Why has he left before the season ended? Is it to get playing time before the World Cup perhaps? It can't be because we are out of CL. There's still a chance of winning the FA Cup and it would've been fantastic to see him win that last trophy in the last game of the season. It doesn't feel right to leave this way. He is a winner and I wanted him to get a proper end off at OT and then win the FA Cup.
Cause the MLS transfer window is open and he's heading there

One of the greatest of his generation and a real character, football needs more players like him.

Shame he couldn't recover from that injury but hopefully he still scores some worldies in the MLS. Sweden should take him to the World Cup, put him on the bench and let him play a few minutes in one match for a proper goodbye.

If he is going to MLS, then the transfer window is open now till end of April

Complete waste of time this signing.
we could have given Rashford the playtime he had, we did not finish in the top 4 and his effect in winning the Europa league was little. The only thing he did add to the team, some experience and leadership to the youth players.
Complete waste of time, these posts.

Also, Rashford played about 55 games last season.

The only guy Sanchez is talking to is leaving the club

On a serious note, thank you and good luck. I'm glad that such a character played for our club, even though it wasn't for a long time (and, sadly, we weren't able to win him yet another domestic trophy). Legend

Not much of a fan so I won't miss him. Thanks for the performance against Southampton, though.

Have to say that some of the comments under the official announcement on the Facebook page are comedy gold

Was very good for us last season. Glad he can take home a European Trophy albeit lesser one. Good luck Zlatan!

Played out wide for the sake of Zlatan and scored only 5 goals. While he scored more in 2 months under LVG.

Keep your own opinion to yourself.
There's always one like you...

Sad to see him go although it was just one season. And it was a great season despite some like to downplay it. Great player and a great character.

Big thanks to Zlatan for his two seasons at the club, especially his first one. He was fantastic for us last year, unfortunately it hasn’t worked out this time. It was a great sentiment to give him this year after his injury but he has struggled with his fitness and also found it hard to get up to speed on the pitch in the limited time.

Farewell Ibra!

#forevered in his statement.

Love the man. Wish we had him sooner. Such a shame with his injury. Hope he ends his career in style.

Funny how Rashford is the first player to post him a farewell message.

Thought he would have left after the season. I never thought he had it in him for the PL when we bought him but he proved me wrong. Thanks for your service wishing you well for the future.

I wish him all the best. He was my dream signing and it was fulfilled. He was excellent for us last season.

Agree.

It was a signing that either would be a massive success if we had won the PL title, or a good try if a close 2nd, otherwise a waste of time that could have been used to develop Rashford.

Carried us in both trophies we won last season. He would have been a monster in this improved team.

We can afford it. Now lets get the deadwood out in the summer
There was a story yesterday from I think the Express that our summer plans have had to change because of the wages of Sanchez. I doubt we would have signed him if it was really going to put us in a financial bind so probably news paper BS. Unless our plans were like Ronaldo, Neymar and Bale or something this summer.

Maybe it wasn’t the express and they were running we were getting rid of Sanchez in the summer to bring Ronaldo back.

Any way Zlatan thanks, came too late, but did a decent enough job for us.

Enjoyed watching him in a United shirt.
Real shame about the injury, couldn’t see him coming back in the same way.

Good luck to him. Great career.

Been a pleasure watching him in United shirt, if only for a season. Thanks for memories.

Would wish him luck, but Zlatan doesn't need luck.

I wish him well. It's a shame we never had him here in his younger days.

A nice guy as well. Good luck to him.

He's gone and ruined his Wikipedia page:

What a player and personality though, loved having him here.

Brought badly needed confidence, leadership and personality to a team recovering from Moyes/LVG. Also, goals. Seemed to take it upon himself to help the young players too. Wish we had signed him ten years earlier.

Shame the injury cost him a second season, would have been nice to see him bow out in style.

In relation to Rashford, developing young players isn't just about playing them as much as possible, even when they're not ready for it. Rashford played as much as he needed to last year and there were times when he didn't look ready for even that amount of gametime. As he himself said, Zlatan's presence helped his development.

We ruined his record of winning the league in his first season, didn’t we? Typical.

Good luck Zlatan!

Was brilliant seeing him in a United shirt. Shame we left it so late. Wish him all the best.
