Reckon top 4 defo but with the same brand of boring dull gloomy miserable unwatchable pathetic ancient bs football. Another 150m wasted on aging players and probably talented ones out.

What bugs me about Jose is Sanchez has been pathetic bar a couple of games since he started, pogba has been dismal in over 50% of the games h3 played, lukaku had a bad bad start, lingard is just not good enough but if martial has a bad game which he did at Brighton, he will make sure he highlights this and justifies dropping him. Before Sanchez came, he was awesome. Scored 9 assisted 6 by Jan. The after the spurs game just dropped out of favour despite Sanchez terrible start. Same with rashford, he started the season well and now looks lost and rubbish. Shaw he has shattered all confidence too.

I can see jose here for 2 more years, we will slum it in the league between 4th and 3rd and get a massively aging squad. By then we will be insame situation of when Fergie left and 6 list years wouldn't passed without a title of which city win 3 or 4. Future does not look and with klopp at Liverpool and building somethimg scarily good,, they are the second best team in England at the moment. Both rivals above us makes me sick. I honestky am losing the passion to watch football under Jose. I really want him gone.

His second season didn't bring us the title so I think it's safe to say the curse or pattern is broken.

My only qualm is if the board feel like second and maybe the FA Cup are good enough. That's when we're screwed.

More discontent, not everyone is going to be satisfied with the window. Not enough changes, a big player leaving? There will be progress and a challenge for the league but football style will only slightly improve. Jose will moan and call out more players, fans will accept it until the next Brighton occurs and people want change in football and him gone. Completely turn on him if the league or CL isn't achieved, hence next April. Club and fanbase split on what to do and what needs to be done. A very ununited club possibly unless Jose grinds out a big trophy. The shit football complaint will disappear. Everyone wants the league or CL to get us truly back on track as a club.

It's a very uncertain future under Jose. The only thing I'm sure about is that I don't look forward to games like I used to. I know I'll be happy and ready for the new season when it arrives. I just want more passion, risk and belief from the team and manager. It would be nice to see an atmosphere at Old Trafford. Been disappointing this year, rather watch it in the pub with other supporters. At least they know the team, song's and have a pulse. Like a morgue the last few times. In general I hope better player's will improve the football and wake the support up, grumpy Jose cheers up and gets down to it next year.

PL: Title challenge. Don't mind if we lose in last month but no giving up on league by new year.

CL: Minimum of semis, under normal circumstances. Can lose out earlier if we are terribly unlucky to get the UCL would be finalists too early

He'll have a massive fall out and get sacked
This is what I'm hoping for. Not looking forward to next season at all but the possibility that it'll be José's final year here is nice. I fear it won't be, though, as we, as a club, wait for the worst case scenario to make changes even when the problems are obvious.

Jose will not win the Prem. Nor he will reach the final of CL. He will bring in new players this summer, Martial will leave, Fellaini will stink the place up if he stays (hopefully sold), and we will be again moaning about style of play. Unfortunately, I expect City to walk the league again and do better in CL.

The expectation should be to win the premier league.

Howevwe, I see us finishing 3rd while reaching the CL quarters. No great shakes. People will get fed up of Jose and he'll blame everyone because he isn't able to match Pep (and possibly Klopp).

More points in the league. Push towards 90.
Progress further in the CL.

My opinion.

Expectation:

- Title challenge, if we don't win the league then at the very least we must finish within 6 points of the champions.
- Champions league quarter finals, but going out in the round of 16 is acceptable if we just get unlucky and draw a very strong team in that round, eg. Real Madrid. In the same vein if we get to the quarters and draw a team like Porto, Sevilla, Shakhtar or Besiktas, I'd expect us to get the the champions league semis.
- Decent showing in other competitions, whatever will be will be, the main focus is on the premier league and champions league.

I don't expect us to have a cursed third season because we didn't have a title-winning second season. The trend is already broken, Jose is building in a slightly longer term manner of thought at United than he has done at previous clubs.

Dressing room bust-up by December. Mourinho out on his ear, or drags us to another extremely bland top 4 finish with a trophy nobody really cares about but hey, Mourinho wins more silverware!

Absolutely noting to suggest anything different to this season. Probably grind out enough points to finish top 4, but nowhere near a title challenge or do anything in Europe. Probably overtaken in the league by Liverpool and we will finish 3rd, luckily because the rest of the league is crap!

I don't care if we finish 4th and win nothing, I just want to look forward to seeing United play again. For the team to show some effort and give it a go.

I'm sick of losing games we should be dominating just because we keep showing teams like Brighton and WBA absolute respect, keeping all our men behind the ball.

I'm expecting a similar season. I expect being bored and not looking forward to our games. Maybe this is as good as it'll ever get for Manchester United now. I don't know. It's really, really difficult to find anything to be particularly optimistic about.

The best football on the planet and win the PL and CL, possibly La Liga too. Anything less and Jose is an unmitigated failure.

Fully expecting an uneventful season. Probably will get top 4 and a domestic cup maybe, at least quarter finals of the champions league I hope. At any rate, if he doesn't mount a serious challenge for the league and failing that a strong champions league showing then he can feck off.

League: 4th
CL: QF with Jose going for a 0-0 away and paying the price at home
League Cup: Win (if the teams still playing for him by then)

I think we're already pretty much at our ceiling with Mourinho, as depressing as that sounds. His second season is usually the one where he delivers and even if we win our last two games we'd have only eeked out more points than one winner in the last 7 seasons (Leicester - who had a low points tally of 81 themselves). It pretty much puts to bed the myth that if City hadn't had such an exceptional season, we'd be at the required standard to win it.

As for next year, more of the same probably. I expect a slightly better Champions League campaign (probably knocked out around the quarters) and a so-so league campaign which places us between 2nd and 4th, with Mourinho walking or being pushed at the end of it - that's of course assuming he doesn't press the self-destruct button before then.

There's also the very real possibility of him selling some of our most exciting players in favour of glorified water carriers, which in all honesty is what I'm most fearful of. If he's going to have his third season collapse, fine, but I really hope he leaves the next manager something to work with.

Hard to predict before knowing anything about who is going to leave and who is going to come. A great transfer summer can change a lot. But the likes of Madrid, Bayern, and other big clubs will be very active this summer and it may prove difficult to secure game-changing players.

We should seriously challenge for the league and have a respectable show in the CL.

I expect we get a top four finish and maybe a minor cup if we get lucky.

I suspect if we start the season trailing the likes of City/Pool and probably Chelsea if they get Sarri, he'll start getting bitchy. It will get worse as he won't have any excuses, as I expect he'll get his way and get his Fellaini type players in and those types of players won't be winning the league coupled with Mourinho's outdated methods.

As the pressure grows, he'll even start throwing some of his current faves under the bus. He'll then lose all the players and most of the fans if he continues with his negative style. The atmosphere gets so toxic, the board will have no choice but to sack him in the middle of the season, with Carrick left as caretaker.

As I say over and over, he ain't for changing. It's a huge risk continuing with him especially when everyone knows about his usual 3rd season breakdown.

In short, it's hard to think of anything positive happening next season, when you have such a personality in charge imo.

Under Mourinho?

Complete capitulation, a falling out with all and sundry and an acrimonious exit, ya' know, like the last 15 or so years.

Expectation: PL Winners and CL quarter final
Realistic Prediction: 3rd in the PL (with Liverpool taking 2nd and City first)

The only way we have a chance of the expectation is if we get in two actual fullbacks and get rid of the afro'd one (i'm not against his use as a battering ram, but i am against him being used in central midfield because he's in the squad, a place which could be taken up by a much more well rounded midfielder). Despite Jose saying we don't need any more attackers, we're crying out for a right sided attacking player, Mata simply isn't suited/good enough for that position and anyone else playing there is make-shift.

This is 100% true. Jose has his favourites which is pissing off. He wants to save his reputation and doesn't care about United.

Clearly. The problem is this will surely cause a divide in the dressing room.
I just can't believe the club is letting him get away with his toxicity. Unbelievable judgment from the board not to step in or get rid.

Hard to justify when we are second and have a final coming up though. Hopefully something is done over the summer and someone tells him to stop his bitching.

I think it's justified irrespective of league position as it's a crucial part of management. Do we wait until the middle of next season to address this? He's like a volcano, you don't know when he'll erupt. Imagine this happening in the middle of next season after he's spent loads of money again? It would be another year lost. It's our club, there should be parameters in place where he can't overstep the mark.

I don't disagree, and am sure the higher ups are more than aware. But it's a big risk stepping in now and causing an issue when we still have the fa cup to play for.

Oh I see what you mean about the FA Cup. Okay.
As long as they do something as the final whistle goes:lol: LVG knew he was sacked straight after, so I suppose the club has form..:D

In terms of expectations, anything less than a proper title challenge in his third year will mean Mourinho has been a failure.

Will we actually get that title challenge? Depends what we do in the summer I guess. Big improvements are needed though.

4 players might not fix it, but it would certainly help if they were the right players.

I think we need to make the Team and Squad better, and I hope he adds youth to both. We need mobility and leadership combined. Our midfield certainly needs addressing, with a playmaker who can carry the ball and score and assist in goals.

Both full back positions need to be addressed and a CB who can command that area. We also need a RW who can run to the byline and cross a ball properly.

Maybe we have one or two who can move up like Pereira/Gomes and Fosu/Reilly. I also think that a couple of Youths should be moved up to the squad, at least. Chang for wide position, and a Midfielder. We are far too slow in our build up play and getting caught out with so called wingers/full backs pulling the ball back, and not able to cross.

And for plan B, Noooh, this is not the United way, hoofing the ball for big Fellaini (get Rid), Sunday league football.

Players I would like to see coming in are Savic and Fred for Midfield. Sandro for LB and maybe use Fosu as RB. The CB I like is Maguire as he has Premiership experience and is a big strong lad with leadership qualities. This is just my Opinion.

2nd or 3rd in the league, City to win it again. I think we'll do well in the cups, we'll win a domestic cup and make it to the semis of the CL.
I don't expect the football to improve.
