaigns so it had longer legs than almost every modern design in memory.
