Who does this guy think he is. Mourinho being Mourinho gassing him up has gone right to his head. Why are we begging him ffs
The state of this.. A player as limited as him should be thanking his lucky stars he is even at the club but instead is talking about having us by the balls like he's the star man. Would be peak Jose to bend over backwards for the likes of Fellaini.

I know I'm being harsh, but based on those statements I wouldn't give him shite, he can fek off to China imo.

Agreed, the cheek of him to say shit like this...

For all I care can rot on the bench til the seasons end and then he piss off.

He probably wants a longer contract than Utd are offering. Hopefully those quotes rubs Woodward the wrong way.

Players are now so fully surrounded by sycophantic 'yes men', that even Fellaini is labouring under the impression that he is actually good at football (rather than simply being a big lumbering galoot whose head the ball occasionally rebounds off). What's worse, one of these sycophants seems to be our very own manager. Get rid of him, José!

Feck, are these comments for real? :houllier:

A good midfielder costs €50m....so thats sort of what he’s basing his worth on....

Please please please let him leave! We are Manchester Utd not stoke! He should be nowhere near our team. I still go back to Moyes, who single handedly destroyed everything the great man (SAF) built by bring in this big lump and mata (who I also don’t rate be it controversial) along with getting rid of our back room staff immediately! Today is a sad day, it’s the day Fellaini holds MAN UTD to ransom!

Fellaini is bang on. A good player would cost at least €50m, but Fellaini is not a good player. He’s not exactly a big name player, and I imagine the only reason Anyone from China are interested is that he won’t have a transfer fee, given their 100% transfer tax.

If he was under contract, we would struggle to sell him for more than £10m. He has his uses, and I wouldn’t begrudge him signing a new contract, but I also wouldn’t give two hoots if he left.

These comments will not endure him to fans, and he must know how much he divides opinion.

 Those quotes are amazing. Before people start jumping up the clubs arse, Fellani says he asked for a new contract twice and didn't get one and even he recognises that it would cost us at least €50m to replace him, NOT he's worth €50m. He know's he's only being offered because we don't want to have to shop for more than one CM this summer.

He's leaving though, for sure, you wouldn't come out with that nonsense if you weren't ready to burn your bridges. Big summer ahead folks! We may have to sell someone to fund it now though...

Despite my criticism of the way he is used in certain games, i was actually happy enough for him to stay as a squad player. But after those quotes it's best if he moves on, i'm sure one of those clubs interested in him will pay him what he wants.
I've always appreciated that he is a very useful player to have and liked him more than most fans, but feck me I hate when someone mouths off like that. He should be told to feck off and go enjoy those other clubs.
 I actually posted a few pages back saying I was meh about the situation and we had bigger problems than his contract to sort.
...But after those comments he can get fecked, feck off Fellaini.

Amazing run of play. The Bayern player must have been thinking, where the feck is this guy going?
This is why Fellani is so dangerous, if he doesn't even know what he's going to do, how can the opposition possibly know? The guy's light years ahead of everyone.

A pay rise and extra year. Guess one can understand wanting security especially as he's at a club whose fans constantly goad him but if he wants too much then let him leave. I'm used to Jose saying anyone that doesn't want to be here can go. Fellaini isn't the player worth breaking this belief over. You just know it's only a matter of time before he's back starting CL games for us
I don't think Fella wants to leave, but when asked to sign the contract, he is telling the club that he wants a longer deal.
If Fella tells Jose that he wants to go, no matter what length of contract is offered, I think Jose will give up on him immediately.

Jose will probably be livid with him for destroying his negotiating leverage with this PR nightmare. Finally got the club to come around to extending Fellaini and he jeopardises it in one interview

Would suggest the club are on board with the new year extension. We only need him for one more season anyway, him leaving means we have to splash out and if the players we want aren't available we have to buy someone who isn't good enough or throw a reserve player in who isn't ready. Both scenario's aren't ideal.

I really hope next season he's sitting in Turkey wondering how he managed to blow it here.

Those are not good comments at all but there does seem to have been a theme in recent years of leaving it very late to renew/extend contracts. Would hate to think about better players than Fellaini having similar thoughts.
Apparently Martial was waiting for a contract offer for quite a while at United. If he got it before Sanchez arrived, when he was in the team and in great form, the club wouldn't be in a position now where he wants to leave and his contract is running down.

I know I'm being harsh, but based on those statements I wouldn't give him shite, he can fek off to China imo.
Not harsh at all. After those quotes he can do one. It really has come to something when the likes of Fellaini is holding the club to ransom. He has won the lottery with Jose as his manager and he has as much chance of joining another elite club as I do.

Those comments, christ. I don’t blame him though, he’s not a Man Utd fan, he’s an employee of the club. He’s within his right to maximise his earning potential while he can.

From the perspective of a fan though, I’m happy for us to find someone to replace him.

Mourinho will demand the club to buy a replacement for him if he leaves, which will cost the club a lot more than extending Fellaini’s contract.

Can’t blame Fellaini for using his cards to his advantage.

I read just recently if United offered more than a one year contract he would consider staying. Not so powerless it seems to me.

By all means he should use whatever tactic he seems fit BUT don’t tell a reporter you clown.

We would only be postponing the signing of a replacement by a year. May as well get it done now and rid ourselves of this oversized bog brush, saving the money from his wages.

We gave Lingard 100k per week.

not with this current condition where £30ish millions is the bare minimum for a decent footballer.
Regardless of his subjective quality, he's improved since he got that contract and he's played/appeared in something like 85% of our matches this season.

I don't actually mind paying players well who regularly turn out. Fellaini has barely featured this year and his appearances have been as a sub something like 75% of the time. You don't pay good money for that.

Basically showing off that he can hold the club to ransom now while being bitter at the same time.
It's fine to be annoyed if you don't get what you want when you want it, and then feel a bit smug when you're in a bit of a better position down the line, but comments like this in the media just scream of mercenary.

When fecking Fellaini is able to act like this you know football has gone to the dogs. Not so long ago he would've been told to sign it or feck off.

Well, maybe he'll get some huge offer from China or smth and he finally feks off. I didn't have anything against him until those quotes came out, utter disgrace. What was he thinking about, especially when he's negotiating a new contract, jesus.
