Today it's reported on the front page of CdS.

Always linked with big Serie A teams and IIRC he was heavily linked with Juventus move when we signed him, then he was Torino player so there was near 0 chance they would sell him to Juve.

Wouldn't mind him leaving as he isn't playing regularly and when he did, he wasn't that good.

Where are they going to play him? De Sciglio has been good for them.

like Mkhitaryan, if we can use Darmian as part of a swap deal or a sweetener for a player we want this would be beneficial

his market value must be about 8 million

Preparation in case Alex Sandro is leaving this summer.

Also, good cover, he would have a lot more playing times there than being 3rd/4th choice here.
He'd be a massive downgrade from Sandro, probably looking at him as a squad option for both flanks as you said.

Yeah, Serie A will probably suit Darmian better as well. Didn't do too well here, but at least he seems like a good pro/guy. Will wish him luck when he leaves.

Unbelievable how poor he’s been here.

It's not even thread worthy. I had almost forgotten that he played for us.

Can we come to some sort of pre agreement for Sandro then by any chance?

Quick, get it agreed and binding for Juve ASAP. 15M will do, thanks.

Agree, unless Juve is planning to get other spectacular LB in the market, is there even one realistically available and interested in them this summer? WC will give a player, possibly. Assuming Sandro is leaving, if not Darmian is still a useful solid player to have.

Italian football's pace will suit Darmian better. He's not really a bad player, follow instructions to the tee, and can actually be a threat or at least useful with his movements in attacks. What system is Juventus using? Darmian can play as FB/SB either side and WB either side, while covering CB, so having him is useful for tactical variance/formation. Can see him becoming a solid player for Juve, not spectacular but can do the job just fine.

Will be a good move for United hopefully we get a few quid for him but at this stage even giving him away for free would be a good deal for the club.

The worst fullback (if you can call him that) i've seen in almost 30 years of watching United and arguably the worst player signed for a decent bit of money.

Buttner stopped Robben scoring and he scored/assisted a few goals himself in his time here, I genuinely would take him over Darmian.

He was actually shocking for us. But I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to Juve and becomes an absolute worldie

Darmian on the front page? Must be a really slow news day

Be glad to get rid tbh, he wasn't bad last season but been atrocious this and it's surprising he didn't go in January
