Has anyone seen No Offence? It's on Sky boxsets and 4od (I think)

Just seen the first season, thought it was great. Surprised I'd never heard of it before.

It's a fly on the wall police drama created by Paul Abbott (Shameless). It's got quite a dark, grippy story but also has some laughs along the way.

Try 'Colony' a good sci-fi show, not a pretentious suckfest like Westworld.
Colony is watchable but you have seen it all before. Westworld is a far more interesting and complex program but, particularly season 2, requires quite an time/brain investment to really enjoy it.

it's better than Fargo imo. Not sure I see too many similarities beyond them both being set in remote (is that the right word for Halifax?) areas. Fargo is far more of a dark comedy than Happy Valley and the characters tend to be intentionally over the top whereas Happy Valley seems a very accurate representation of the area.

Superb show, though. Along with Line of Duty it's the best British drama in many a year.
Fargo and Happy Valley are completely different shows. Both good and well worth watching. The later is still just a fairly run of the mill cop in a small time detective thing with Fargo being far more black comedy with various out of left field moments.

Line of Duty is also a decent if unadventurous British cop show. The next series must be due soon.

Just finished watching The Bridge. Loved it. I'm normally not really a fan of shows in a language I don't understand, but once I get used to it, it didn't really bother me.
Ok, now you've passed that hurdle, watch Gomorra.

It's incredibly good.

Goliath took me an episode or two to really get into but now I am binge watching it. Nearly through both seasons. Not ground breaking but BBT is great in this role.

Line of Duty is just brilliant, Adrian Dunbar at his very best.

Saw the first episode between the matches yesterday. Being Indian, and from Mumbai, i very much liked it and it has an excellent actor in Nawazuddin Siddique. Not sure how good the subtitles are though
It's on Netflix so should be okay. I saw a download for series one. I might try it.

Smashing Hits: the 80s pop map of Britain and Ireland
Two 80s icons explore the distinct sounds that came out of different parts of Britain and Ireland in one of pop's golden decades.

Midge Ure, lead singer of Ultravox and one of the men behind Band Aid, and Kim Appleby, who had a string of hits with her sister Mel in the Stock, Aitken and Waterman-produced band Mel and Kim, go on a journey back in time to the 80s to figure out why certain cities produced their own diverse tunes.

It's a fascinating tale. Emerging from the ashes of punk, British and Irish music ripped up the pop rule book in the 80s and topped the charts worldwide. But there was no definitive 'British' pop sound. Innovative chart-toppers were being produced by artists hailing from all over the UK and Ireland.

In this first episode, Midge Ure and Kim Appleby explore London's new romantic movement, travel to Coventry to investigate the rise of ska and speak to some of Sheffield's electronic music pioneers.

The show features interviews with key figures, like Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet, Marco Pirroni from Adam and the Ants, Pauline Black from The Selecter, Martin Ware and Glenn Gregory from Heaven 17 and 'super-producer' Trevor Horn. But of course the star is the music - and this episode includes some of the best tunes, videos and performances from the early part of this marvellous musical decade.

I've finished Killing Eve. Great show, some terrific performances and very funny. The ending was little...abrupt. Didn't feel like an ending at all really. I was searching for another episode for a while, just 'cause i wasn't aware that that was the last episode of the season. Just didn't feel like it.

Great season though.

Was thinking of starting Patrick Melrose next

Yah, shouldn't be too much of a wait for us either given we've watched it fairly late.

@SwansonsTache - Is 12Monkeys really worth getting into? I loved the film.
Hell yes!

It may seem confusing at first, but when you get into it I'd put it up against any SciFi show out there.

They should have done Firefly when the cast was still up for it. Now every 2 bit sci-fi show in the last 10 years has stolen its beats, without coming close to its charm.

Loved Buffy at the time, it was just plain fun, with plenty of sass, cheese, relatable characters and beautiful girls for the teenage boys like myself to focus on. Whedon had a soft touch at the time with the social commentary, at least compared to contemporary standards, it was there but it wasn't the prime focus of the show. Not sure why they need a complete reboot, other than brand recognition.

Just finished Cracking the Shakespeare Code (trailer) and enjoyed it. Still not entirely sure if the guy featured is really quite brilliant or simply insane, but it was very interesting. All three parts are on YouTube!
