France V England for me but I would be very worried for our hopes of winning it against France.

France v England

Pogba to do something to get the English media all riled up and step it up like Ronaldo did post 2006.

When did you make the prediction?

And thanks for the offer, I'm good ta.
My memory is a bit hazy on this.

I do remember I've bought 5 lottery tickets in my life and failed to get a single number. I put money on Ronaldo to score in the Euro 16 final. The horse I bet on in the 2014 Grand National failed to start.

Unfortunately I've predicted England to win the damn thing on the forum poll- so you'll know who to blame (Sterling)

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Belgium v England.

They were immense against Brazil. Well drilled, big and powerful, skillful and consistent.

Hopefully England can keep on this momentum train, we're not even playing that well but our team spirit and calmness is carrying us through.

Would be hilarious if Fellaini or Pogba scored the winner in the World Cup final considering the abuse they have received from the press.

If we reach the World Cup final, I'm not sure I'll be able to watch through fear.
What's the fear for? England would have done extremely well to reach that stage and, win or lose, can be very proud of their efforts. I would watch it with fun and glee.

France vs England, the French winning 2-1 inside the 90mins. Kane for England, Mbappe and Griezmann for France, both of those goals coming late in the game.

I honestly think that if England get to the final, that they will win it...

I've looked deep into my crystal ball and

Semi Final 1.

France take an early lead but some indiscipline at the back gives Belgium a penalty / sending off and Belgium equalise. Didier Deschamps makes some changes late in the game with a view to extra time but Belgium throw everything at them to get a potentially winning goal. With time running out there is a massively contentious VAR issue that does not go the way France want and game descends into a barrage of yellow cards and brawls.
(Belgium 2 - 1 France)

Semi Final 2

Croatia sneak an early lead. 1-0 and England look to be rocking. However they hold out until half time. England score early in the second half and Croatia start to fade. Around 75 minutes England are denied a penalty because of VAR or a Croatian player should be sent off but isn't.

The game goes into extra time and becomes extremely cagey. Rashford comes on and Croatia nearly score but England go up the other end and grab a late winner.
(England 2 - 1 Croatia, AET)

3rd/4th place play-off

France's second string players given an outing and they dominate possession over a clearly exhausted Croatia. They race into a 3 goal lead. Croatia pull a consolation goal back but France finish with a flourish and grab a 4th
(France 4-1 Croatia)

Final

Tense First half nil nil.
Second half - England sneak a goal from a corner at start of second half but then gradually try and defend lead.

Belgium begin to dominate possession and score 2 quick goals. England try and get an equaliser and hit the post but Belgium eventually break free and score a third goal - breaking England hearts -
(Belgium 3 - 1 England)

Hmm, how did you feel in the final of 2014?
It was different for Germany because they had been so close to winning trophies in previous tournaments and there was a lot of pressure on that generation to fulfill their potential and win. For England, there weren't any expectations in the lead-up to the tournament, nor any going into the final really. Whatever the result, England should be happy about their performances.

Well now we know

France v Croatia.

Very interesting because of the differing views and possible finals that posters put forward.

Commiserations to the other 6. . . .Now let's enjoy the final.
