I wish I am alive to witness Rashford making a pass. I can't decide whether he is the most selfish player in the galaxy or just unbelievably bad in making decisions?

1 touch in Brighton box, 0 shots.

And we think we’re challenging for the league next season, not even close if we play like this

    He’s massively overrated!

The annoying thing is 80% of our fans support him, they don’t support the club. The school of thought is Sanchez’s arrival has been unfair to him.

However, the crux of the issue is simple. If Martial was pulling down trees, we wouldn’t need to sign Sanchez. If Martial was 10% as good as Mbappe, we wouldn’t need to sign Sanchez.

He can feck off if he wants. I have never seen anyone blessed with so much talents but as lazy as Martial. He’s too basic. He never runs behind defenders, he wants to collect the ball in front of his markers and then hope for luck to get past them.

There’s no football intelligence in him.
    Bravo.
This is how most of our games would look like if Jose didn't sign Lukaku and Sanchez.

I know we clash heads over Mourinho, but you've made some very valid points here pal.

There are people on this site who actually believe we are going in the right direction.
    A mystery.

    Yep, just get the points.

Lukaku shows his value in this game. You don't know what you have until he's gone.
Exactly. Rashford is not even close enough good on that position like lukaku. For our way of play i mean. Mourinhos style needs bully in penalty box

Lingard and Herrera would bring more urgency to that team. Couldn't play any worse in the second half.

Are we watching the same player?
How many times has he given away the ball this evening while trying to protect it? How’s this good enough for Man Utd?

David Silva protects the ball better than Matic who’s probably few inches taller than the Biblical Goliath. Too many unnecessary touches when a single one touch would suffice.

He did not look a happy bunny at the end. Can't really blame him, as that is some of the worst football I have seen.
It's not good so far but we've seen this too many times. Buck stops with the manager IMO. He picks the team, he chooses the tactics. His choice to have such a slow cumbersome spine to the team. However the players are also responsible. Likes of Matic, Rashford, Mata need to wake up. The misplaced passes, the lack of effort is not good enough. Brighton look more likely to score. Let's hope for an improved 2nd half.

Martial needs the ball played to him early enough for him to run at the defence. Mata, I agree may have been better in the stands and as for Rashford it his lack of poor movements that is making the midfield frustrated. He does not anticipate and does not move to create space for a pass and for that diabolical refusal to pass to Martial is why we have still not scored.
Rojo, I would cut him some slack as he would obviously be match rusty. Why do we play Fellaini if we are not playing to his strengths? Get Mata off and get Lingaard on at half time and if Fellaini continues to be useless get him off too and put of Herrera. I would give Rashford a few minutes and if he continues to play like he did in the first half, haul him off too.

Games like these show we are not a top team, have too many average players, lack of flair and have a very long way to go. I find it ridiculous that we’re 2nd in the league to be honest, in a good way of course, especially as Pool and Spurs have had seemingly brilliant seasons. Not only are we ahead, even 8 points in front of Pool if we win tonight. Weird shit
No mate, it simply shows how little they care for dead rubbers games like this one. We'll see a different United in the second half after Jose has been giving them the hairdryer for 15 minutes.

    Don't be so knee-jerk ;)

If Fellaini gets a new contract anywhere near what he's asking for then I'm demanding a huge pay hike in work.

He protects the ball very well, it’s one of his best traits. I don’t know why you’d even bother comparing him to David Silva.

I actually think the window to make the pass was very small as he was trying to draw the defender across. Actually great defending.

Rashford should go out on a loan. Would do him loads of good on his decision making.

After playing the first half display, Mourinho will realized that all the front six except for Matic should be changed (but he can't) during half time and also to be sold in the summer.
Rashford - still poor in decision making. have not progress.
Martial - not so interested and does not put pressure on their back line. Show flashes of dribbling at times but loose the ball easily.
Pogba - only wants to attack and whenever he looses the ball, he doesn't chase back and when there is 50-50 he will try to aviod. Looks like he is not listerning to the coaches and only want to do it his way. SAF has been right to let him go. I think he will do it again if he doesn't listern.
Mata - hopeless as he has been and is the slow-downer. he will run 30 yards with the ball and make a short and save pass. He cannot tackle and is not tough enough. He is the player with the most back passes if there is a statistic on it.
Felliani - only good in the air. Holding out for more money but not displaying the quality that deserved. Save the money and find another tall player with better skill in the air.

Praying to God that Fellaini fecks off to China, as long as we have him our attackers will never try to open up teams by passing well they will always take the easy approach of playing a long ball or a cross into the box.

    Are you watching closely?
City have won the league by an absolute country mile and yet their players still show up and look happy just to play football every game.

    Wonder why ours don't.

Lack of killer instincts. Or any instinct whatsoever. Whole team suffers from it.

How many of the starting eleven are going to the WC? Because they look like they're doing the bare fecking minimum in effort to save themselves and avoid risk of injury.

Granted the whole team , apart from De Gea, are playing poorly but the biggest problem is the Midfield which is non existent at all. No supply to attackers, no tracking back, poor passing, slow movement. Its just awful awful awful

Matic has a wit slower than earth’s revolution. It takes about 10 seconds for him to decide what he needs to do with the ball. He hangs on to the ball way too much and he has zero clue on how to protect the ball.

He should be a back up player at best. Jose can’t win the title with many of these lots. How did we go from Keane/Scholes/Carrick to this snail? One can make a trip to Bradford & back on foot and Matic still wouldn’t have figured out what to do with the ball.
Yeah, Jose could never win a title with Matic in midfield...
