Manager situation is a shambles. Sarri needs to join ASAP.

Surprisingly in the summer where we havn't sorted the manager situation which were normally very quick at doing, we seem to be linked with our best targets for a few years.

I think 2 of Golovin, Jorghinho or Seri will most likely join, all 3 are great options.

Most likely will just get a Right Winger to go on the other side from Eden and rumours are Rugani from Juventus who would be great.

This delay in firing Conte and hiring a new manager makes me think that Chelsea actually wants one of the WC semi-finalist managers. Southgate to Chelsea?

I'm in disbelief Conte is still there. He'd prefer to be fired for the money but I thought for sure if he wasn't fired by now then he'd just walk and wash his hands of it... but he's still there despite quite obviously not wanting to be there?

Is he returning to pre-season to half arse it and pick up a pay cheque smiling?

It's 9 million quid if he gets fired. He'd be an idiot to walk.

Seems like Seri is going to Fulham. That came out of nowhere.

No one would walk away from heavy compo unless there's a bigger picture (ala, if Jose took his full compo in 2015 he wouldn't have been allowed to join United for quite a while).

As much as I'd like Chelsea to get weakened and as annoying as it is to play the little scrote, I hope Chelsea don't sell Hazard to Madrid. Madrid are a bunch of overentitled wankstains thinking they can sign whoever they want and I'd like to see clubs just say no to them.

@duffer what do you make of the entire process?
Been a bit too caught up with the fact that it's coming home to be really annoyed but it's a shitshow for sure.

I do think we'll start the season with Sarri in charge and Hazard in the side.

I've also got no problem with Conte staying, provides he gets backed by Roman to sell/sign who he wants. Conte staying with a load on unhappy players is the worst case scenario.

Di Marzio is saying Sarri+Jorginho is happening tomorrow
Rugani also done deal. Probably Golovin too. Now let's see if it's Tibo or Alisson I don't really care. And then we just need new RW instead of Willian to fight for title.

It appears, Golovin, Jorghino & Rugani will be completed.

Considering some of the Sh*T we have signed recently this is quite remarkable.

I am really confused as to our RW situation as I'm not sure who we would get. Leon Bailey would be ideal, Willian has fought for us over the years but I feel he has been really disrespectful recently regardless of Conte.

He is a great player on his day, but is potentially the most inconsistent and frustrating player we have in our squad, so I would not be against replacing him.

Not sure how true it is but Higuian appears to be coming with, so I don't understand which striker is leaving in this situation as surely we wont have 4.

Play on words of an Elton John song

Edit:

As I listen to the song, I realise the lyrics are perfect for Chelsea's current situation especially when read from Conte's perspective.

What have I got to do to make you want me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I say when it's all over?
And Sarri seems to be the hardest word

It's sad, so sad (so sad)
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad (so sad)
Why can't we talk it over?
Oh it seems to me
That Sarri seems to be the hardest word

Very strong squad, I think Willian might perhaps be sold and somebody else comes in, but good to see after last years disaster we are looking to make the correct changes.

Strong in terms of numbers, certainly not in quality

Most likely starting XI including a few spaces up for debate;

Tibo/Allison

Azpi/ - Rudiger - Rugani - Emerson

Kante

Jorghinho Golovin

Willian Morata Hazard

Bench - Moses, D Luiz, Christensen, Alonso, Bakayoko, Fabregas, Barkley, Pedro , Giroud, Batshuayi

Looks pretty strong to me tbf, not including any other transfers that are included and the fact Loftus Cheek is also coming back to us

I almost don't want them to appoint him just so I can leave the thread title as it is!

Would be very very surprised if Morata was sold and if he is, it looks like it will definitely be Higuain to replace him. So wouldn't place that as us being any worse off.

Hazard is likely to sign a new contract or at the very least next season, he asked for a better style of play and ambition in the market with Sarri/Jorghino saga its a good start for both.

Courtouis,, class goalkeeper but his actions over the last 2 years have left a lot of fans with a fairly bitter taste. Respectable Chelsea journo's are sure it will be Allison that replaces him, again wouldn't say we would be any worse off.

Willian, will very likely leave as I stated earlier in this thread I'm not sure who we would replace him with and Leon Bailey seems to be the best link. Not too worried about this at all.

He'll make them the best side to watch in Europe, I imagine. Not sure he'll win a whole lot (given the competition), but Chelsea will be easy on the eye for the next few years, which should keep most of their fans reasonably happy.

Watch some of our fickle fans start acting like City fans now, gassing us up beyond belief and talking about us playing the bestest football in the land and winning Europa, the PL, Champions league etc, it always happens. It's going to be cringey. I love that Sarri is here, but people start going OTT.

This makes me sad. It's a wrong decision long-term, but who cares about the long-term at Chelsea, eh?

Wait. You're telling us bunch of City fans ain't former Chelsea fans?

Interesting where Conte would go from here. Lost bunch of time to prepare for new season at new club. Taking over a struggling club mid season never ideal situation either. Any NTs that need a new coach?

Season goal has to be top 4 and a trophy, I'd like to see us win the Europa again. We should be one of the best teams, Atletico were in last year but that is pretty unusual.

Would be good for the squad and manager to all get along for a change too.

Will be great if Zola is in the backroom team as well.

I'm sure the football you'll play will soothe the pain. Sigh

Terrible. Just terrible. "Best side to watch". "Easy on the eye". Sounds like an Arsenal manager to me.
