Sort of like a wake. My mother was cremated when she passed back in January. She didn't want a conventional wake/viewing so we opted to have a life celebration party at my house in May.
That sounds like more fun than a wake. At first I thought you were talking about some kind of party for an old person who was still alive.

I can't stop thinking about the lack of momentum we've got coming into this game. Jose should have ensured we came into this game on a high, get Chelsea worried about us. As it stands, Chelsea aren't going to be too worried, in my opinion.

They drew with Huddersfield after badly needing a win. They then got hammered by Newcastle and didn't look half arsed.
Fans I know are really pissed off with Conte( who appears to be leaving) and the team right now. Maybe we haven't looked as convincing of late;we have fielded slightly weaker teams but I wouldn't say on that evidence that there's any more momentum with Chelsea than us.

People said similar things too when we faced them at Old Trafford few months ago, that Chelsea are on better momentum than us despite them just drawing to Barca at the Bridge 1-1 which was a very disappointing result.

Shame that the FA Cup is no longer the great competition it once was.I'll never forget the almost unbearable despair of losing to Southampton in 76 and the sheer joy of beating Liverpool in 77.We stopped the scousers doing the treble 22 years before we did it.

    Think we'll do it.

For one off big games Jose is still one of the best in business and he'll have a real bee in his bonnet about beating Chelsea.

Also, Chelsea haven't looked all that this season, playing for a manager whose been slowly planning his escape from Stamford Bridge using Tim Robbins as an inspiration.

    2-0

    I’m never confident playing Chelsea.

Even after their 3-0 loss to Newcastle.

Both managers to setup to counter attack only to find out that the 'attack' from the other team is never coming. 0-0 borefest stalemate for 90 mins and even more boring extra time.
Then to be decided on penalties. 4-2 loss for us on penalties.

Jose on post match: 'We had total control without the ball and they couldnot create chances for the whole game.'

Wouldn't mind if this goes to pens. We have been atrocious at taking pens in recent years, about time we acquired some real time experience on how to win a shoot-out.

Oh, they better win this one, or I will be very very very sad. Packing my bags and on my way to London. Buzzing. Got ticket for the game. My first United game live. About freaking time. Come on United.

Really important that Lukaku is fit. When are the press conferences?

Lingard can feck right off from the starting line up (unless he scores then I'll edit this post ).

Yeah, it’s a shame Jose can’t bend space and time. Does he even lift wormholes?

Ill go 1-1 with us winning on pens. I think we need Chelsea to score first so we carry the game to them and have an half decent (by the 2 teams standards) game. If we scored first Mourinho would park the bus all 2nd half.
It sounds bad, but I do actually agree with you.
If CFC score late in the game, and it goes 1-0 against us, we are screwed.
But, if CFC score early, 1-0 against us, I am confident that we will come out of our shell and win the game from there.
It is unfortunate that Jose has not yet been able to solve the problem of us needing to go 1-2 goals down, before we start "playing".

I'm a little tensed about this game. We are definitely favourites but not by much. We need to be on the front foot and take the initiative instead of sitting back like we usually do.
Unless CFC are leading, I don't see us playing on the front foot.
Given the importance of this one match, I believe Jose will aim for 1-0 and will ask his players to remain disciplined. Discipline will be the most important aspect of Jose's game plan.

Cup finals should first and foremost be enjoyed without any consideration of the big picture. If you don’t wake up and make a day of it and absolutely want nothing more than to win it, what’s the point of following football?

There’s an incredibly frustrating apathy to what for some fans in the not distance past was the biggest day of the year, yes blah blah blah times have changed but it’s still the fa cup, the one cantons beat Liverpool in, Yorke and solskajer scored late to knock out pool, giggs ripped arsenal a new one and we had painful losses that still ranckle like 05 and 07.

Bigger picture, I see winning it as an important stepping stone in building on last years trophies. A loss to end the season would be rubbish, a third trophy in 12 months would be confidence building

Why isn’t Pogba with the squad down in London? He put up a video just over an hour ago him having a kick about in that PP arena of his at his home.

He is on the list of players in the squad though...

Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata,

    Edit: As reported by @el3mel .. :)

Is this is the most underwhelming build-up to a FA Cup final ever?

3 pages on here before the biggest game of our season

Why are we not excited by this?

Unfortunately greed has spoilt things. All people care about is the money the PL and CL bring in. There was a real romance about winning the F.A. Cup.
