Yeah, surely this (CR7-Juve) means he’s staying and any ambitions we had of signing him this window are done.

You can keep Bale. We have Alexis Sanchez who is a fantastic player. People keep forgetting how good he was at Arsenal and how little time he has had at United.

What does this change unless he thinks Madrid won't sign a replacement?
He'll still be on the bench a lot of times to give Isco and Asenssio (feck the spelling) game time.

AS claimed a planned meeting between Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett and the club's hierarchy had been cancelled, but ESPN FC has been told that the report is "wrong" and that a meeting will still take place.

Don't get the line of thinking that he won't be sold now that Ronaldo is gone? Ronaldo will be replaced by a shiny shiny toy or two.
But will that shiny shiny toy be better than Bale? Not many out there who are...

Why is this dead in the water? Real WILL replace Ronaldo. Lopetegui WILL play Isco. Benzema will start or he will be replaced with a striker. Asensio is also a favourite of Lopetegui. Bale if anything will ne determined to leave even more. A new era incoming at Real, Bale is part of their past.

Bale just isn't that keen on us.

Whatever little chance/hope there was of this before Ronaldo moving is less than nothing now.

Madrid arguably dont need more cash and a weaker line up and not likely to be signing Neymar/Mbappe anyway.

And he's on the cusp where certain players might start slowing down, losing a step and every performance he put in for us since he signed (bar the City game where he was good) suggested that's exactly what's happening.

One could argue Arsenal sold him at the exact right time until he shows otherwise.

Talks over a transfer have reached an advanced stage - but Bale will have the ultimate say on whether he heads to Old Trafford.
Hmm, surely that's all Bale needs to know. If we're negotiating, a logical conclusion would be: Bale is for sale at the right price, therefore; expendable.

Still holding out on a very slim hope that we sign Bale. Would completely transform us. Even if it is only for 25 games a season.

Robson is a City reporter, not someone I'll trust him much.
He's generally a good reporter though, and if I remember rightly he's not really a bullshitter.

He has been good when it comes to City news, not sure about United though, same for Luckhurst in the opposite direction.

Transfer is at an "advanced stage", yet there's no mention of the fee being agreed. It says Bale still has to talk to the Real manager and Bale has yet to decide on the move...:houllier:

If Madrid had any sense they would sell him during this transfer window.
He will never have more value than now to them due to his Champions League final performance.

As good as he is, he spends about half the season injured and cannot be depended on.

Muppets and dignity! Those are 2 words that shouldn't be in the same sentence.
He didn't. There was no use of the word Muppet in his sentences. :p
You know what I meant, u Freak ;) but point taken, Sir! :D
While I posted this on here, in truth, I was talking to myself.
But yeah, muppets can't have dignity, just blind hope, vaseline and an endless supply of tissue.

This is my view, too, and I think we’d likely be able to persuade them with a big offer. All they need to do is tell Bale he’s not getting a game for them and he’ll be off.

It would be brilliant from Real Madrid to get £200m from Ronaldo and Bale.

They could get Neymar or Mbappe with that, with some left over
