Mata/Lingard always become 'must start' names after every good cameo but when they start struggle to have an impact/go invisible. That right wing is a vicious cycle of disappointment

who in gods name wouldwear these abomonations, they should be banned and the sellers selling them banned from OT.
I don't get the big uproar. I view them as souvenirs for fans who travel to O.T from a different country.

I myself am not from England, so it my first ever time at O.T (2009 vs Arsenal when we lifted the PL trophy ) I bought a half & half scarf as a memory of my first game. I brought my girlfriend to O.T vs Spurs in 2015 (3-0) and she wanted one as a memory too.

You English are so uptight about your scarves

What's the chances of Felliani or Herrera coming back for this one?

Feel like we need a better midfield option then McTominay for this one

Salah vs Young will be a big, big problem. Whoever plays on the left wing will have to backtrack to support Young otherwise they'll be attacking this flank all the time.

The love in for Liverpool in the media at the moment is sickening. They’ve achieved absolutely nothing under Klopp and they are behind us, classic situation.

Of all the thing you could have bought in the shop , you picked a half and half scarf , just wrong, but if you like it. Personally I think they are dreadful.

Has Mata ever played bad against Liverpool (in United shirt)?
He'd be my first choice in AM/RW for Liverpool match.
Mata hasn't started a game with Mourinho's United against Liverpool, and was a sub only once, at home.

Fully expecting this to be a horrible game to watch from our perspective but still looking forward to the tension of it. Can see it being another draw, though Ill go for 1-1 instead of 0-0. If there is a winner though Im confident it will be us.

Liverpool are only seen as a bastion of attacking football because that's all they do.

As far as I see it, City are the best attacking side in the league, while Utd are the best defensive side in the league.

If Liverpool are trying to outdo City in attack then they'll fail 99/100 times. Guardiola is a better attacking manager than Klopp.

This. Will be another horrible, non-existing offense display from us with Liverpool having 25 shots on target, Dave pulling out a worldie or two to secure us a point.

Had a dream it was 0-0 and they scored in the 89th minute. Klopp did his maniac sprint down the touchline celebration. We then went and equalized straight from kick off, OT going crazy. Jose staying calm, organizing us, then we grab a 94th minute winnner from Alexis.

Camera pans to a pig sick Klopp.

What's Jose Mourinho's record like against Liverpool?
Since taking charge at Old Trafford, the boss has drawn all three of his matches against the Merseysiders, so he will be keen to record his first victory over them as United manager on Saturday. (3G 3D)

In total, Jose has faced the Anfield club 26 times during his career in all competitions and boasts an impressive record of 11 wins, nine draws and just six defeats. (26G 11W 9D 6L)

Lovren acting all big and tuff.

Hope he does his special, makes a big mistake, gives us a pen or get a red.

And I hope he'll go behind bars soon.

Genuinely think 0-3 or similar. They always play out of their skin against us and I don't think our defence will cope. In fact, I think they'll fall apart badly when Salad runs at them. I just hope Bailly can play.
So the last time we conceded 3 goals at home was....err....I can't remember that far.
And you have come to conclusion that tomorrow will be the first time we will concede 3 goals, for the first time in God knows how long?
I realise that many people on this forum love to bash our club and spread negativity, but what logic is being used to conclude that our team is this bad?
Do people realise that we are the 2nd best team in the league?

Someone needs to explain to this current bunch. That see the way we go away from home and the home team give 200% effort, just because it’s us in town? Well that’s us on Saturday!

If we never won another game all season, to sicken them filthbags this Saturday, would be just poetry!

Need to be super aggressive and win all them individual battles every 50/50. Shout for every throw in, corner, free and get on the refs case early! Not one backwards step to be taken. Meet these feckers head on and beat 7 bells out of them!
Have you typed this message in a different language, then used Google translate to convert to English?
    Genuine question.

This. I don't get why everyone considers them and Spurs as the champions for attacking football. All that attacking football and they're still 2 points behind us and around 20 points off City. They aren't in a position to be bragging really. Not when they're so far off the lead. United are number 2 and Liverpool number 3. It's a simple as that.

ok? We're not playing City though - we're playing Liverpool. And their front 3 is to be feared - even if they're not City.

Same lineup as against Crystal Palace, Can't see Mourinho making any interesting changes.
I'd choose the same line-up we used in the 2nd half.
That team played with high energy and demonstrated a will to win that I have not seen in quite a while.

Have seen several pressure from the media for some time now on us going attacking tomorrow. Hopefully Mourinho won't get dragged and repeat the same mistake of City and Spurs game when we started with shite and open formation that led to our demise.

We should play similar formation to the last 2 games with Bailly in for Lindelof.

Speaking to The Times, Lovren said: “Maybe they are not in the best shape, but still they win ugly.

“What matters is the points. Last time, when they came here, they defend really deep so let’s see what happens now.

“[Will they do that again?] I think so. They need the points, definitely. For them it will be maybe a good point but, for us, we never play for a point. We will play like we play every day, attacking football. Let’s enjoy.

“Still, you know Mourinho has his own plans. It is our job to focus on ourselves and play how we hope will beat them.”
    Ooooh.
    I like this.
We are ramping up for a big match, people.
Hopefully, comments like this will fire up our players, who normally start games like a pre-match warm up.

There are plenty of people on here, who are fans of MUFC, MCFC and no doubt, LFC. For those people, these scarves would be perfect.

Going for a score draw myself. 2-2 I think.

I'll be very surprised if we can stop Mane or Salah scoring at some stage. Real question is how much damage we can do at their end which seems to be Russian roulette with our attackers this season.

Agree mate but I suspect the haters will hate. We've seen it with signings where the vultures will always be circling waiting for the next mistake or the poor first touch. The funny thing is how can a guy score soooo many goals with one? The first touch sets up your shot doesn't it?
In the era of gifs, memes, captions and Internet forums , pretty much anything can be said to be fact when it suits. No logical thought necessary

Would like to see Mata in a midfield 3 with Matic and Pogab. Mata just seems to tie things together nicely when on form. Don't think it's going to happen, but would love to see it.

At this point, I'd happily accept a draw. They are flying, we are iffy. Obviously I'd prefer to win 16 nil but we are shaky defensively, and their attack is formidable.
Form & whatnot goes out of the window in games like this one. I remember when they came to OT in 2009 and beat us 4-1. United had won 11 league games in a row until then beating all and sundry......

Jose’s teams are usually very tough to beat at home. We have Pogba, Martial, Sanchez & perhaps Bailly available for this one. I’d be sorely disappointed if we don’t walk away with all the 3 points after the final whistle. I don’t even care how we win, we should just win and put some daylight between us and Klopp’s boys.

Is this a distinct possibility mate?
He has helped Zdravko Mamic in laundering money from Dinamo, his ex club, and he might get a indictment for giving false statements to the court so there is a possibility, although with the way our courts work he will probably get a fine.

    The cnut.

A**ehole. Hopefully he does get something in the way of a prison sentence, that's mental if he can get away with that with a fine. And aye he's definitely a cnut.

Klopp will be hoping we ''go for it" - our centrebacks and midfielders are not adept at playing through a heavy press, so if we start trying to build up from the back and pass it around in midfield, we'll concede a lot chances.

Was watching a video yesterday with Full Time Devils and Redmen TV guys together discussing the game. One of the guys from Redmen said he would never want to see his side play the way we play. "It is everything Liverpool fans hate about football," he said.

But then Howsen said he thought Mourinho and Benitez are (or at least were in the past, when Benitez was at the top of his game) very similar types of managers. And the Redmen people agreed.

I thought that was a bit contradictory, given how they all worshipped Benitez in the past. And still look back on very fondly, as far as I can see. One of their most cherished managers, who they were still going on about years after he left, acknowledged as very similar to Mourinho. But now they have an attacking manager, and we have the defense-first tactician, and now this football is everything they hate about football. When they played it under Benitez: love it. When we play it under Mourinho: despise it.

Just goes to show how partisan football is I guess, objectivity always in short supply. I dont think Liverpool fans are any different to anyone else in that regard. But it shows we shouldnt (and mostly we dont) get bogged down worrying about what other people think about us or the way we play.

Completely confident any attempts at mind games, any attempt to encourage Mourinho to play the way they want us to play, are doomed to fail.

BBC - Danny Murthy with an article about Pogba being poor

Sky - all pundit predictions raving about Liverpool then deciding it will be a draw
another article about Salah wanting to score against another top 6 side
another article about Pogba and Sanchez getting in each other's way.

If Liverpool are so good why are they behind us in the league?

Fellaini being back is quite nice for this game. If he's fully fit, I'd go (though I'd expect lingard for martial here).
