Having just watched Twelve Monkeys again i got to thinking that its a film i can watch over and over and over and i love it and i think its the best film (for me) ever made, i think all three main characters are fantastic and it hits me emotionally every time.

I like and rate many other films and I usually watch 15+per week, sometimes 4/5 a day of all kinds.

Obviously this is a personal opinion, so what is yours?

Hopefully you get where im coming from.

Blimey

I have others that I prefer personally to watch more often etc, but in terms of "best" I'd probably pick Alien or The Thing, off the top of my head.

Twelve Monkeys is great.

I'm not expert enough to evaluate serious films, so my fave is Mel Brooks' comedy Young Frankenstein.

Terminator/ Terminator 2/ RoboCop

Have quite a lot of films I can watch over and over again, but those three stand out.

I already notice older movies in the first few comments. It really seems like Hollywood can't make proper movies anymore that will remain classics in the future.

Interstellar, In a cinema with nobody but yourself it's incomparable, the scoring is unbelievable.

Also, the Grand Budapest Hotel, I just love the pointless simplicity of the film, and the trademark Wes Anderson picture perfect scenes.

Purely from an entertainment pov I've always had a soft spot for Groundhog Day. Peak Bill Murray and a great story that ironically can be watched over and over again.

The Dark Knight.

Such a good film and I could watch it every week.

Lord of the rings trilogy also comes close.

Goodfellas is my absolute fav. Can just start watching from any point (no not when the credits roll, silly).
Love so many scenes from it.

Not a movie expert, but from the small list of movies I saw, I'll go for inception.
