If Mourinho doesn't make drastic changes immediately for the second half, I give up.

He cannot seriously think "Okay, lets keep doing what we're doing. We'll break them down." He can't.

How Jose lost the dressing room? This is just bizarre. We look so awful I can’t believe it. Jose teams may be “boring” but they’re usually well drilled, organised, and efficient. They look like strangers out there, what on earth is going on?
Well, It certainly looks like it. Not one leader of any sort in the team. Pogba like a drugged up headless chicken.

It seems the Team has gone to pieces since we signed Sanchez, don’t know why but this is not good at all,I still expect us to win though

I really don’t think these players are intelligent enough. After watching Liverpool leapfrog us into 2nd, I was expecting the team come here and totally outclass Palace.

The boys came here with their insipid zombie passing. They couldn’t even control any pass. I thought it was the pitch but when Palace had the ball, they were very sleek & intricate with it.

Our football is a joke...we started well this season, I don’t know where the initial swagger we had went to. Something is broken in this team especially away from home!

A lot of talk that Jose has given up on the league and will focus on the cups, not caring whether he finishes 2nd or 4th.

Now - that is pragmatic and it does make some sense.

But how acceptable is it, in terms of principles, for Manchester United to jack in the league two seasons running months before the final league game?
But winning this game improves the chances of finishing top 4...

We do this every time, we turn up expecting to win, and seem shocked when the relegation threatened team gets in our faces, and it takes us ages to get into the game, by which time we're 1-0 down...

By this point, we're just slinging it long to Lukaku...

How I long for the days of Kanchelskis or Giggs charging down the wing, Ole, Van Nistleroy, Cole nipping them into the net, Robson, Keane and Eric boxing the midfield. Scholes passing the ball around like a chess master.

What we have now are world-class players performing like Sunday league footballers who have had a pint too many.

Pogba is not serious enough. I think it’s a mentality thing, honestly do.
It’s rare I’ll say this about a player but he has been an absolute disgrace and Sanchez has been just as bad. They both need to bloody well sort themselves out. Pogba looks like he couldn’t give a toss, what’s anyone supposed to do when your midfielder is constantly giving stupid passes like that?

I couldn’t make the game today and I rarely post on here these days but this first half has been disgusting. If they don’t want to play, do us all a favour and don’t bother. There is no fecking excuse for showing such a little amount of enthusiasm when playing for this football club.

There’s just no movement at all, everyone fixed into their positions and once every couple of minutes Pogba will pop up in a random, uneffective position and give the ball away.

CP started pressing right from the off while we sat back.
    Why?
Feck alone knows, Jose’s tactics. I like many were so glad to see the end of LvG, but I am getting to the stage that I can’t wait to see the day Jose leaves.

Second in the league and we are playing like relegation fodder. Stoke play better football than our Primadonnas.

    What is Mourinho doing?

This is every week now. Van Gaal football without the possession.

I'd be interested in seeing our shots on goal/chances created numbers for the past couple of months. We're relentlessly abysmal at the moment.
With Van Gaal we rarely got dominated. With Jose every away game regardless of the opposition we get outplayed.
We need players to atleast stay in their positions. Lingard, pogba and Sanchez are all over the place. When a world-class player like Sanchez looks clueless I don't know what can be done and it's painfully clear Jose doesn't know either.

I can't blame Sanchez and Pogba that much. Because we have the lead, and the two behind them have the attacking prowess of parked bus, they're double and triple-teamed constantly. There's simply no reason to play this way against a depleted Palace squad.

I know McTominay's been all over the news this week, but there's no way he should be in there if this is what he's going to offer going forwards. We have a midfielder dedicated to defending, we don't need two.

The whole philosophy away from home against any team be they poor or not, is not to dominate like pep or klopp or poch. It is to keep the defence airtight and win 1-0. That then goes out the window when they score a goal, whether it is flukey or not.

At home against the poorer teams it is easy to watch us, but I never enjoy watching us away from home.

Of course when you come up against a good team away from home, the philosophy reaps dividends. But it is torture against teams that City or Liverpool would put three or four past no bother.

I am always saying it in the pre match thread, that this will be tough, because every match we play away from home is a struggle. It has been since Mourinho came. I am not asking for him to be sacked or anything.

Is anyone actually honest enough to admit Pogba really isn't all that good yet? Or does he need another season to find his feet seeing as two clearly isn't enough.

United will come back and win it though, I say that knowing they always do. Can't wait to play you at OT though, you're gonna need to step up or it might get embarrassing with Salah and Mane running at that load of statues. De Gea has to be human eventually

No fecking changes and smalling penalty incident being played, he will cost us in a big game.

That's arguably our worst half of the season that. Nothing about it was good enough and no outfield player was at an acceptable level.

There was a time when I'd still be confident that we'd come out strong and turn it around but I doubt we will these days.
Considering the side Palace have put out it has to be. They are shite and we've managed to out-shite them by quite a fair margin.

We haven't created a single decent chance. The worst thing is it isn't a shock.

It's unfathomable that we're this bad under Mourinho after almost two seasons. We are a very very bad 'Mourinho' team.

We may be a goal down, but the negativity seems a tad excessive.

The passing in general has been sloppy, but Mourinho's plan seems fine. If only we could utilize our width a tad more and find Young/Valencia when they make runs, we would be having many more chances. However, our thrust from midfield, specifically Pogba, has been non-existent. Lingard and Sanchez have been needing to drop central and deep too many times to pose a threat up the pitch. If Pogba wakes up and imposes himself on the game, we'll get our chances. He's also been at fault for the goal, along with our central defenders who have been atrocious today.

I am concerned about why Bailly doesn't start. Neither Smalling nor Lindelof seem to be dealing particularly well, either in the air, in physical battles, in interceptions or passing out from the back. Very very shaky. I think we'll improve in the second half, but it won't be enough if our defence fecks up. Jose needs to fix our CBs first in the summer.
Why does he need to fix the defence first in the summer, when from this game and other tens of games this season shows the main problems in controlling the game and disjointed attack?

We were poor way before we signed Sanchez. And I doubt we'll win. We hardly create chances or dominate the game

You are entitled to your opinion of course, and if you are happy with what you've seen then fair enough.

But for me, it seems your expectations might be a tad too low. We should be playing much, much better again this relegation fodder.
We should be playing better but people are making it seem like we are being played off the park when we arent at all. They arent dominating us they just got a deflected goal. We could easily win this game if we tighten up a bit. People are talking like the game is lost and being way to harsh on our players. Im not happy with how the team played but im just tired of the kneejerk negativity every single game.

Yep, Martial was in great form on the left. We needed a right mid really badly. Christ sake I would've taken a cheaper risk on Barella for centre midfield all things considered. Mahrez and Barella potentially could've relieved some of our problems but we only seem to add to them. Now we have a 'star' player who loves playing from the left when we already had a younger guy cementing his place there.

P.S just to add there is no blame to Lukaku who has done well feeding off scraps all year. How is a centre forward meant to impact games when we play like this?
The football has gotten worse step by step since his arrival too, I'm not saying it's his fault but the timing isn't a coincidence. Like you said, a RW was the biggest need and what did José do ? He brought another player who loves to play from the left. Well fecking done.

Even if all those didn't happen and the players cut out the individual mistakes, we still have a fecked up way of playing football in these games. We start lethargically, we get bullied all the time. Why does it keep happening all the time ? Mourinho is a bit responsible I'd say.
I think Mourinho is the least of our problems at the moment. The attitude and laid-back prima donna attitude of the squad stinks.

I'm starting to lose patience with Pogba. This is the first time I'm entertaining the thought that we'd be better off replacing him as there just seems something wrong with his attitude. I hope I'm wrong.

We need to play him in his optimal position - 21.3 yards in from the left touchline, 15.9 yards beyond the halfway line. Until those conditions are met, it’s really not fair to judge him.

I can't help thinking Maureen is frightened of losing it with them and losing the dressing room with what happened at Chelsea.Think he's scarred.
