Awful tactics, completely on Jose this one. No other way about it.
It's on him for starting Sanchez when clearly he is out of form. and playing fellaini instead of McTominay who has been playing his heart out for us.Exactly, most of the team was invisible - Sanchez and Pogba did nothing on a stage where they should show their class. It's not all on Jose.
I don’t care if I get called knee jerk, but I agree with everything you’ve said 100%.We've seen too many good players turn to shit under this manager for it to be anything other than him. His cowardly tactics and shameful football. It's boring and embarrassing to watch United these days, and only barely tolerable when we win matches. But it's been tumescent shit forever. And this just takes the cake.
I can categorically say that I have no support left to give Mourinho. He is the exact opposite of the type of coach I want at this club. Manchester United and shit on a stick football, do not go together. Sadly, this club is now more about making money, and as long as he gets us in the CL, he'll still have a job.
I've supported this club since I knew about football - about 5 years old - and it means more to me than just a game. It's the only connection I had to my estranged, and now late, father. He would be turning in his grave to see what a fecking spineless shower this manager has turned us into.
I will not post in the football forum (a blessed relief to many I am sure) or watch another game until this fecking charlatan has gone. Most games make my eyes bleed, and that is not what football is supposed to be about.
Mourinho out. I'm done.
Can't see it happening, I think our league position will be enough to ensure he's here for next season at the least.Mourinho needs to leave because there is an incompatiblity between what the fans want/the players are capable of and what he wants for his team. He's become a joke now, time to end it.
The voice of reason - I feel exactly the same. We are not the team that we were under SAF. We are rebuilding from being pretty rock bottom, and we don't have the quality of players we need to play a tactical pragmatic game in the CL atm. Conversely if we'd gone all out attack I could see us getting taken apart too. In the end we got a dire middle ground. It happens.Shite game, poor attitude, poor performance.... We got what we deserved. We are still building, we've only just got back in the CL and I wasn't expecting us to go all the way so meh. Just hope we address what needs to be addressed and improve on this.
We've had games like this under SAF and its not like we've been playing in the CL with a settled team for the least few seasons so I'm not going to too redcafe crybaby..... But we gotta show more fight from the get go.
I know we pace ourselves (coast thru half the match) and back our defence and our ability to score later on but its not great to watch and its high risk. Just go for it ffs....
Disappointed but I didn't expect much more so meh....
Pogba looks like he doesn't give a shit anymore, it's all like a training match to him out thereDeserved, and not surprising
No attacking nous, no real desire from the team (a few individuals deserve credit, namely Lukaku and Rashford)
Pogba looked like he didn't care.
Unfortunately it's true. The spineless way he setup the team, the way the players don't respond, him being stubborn, putrid quality of football, it's just too much. I don't usually advocate sacking managers but i don't really know if he got what it takes to manage a club like United. It was a nightmare scenario and this all so depressing. I wanted to defend him, give some support but i can't. Sucking the joy out of football.Mourinho needs to leave because there is an incompatiblity between what the fans want/the players are capable of and what he wants for his team. He's become a joke now, time to end it.
Don't think any of us really thought we would win it, but Jose has won it with a worse squad than ours. There was a hope I suppose. That was an abysmal performance.I'm sure none of us thought we'd actually win it this year; but to get knocked out against a side who leak goals like Sevilla do is just embarrassing. Thing is they were better than us for 170 out of the 180 minutes we played them. If we'f had a go could have been a different story.
I agree with this. We even extended his contract ffs, we are a joke. Can't see it happening, I think our league position will be enough to ensure he's here for next season at the least.
Yep. His lack of desire is fecking pathetic. Honestly wouldn’t care if we shipped him out and got a replacement. He’s got the talent but what does it matter when he just can’t be arsed?Pogba looks like he doesn't give a shit anymore, it's all like a training match to him out there
Obviously it is knee jerk from me, because I'm still posting. And it's definitely a meltdown, but it's been coming for ages. I've been burying this rant for so long. I'm fecking ashamed of what we put out on the pitch every week.I don’t care if I get called knee jerk, but I agree with everything you’ve said 100%.
Listen your dead right. I have been a Jose fan all along but only so much I can put up with. Jose needs to go in the summerMourinho out, if you wanted Van Gaal out you simply cannot defend these types of performances, which have been a constant for most of the last 12 months.
Can’t wait for all the muppets on here to tell me I’m a stupid cnut, please go ahead...
Agreed. Fellaini could at least do some defending. Remember, it was still 0-0 when Fellaini was subbed off.I Blame Jose Mourinho for taking Fellalini off for Pogba. Pogba and Sanchez deserves wage cuts
Because it wasn't a tactical masterclass. It was Liverpool having an off day, one player out jumping anothet and a young RB being exposed.I don't understand it. Can someone explain how we could execute a very good tactical plan almost to perfection vs Liverpool and then a few days later fail so miserably to do anything of note against Sevilla? Is it a lack of fitness? Was Jose trying to save stamina by lining up and playing so negatively? Can our players only be arsed for the biggest occasions? Did Jose simply underrate Sevilla?
I really don't get it and it makes me sad.
Because it's Mourinho's genius tactics. Do the unexpected. Defend at home against a midtable team and try to counter attack. Ya fecking right. The guy is a jokeCan anyone explain to me why we played like we where 3 nil up in the tie?
