Zlatan only scored a grand total of 2 goals against teams who finished top 4 during last season. To his credit, Ibra was a great flat-track bully.

But Ibra was also a big reason why Manchester United dropped a lots of points & ended up outside top 4 due to his inconsistent finishing.

Which many here on this forum used to complain about whenever he played.

Let's not forget that Ibra is also the player who missed most clear-cut chances by any other EPL-player during 16/17.

Ibra had a huge lead on that particular stat he got that nasty injury.

Please don't have a US-born child. We don't want a USA team with L.Pirlo, T.Pirlo, Schweinsteiger junior and Ibrahimovic junior in 2042, surely?!

Superb league cup final. Never professed to be a fan tbh and probably one of the most bizarre decisions to give a 36 year old recovering from a cruciate a 1 year contract.

Still he’s been a huge character in the game and accomplished more than most can dream. Best of luck Zlatan.

Amazing player, the likes of which will rarely be seen again, if at all. The bicycle kick scored against England summed him up ....pure genius.

Good luck Zlatan.

We really missed his leadership on the pitch this season. Was a pleasure to see him play for United and what a career he has had, the list of clubs he has played for is as good as it gets.

True. But why are you calling us "Man Utd"?

His time with us was bittersweet, the fairytale didn’t happen, but he’s cut from the same cloth as Cantona and we may never see his like in the game again (unless you go to watch LA Galaxy).

Good luck to him across the pond.

Also a big reason why we won the Europa League (5 goals and 3 assists) and the League Cup (5 goals in 5 games)

I'll remember him the same way I will RVP. With huge gratitude and respect for what he did for us for one year, and a little sadness that it wasn't for longer.

2 goals in 6 games, one in which he was a late substitute, one JoMou Anfield special and one Stamford Bridge capitulation. It's not that bad.

Good players do miss a lot of chances, Salah's already missed more clear cut chances this season than Zlatan did and Kane is about to reach the same number as well. It's only when the rest of the team fails to score goals it becomes highlighted.

Who gave you the points to be promoted?

Because it's an acronym for Manchester United.
No it's not. MU would be an acronym. "Man Utd" is typically used by people who dislike the club.
Not worth your time.

Strikers are failures if they don't score a goal per game in the eyes of some of these younger hipster fans. They don't want to recognize what you pointed out or the fact that Zlatan single-handedly won us many games last season.

Losing to Comeback Winning!
Slightly surprising as it happened months before the end of the season, although the rumour is already floating around.

But I guess since he's not contributing anything, might as well terminate it early, we're not a charity club anyway.

Oh, and the big injury did a big damage on him, could have go on much longer in top level.

It was fun while it last.

Off and go retire at small league.

I think he should've waited a year after his injury or at least close to it to start playing again. He started to play matches too early for someone his age, that being said he did contribute well for us in the time he was here (though his wages were legitimately insane), but I expected him to have 0 impact to 17/18 season and thats how its turned out.

Love him as a player and as a character.

Just have a look at his other posts.

I don’t mind rival fans joining to have a debate. But this guy is clearly here to troll.

So many digs in one post, good going. Even fans who weren't convinced by us signing him (or re-signing him) aren't this cnutish.

City fan? Barca?

For all the pros and all the cons of Zlatan’s one proper season for us it’s him as a character I’ll remember fondly, in a squad lacking characters and leaders he was head and shoulders above everyone else in that regard and that could only have been a positive influence on the squad.

It was a dream come true, albeit a short one. Unbelievable character.

So happy I was able to see him in United shirt. And to be present at Wembley where he scored the winning goal...wonderful memories.

Twilight of his career, but was great to see a player of his ilk wear the United shirt (and not be afraid of it)

That header against Southampton in the league cup final was my highlight, just knew as the ball was floated over it was going to be a goal. Will miss his charisma, his interviews and his unshakeable belief he was the best. Hope he has a couple of good seasons in the US.

This is a guy who got seriously injured playing for Man United, anyone who says "good riddance" or "should never have re-signed him" is frankly a disgrace, he is/was a United player, and a very good player at that. Farewell Zlatan!
