Liv can't win vs a tactically good team , so they will just lose in the final except Mo score a brace in the first 10 mins somehow

Last 10 games: Salah: 12 goals, Ronaldo: 15 goals.

Ronnie wouldn't allow 6 times to happen.

To quote @B20 and his star wars analogy, Ronaldo is Obi Wan, Salah is Anakin.
I hope you realise that Anakin Skywalker eventually killed Obi-Wan.

Real with Ramos are a far bigger animal than they are without him, as we saw against Juve, Liverpool will be underdogs regardless of who goes through but I think they'd find it a bit harder against Madrid if Madrid are at full strength and no suspensions.

Liverpool will have a 30% chance at best against either Madrid or Bayern. They won’t be playing on a neutral ground like they play at Anfield and Klopp is a major final bottler.

Whether it’ll be Madrid or Bayern, you can bet that Players like Ronaldo will rise to the occasion and be ruthless against Lovren and Karius.

Liverpool will be the object of the annual love-in fest, and will be hailed as heroes for even reaching the cl final. They will be crowned as the moral winners by the scouse English media.

Make no mistake, Bayern or Madrid will skin their defense alive.

I thought we could do with one thread on this as I’d like to pick your brains.

I don’t watch any Bundesliga because it’s preditable and La Liga isn’t my cup of tea these days.

So, can a Caf expert on European footy give their opinions and insight on the current Bayern and Real sides?

Their playing styles, squad depth, potential injuries or suspensions for final and who you think will make a more difficult opponent for Liverpool?

Many thanks.
Are you forgetting that they have a second leg to play in Rome? They aint in the final yet.

Pretty much irrelevant at this level. I think the only factor which will put a dampener on the Liverpool/Salah show is Klopp somehow changing his tactics to play more conservatively.

I thought he might do just that in the second leg of the Man City QF (but still progress), but they went about it like an everyday match. If they do the same over the next 2 games, I can't see any team stopping them.

Maybe he'll try to change things up in the next 2 games, to the team's detriment.

Notice a lot of people on here rooting for Madrid to make it to the finals to beat Pool.

Is it just me that hates Madrid just as much as Pool?

Both sets of fans in my country won't shut up about their European/Champs league victories. Madrid v Pool finale would be a nightmare!

Leggo Bayern!!

Yes.

I think that Liverpool will win it if they play Bayern.

Real would be my choice. To beat Klopp's system, you must have at least either a strong defence or a strong offence.

Neither Bayern nor Real has been really good in term of defence at this season. However unlike ageing Bayern's attack, Real still has a cheat code named CR7

Let’s not kid ourselves here, both Bayern and Real Madrid are significantly better than Liverpool

Combined Real Madrid and Liverpool team

GK Navas
Rb Carvajal
CB varane
CB Ramos
LB Marcelo

CM Casemiro
CM kroos
Cm Modric

RW Salah
St Ronaldo
LW Isco

Combined Liverpool and Bayern team

GK whoever neuers understudy is
RB Kimmich
CB hummels
CB Boateng
LB Alaba

CM Vidal
CM Thiago
CM Rodriguez

RW salah
ST Lewandowski
LW Coman (maybe Mane)

If both managers just fecking analyze that all you need to do against Liverpool is sit a little bit deep to deny space in behind, and then go long to ronaldo/Lewandowski to avoid the press, then Liverpool will get spanked by either team in the final.

From the teams that faced each other in the CL final 2013 in Wembley Hummels and Lewandowski play now for Bayern - and Can (so he was just a substitute in that season) and one of the fitness coaches are now working for Liverpool.

I'd be more comfortable seeing them face Bayern.
I think Madrid with all their experience could simply collapse in 10 minutes and concede 2 goals, I feel like they could sink into Liverpool's game, super quick and intense football, on the other hand I can't see Bayern losing against them
it could obviously happen, but I reckon Bayern will simply outsmart them and keep Salah quite.

Absolutely this. A little rational thinking goes a long way.

Klopp's quite frankly abysmal record in finals also stands us in good stead.

How could you possibly hate Madrid as much as Liverpool?
Easy. Know more Madrid than Liverpool fans.

Plus, I'd rather the world start to recognize Madrid's trick of phoning it in all season bar a few games in the CL.

Bayern vs Roma/Liverpool in the final please. Heynekes is awesome so hope he snags another CL. Or Roma if they turn things around.

Madrid. Much more likely to do the business imo.

Don't mind them anywhere near as much these days since the rise of bullshit clubs.

Liverpool will have momentum and will, but they will also have tons of nerves and anxiety. They played familiar City and old Roma, they will play either of two fantastic teams with better players in almost every position. When Real Madrid enter that grass, they are 100% focused and smelling blood - they have Ronaldo, the ultimate winner, as well as insanely good players in Marcelo, Kroos, Ramos, Modric, Casemiro and/or Bale, Benzema, Asensio. It will be 50% chance or more in the favor of the other team, at least we have something to lean on.

Either side would have the best and most tactically disciplined midfield that Liverpool have played this season. Realistically Liverpool have beaten one impressive side in the Champions League and it was an English side with a manager who is smarter than everyone else. Bayern and Madrid adapt and have the experience and now how to not play into their hands. Obviously it's a one off final so all's it takes is a bad day at the office but the same can be said of Liverpool who have a bottler of a manager and a team with basically no knowledge of winning things.

Salah is the only player that would make either side and as long as neither tries to press too high they should be able to pick the scousers off and obviously batter them in the last 15-20 minutes of a game.

I do trust Madrid more though. They are cold blooded and I think Liverpool would get the benefit of the doubt on referee's and linesman's calls against Bayern (as they did against City and Roma), but not against Madrid.

No thiago ... wow. My only ray of hope is that Jupp definitely knows football better than me. Hope our defenders have a good day. This is incredibly offensive.

I hate Madrid too but Liverpool are a different animal. I truly detest them. I actually hate Barca more than Madrid.

Where I live it's full of Barca bandwagon fans. Yesterday I was the only person at the Fatburger by my work watching the game but Barca-Roma was full. Barca vs. anyone in CL they are all out. I know a lot of Barca fanboys too and the funny thing is a lot of them used to be Madrid fanboys and I always give them stick on that too.

If you really hate on the thought of Liverpool winning the UCL your best hope is Real Madrid (that's if we don't get eliminated by Bayern lol). It should be an exciting match with both teams featuring the most in form forwards currently (Salah and Ronaldo) but ultimately Madrid should beat them.

You're not the only one. I hate them both and I hope Bayern turn things around and win the damn thing.

I'm having debates with Utd fans on here about why Utd fans shouldn't want Liverpool to win the European Cup.

It's baffling.
I know who you're talking about. I can sort of understand him (Not really) since he's isolated from the intense rivalry.

Don't get why we should hate Madrid on the same level as Pool. They're not competing with us in the league and they're too far ahead of us in CL to think about it. They're not direct competitors so based on what should we hate them ? Surely can't be only because DDG and Nani red card ?

I actually quite have some tendency for them more than Barca. They had and have several players that I really loved. R9, CR7, Beckham, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Kroos, Modric, Ruud. The only Barca players I loved are Messi, Henry (who wasn't even at his best with them as he was at Arsenal) and Ronaldinho.

Feck them all. Hate all 3. Kind of have to go with Bayern. It’s anyone but Liverpool and although I rate Madrid the highest, it seems highly unlikely a team wins the champions league 3 years in a row.

I think Liverpool have a much better chance against Bayern than Real Madrid. So fully behind Madrid now. Can see Madrid's counters ending Liverpool's dreams.

Madrid are ruthless, they can stick 2/3 past Liverpool no doubt. Just depends whether they can contain Liverpool down the other end.
