Wasn't a good season but today wasn't on him some players let him down.

I feel he's just about earned the right to have another year. Next season is make or break for him.

I can't believe this guy has the nerve to criticise Chelsea for parking the bus and as he put it, just playing long balls to Giroud. He does this in every single game v a top team. He does it at Anfield every season irrespective of form.

That kind of objectivity isn't allowed in this thread.

If you have watched us this season, we only did that at Anfield. So maybe he does have a point.

We are a weird team. We play like shite but we don't exactly park the bus either. Its' like a broken down jalopy that sputters into life with a few sparks sometimes but is content on just rolling without gas at times.

I'm obviously disappointed that we lost the final, but after the emotions fade, I'm just glad the seasons over. Now is Jose's time to manage the squad. He has trusted too many players that have let him down. This summer he must be ruthless. Let's see just how 'pragmatic' he really is.

No excuses next season. If we can't take corners, it's on him. If Smalling and Jones are our CB pairing and making mistakes, it's on him. If we have converted wingers as FBs and it's hurting our defence, it's on him.

I'm not suggesting he has to get the whole squad perfect, but we're now 2 years into Jose's tenure and we don't know our best XI, and we still don't know where Pogba is best utilised. We can't afford to spend part of next season working this out. We surely have to hit the ground running if we're going to seriously challenge City.

Next season we must see a serious title challenge, and a much improved performance in the CL - minimum. Maybe that's being too lenient. It's hard to tell just how much of our problems are down to the players, and how much is due to Mourinho's tactics/coaching. I'm giving Jose the benefit of the doubt, but when so many key players are underperforming...

Football is much more dynamic now than when Jose was at his best. The team doesn't look fit enough, the movement isn't great. I think that we have overachieved in the league this season. This team isn't 81 pts good.

So I've been trying to rack my head about this because I'm standing as a voter for the 'major rebuild' option.

But I'm now of the simple opinion, we will never win the PL with Jose. We may do after he has gone because of the players he brings in (similar to Real) but as long as he's the man in charge of them we won't get close to City and, dare I say it, even Liverpool if they get some consistency about them.

I hope he leaves soon. There's nothing positive to say anymore. He will point to 2nd but it might as well have been 4th. The season is a failure.
19 points behind City, but 24 points behind Chelsea last year.

League Cup one is a fair point, still the league cup though.

Lost to Sevilla when we shouldn't have, but last year we weren't even in the Champions League.

No FA Cup trophy, but last year we only made it to the quarter finals.

Last one is fair enough, we aren't as entertaining as we could/should be.

This. The players were fecking pathetic. An inability to find a bloke in a red shirt 8 yards away isn't on the manager. I didn't want Mourinho and wouldn't lose sleep if he went tomorrow, but some of this squad are getting away with footballing murder.

Been a while( like 3 months) I have watched us play and decided to see the final, alas it was another bore fest. In my opinion I think he cant take us any futher and he is out of ideas.
Is time to get rid, there is no upside really to keep him. All logic points to stagnation.

He’s long past it and his methods are actually an insult to our history.

Do you know what? I think I'd get rid actually. We've had so much upheaval in recent years, and I like the degree of stability we now have, but I can't be arsed to watch us play football next season.

I'd get rid and bring in somebody a little left field. That bloke at Napoli, maybe. Or just somebody that is known for getting their teams to really go for it.

Moyes, Van Gaal and now Mourinho have been the same. Dull as dishwater. I'm at the point now where I just want somebody to come in and go a bit gung ho. The United Way - and I laughed at this phrase come to think.

Most of them came before or after him apart from Modric. Isco, Bale, Kroos & Carvajal came after him. Ramos, Ronaldo, Marcelo, Pepe, Benzema came after.

Modric & Di Maria were signed by him, but went up a level for Madrid after he left. I know they've won 3 in the last 4, but considering the level of that squad they wasted 3 years on Mourinho.

If you want to prove a point how clueless we are in attack, today's game is definitely not the best example. We played well in second half and created more than enough chances to score an equaliser playing against 11 men behind the ball.
We really didn't. A load of half chances but no clear cut ones. Lots of missed chances from corners after general pressure exerted but thats hardly good enough. With the amount of possession we had we should have done so much better.

I don't understand why any of you lot would still want him in charge, it's not like you are Spurs with a limited budget, you don't have to accept this shit football given your budget and the size of your club.

Gutted Tuchel took the PSG job, was really hoping they'd tempt him away.

And now we're stuck with his tumescent football for another season, ugh. Hopefully he pisses off the board this post season and gets the boot.

Today wasn't our worst performance for sure, we played ok at times, but Jose football is only worth it if we win, so this season he's failed, I haven't really enjoyed much of it at all.

We have a good squad, we have a good enough squad to compete in every tournament and that in attacking football type of way but we dont have an attacking strategy/plan, its up to players to come up with something.
Instead we have a coward on our bench, who want the team to be on our own half waiting for opponent to attack, our football Is slow and boring.

Mourinho slates our young players openly, does not give them a fair chance to compete, let out of form players(Sanchez) start game after game even though they are bad.
im fed up.
I love to watch other leagues and there is good coaches in every single one of them in lesser teams that have the right mindset, love Lucien Favre at nice who did well at mönchegladbach minus his last season there ), He develops young players and make teams play attractive, good at finding unknown players and make them into very good players.
I dont want to see this dross and definitely does not want see Mourinho spend a huge amount of money only for us to play the same rubbish.

It’s our football heritage to lose FA cup finals. You lot are being too hard on poor underprivileged Jose.

You are missing the point. you only get half chances when you are a goal down against a team defending for their life. We did well in the second half. Pity Pogba did not get that header on target.

In a couple of weeks, I wouldn't be able to recall the majority of this season. Absolutely forgettable.

That’s what I’m saying. Put the ball into the bloody box! Don’t chip it from a cute angle at the end of the match.
It wasnt a chip. He even gestured that he tried to cross. Whilst he didnt play bad, I dont think he was even needed, our football was fine before he came on. That said, I hope he stays, has to a lot offer and learn.

That's not missing the point. We played into Chelsea's hands the entire game. They ceded possession to us and backed their defence to not concede clear cut chances and it worked.

Mourinho must take so much blame from this farce.

Taking something from that Pep MNF segment...If Plan A is properly drilled and developed in training, all you do is make minor adjustments. Mourinho's Plan A with regards to attacking is just trash so he's always reverting to the Fellani option. He's concerned with neutralizing the opponent's strengths at the excruciating expense of everything going forward. It doesn't even matter the calibre of team.

If we had scored first, we would have done exactly what chelsea did when they scored. And they would have been restricted to half chances.

Seems like Mourinho has thrown a small dig at Lukaku for saying he wasn't ready to play.

Probably just about gets another season, but it feels inevitable that next season will be his last. I hope Poch replaces him.

He needs another Summer and another season IMO.

But he really needs to find a direction, he still doesn't know his best team or how to play Pogba.

Agreed, replacing him with a serial bottler Poch is a very good idea, why even wait, let's do this today like we did with LVG.

Plays much better football. Think he'd be a great match for us. With the budget we have, I think he'd be able to do great. Mourinho has spent a shedload of money and while he may have improved us, it's not been significant.

But we didn't.

And we couldn't open them up. Like we haven't been able to do over and over again this season.

Saying we missed Fellaini and Lukaku's 'presence'. Yet his fan boys think Pep is playing better football because of money
