Does someone think Smalling is better than Rojo?
I'd still argue that Rojo is our best centre-back defensively. He's prone to a mistake or two but he's better than Smalling, Lindelof arguably Jones and Bailly too. Bailly clearly has the most going for him but still a bit raw.

Look at Liverpool bro. Look at the output the manager gets from his average players. Mourinho needs to feck off big time.
I wonder how he'll throw the players under the bus
Exactly. They play as a cohesive unit. We're a bunch of individuals.

How many times has lumping it to Lukaku worked this season...twice maybe? It’s pathetic. How’s about simple pass, move, anything but this shit on a stick.

Didn’t like Van Gaal but he would have been bang up for this match.

This is rubbish. People keep going on about Peps spending. He's coaching his team twice as well as Jose is. Even with players rested they're schooling us. fecking miserable.
They weren't schooling us till the first goal went in. City are clearly exceptional. So you have to be close to your best. And if smalling can't do the only thing he can do half decent then there is not much anyone can do.

I would actually give our team a 0/10 performance this half for the first time ever. We have created 0 chances and city could and should be up by 4 or 5 goals as they create big chances at will. It is one of the most appalling performances i have seen from a united side. There are no pride or hunger to fight for the club or the fans.

We need two proper full backs and a centre half to play with Bailly. I'm sick of saying it. We have loads of mediocre defenders who aren't good enough at the highest level. We need quality over quantity.
For me the problem is we get overrun, its really down to losing the long ball and then boom we're backing off leaving space in front of the back three. City have a left winger and a right winger if we push up our LB back or RB on of the CB's gets pulled out the ether side..

Why are our players unable to make short passes? Is this not the basic things taught in football?

My centaments exactly even if they give him another 400mil, he will still be Pep’s bitch and the team will play the same.

Who should we have got then? Pep's brother?
    Not what I meant.

Im happy with Mourinho because you can see he is rebuilding the car crash that was our squad these last few years. We are improving.

However, when Fergie retired we really should have had a plan to get someone like Pep in place. If it meant we couldn't, he should have stayed on. Those 3-4 years of moyes and LVG really has put us far behind this citeh team, who were already winning titles prior to Pep's arrival.

You mean the best keeper in the world? Or shall we move DDg on?
People are far too quick to leap to the defence of De Gea. He’s a great shot stopper, but his distribution is so average. I’m quite open about still preferring VDS in a top side with a soild defence, because the value of leadership, command of area and distribution to shot stopping shifts.

Well now that you mention it
They're not playing for him period. They're nervous and fragile and this is far from the first time were seeing this. We can talk tactics all day and the players have to sack up but if the manager fails to light the fire time and time again then it's time to start talking job security.

Smalling, Darmian, Blind, Rojo: not good enough at this level. Jones is permanently injured, Shaw isn't wanted, and we have two wingers at full back; it's a shit show. Lindelof is young and can't be judged yet.

They're a better team than us though. Not better individual players, but definitely a better team with a clear philosophy. Probably going to take 2nd from us as well.
Taken them a while to get the coach they wanted and time to build it. We seem to feck about with no clear idea who we wan as coach, players ...

It's a really strange one. Klopp seems to know what to do and has laid down the blueprint to at least give them a game. How Jose can watch that and set them up like this I have no idea. A complete lack of humility that his approach has failed time and time against pep in different leagues and across multiple competitions
Because you can't just coach players how to do what Klopp does in a week's worth of training sessions. It's a philosophy that needs to be pushed week in week out. The blueprint to counter Pep teams has always been there, but there are very few teams who have the coaching and talent to consistently execute that blueprint

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
If anyone has the temerity to moan about Jose and/or bus parking again until we sort this back four out then they need their heads examined

We’ve got a keeper who hasn’t found a red shirt with a kick for about three seasons, two wingers at full back, Eric Bailly who is the most casual CB I’ve seen in a while and Chris “need I say more” Smalling

This is the gap between 1st and 2nd currently. Not 1st and 10th. City is miles ahead of everyone and this United team doesn't look like it can even be asked.

    fecking depressing.

Complaining about Pogba as he actually tries to spark something in this timid side whilst simultaneously moaning about our style of play compared to City's just goes to show that most fans have absolutely no idea what they want.
Pogba was the only one that tried to stop the pressure on us and take control of the ball. It's like all the rest lost their balls in the bus

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
People blaming Smalling for the first - which of our other defenders would have stopped that? He is by far, to an almost embarrassing extent, our best header of the ball in our defence. So if even he couldn't stop Kompany than who the hell would have? Don't get me wrong, he should have done better, but at least he can win some against Kompany. None of our others would.

It is pointless to try and blame the players when the entire team looks shit and incapable of playing some decent football.

We can't attack and we can't defend, so what exactly are we paying Mourinho for ??

Not like the players he has bought have been good either, Lukaku has been useless and Matic is making it obvious that we need an upgrade on him as well.

Right? It's shocking to see so much said about the players when these exact players have been seen performing way better in inferior teams. It's not like we didn't have enough transfer seasons as well. Why did we buy Sanchez for example? Especially when we have 2 perfectly good players in that position. It's far past the time for a center figure to take the responsibility. We've been performing poorly, bought expensive, dropped from the CL, and our football is uglier that a Pug's face.
I am sick of him and sick of watching this team with player's not caring and a fecking dinosaur as a manager

How can you expect passion from a team if the manager shows absolutely no passion. I wonder which players he is going to throw under bus. Sad sad day.
Shaw thanking his lucky stars he wasn't on the lineup

We dissed The Louie … wtf do you expect?
They are right and if people could look beyond the **** of personality surrounding Mourinho they would find it difficult to disagree. Our approach is an embarrassment for a club with our resources and history. Disgusting.

Sanchez on 400+k a week is a wonderful anchor for the next manager to deal with. Cheers Mou.

What on earth are we up to? Never mind Smalling - we all know he's a bit shit - what the hell are we trying to achieve here?!! What is the point of Lukaku? Or Sanchez? Or Lingard? What are they doing? And Pogba - I missed the first 30 seconds and it took me 5 minutes to realise he was playing.

No shape, no ideas, no speed.. An utterly shambolic 45 minutes. We didn't fall apart after 20 minutes, City demolished us.

Another goal from a set piece. jesus christ. Match completely changes because of that goal. Criminal that they score from set piece given how taller and stronger we are man for man. I can guarantee Mourinho has told Smalling to closely watch Komapany at set pieces and he messes up again. We were containing them up until that goal. It is exactly like when Liverpool scored against City midweek.
    Mad isn’t it!

    Smalling is done under Mourinho.

The fact Smalling has played so often says more about our others defenders, than his ability.

We've got alot of "name" players but they dont play like a team.

We really dont play like a cohesive unit. Whereas citeh can plug anyone in and they dont miss a beat. Thats the difference right now.

Basically sack Mourinho. He’s doing us no good
We can't - we just extended his contract earlier on in the year for no good reason. Although PSG can have him for free if they want rid of Emery.
