Hopefully Matic will play some part of the game. Also, Fred has arrived in the States.
Christ, i almost forgot about him. Hopefully get some game time out there. Can't wait to see him in action.

Fred and De Gea joined up with the squad today.

Dalot has started training.

Obviously too soon for tomorrow’s game, but good news.

Man Utd to lose 1-0. Jose to complain. Caf outrage causes datacentre to overheat and blow up.

Matic picked up injury during training. I am afraid he might not even start for Leicester City game? Anyway, I hope to see Fred playing some minutes.

My hopes for this game are...

Pereira to keep stepping up at the base of midfield.
First teamers just returning to get some minutes under their belt.
Sanchez to look as menacing as last game
No defensive errors

I'd also like to see us continue with the high press we used at times against Milan. Although, Liverpool probably isn't the side you should be doing it against.

So Karius has suddenly got himself a knee-concussion ahead of the game against United. I don't doubt he feels bad about his knee

Unless you win of course!

Also, Ann Arbor sounds like one of those generic attractive but soulless Fox News ladies "up next, Ann Arbor tells you why Hilary Clinton is actually a Mexican socialist".
Except Ann Arbor is a cool city and probably as left a town as you re going to find (to a fault perhaps)

Ramos did it...
Believe it or not, Klopp is still going on about it...

“I’m not sure it is an experience we will have again – go there and put an elbow to the goalkeeper, put their goalscorer down like a wrestler in midfield and then you win the game. That was the story of the game. Ramos said a lot of things afterwards that I didn’t like. As a person I didn’t like the reactions of him. He was like: ‘Whatever, what do they want? It’s normal.’ No, it is not normal. If you put all of the situations of Ramos together then you will see a lot of situations with Ramos. The year before against Juve he was responsible for the red card for [Juan] Cuadrado. Nobody talks about that afterwards. It is like we, the world out there, accepts that you use each weapon to win the game. People probably expect that I am the same. I am not.”
He added: “We are aggressive but I always use the word ‘legal as well’. Usually if you try something you will get punished. Someone will see it and ban you for four or five weeks. But in this example, no one. This ref should have had the courage to decide that game. In this situation we didn’t get it and, if you write this, people will say I am weak or a bad loser or a whiner. I am not. I accept it. It’s not like I wake up in the morning and think: ‘Ramos!’

“In a final you need to have a bit of luck and we didn’t have it. They had luck in different situations and we didn’t. They scored a bicycle kick, come on! We all know [Gareth] Bale can do that but he probably put more balls from that situation in the stands than in the goal. If that’s not luck then I don’t know what is. Then the situation around Loris.”

Klopp knew Liverpool would be accused of making excuses for defeat by disclosing Karius tested positive for concussionseveral days after the final but insisted the club had no option but to make the diagnosis public. However, he confirmed, also for the first time, that Liverpool would have pursued the £65m deal for Alisson irrespective of Karius’s display in Kiev.

Liverpool inquired about the Brazil international in January and Klopp added: “We didn’t use the concussion as an excuse for one second but how can we not put it out as an explanation? The problem is only now that people still don’t believe it, and then we bring in a new goalkeeper and people think we don’t believe it as well, which is not true.
He really is excuse central

Both the Caf and RAWK will react the same either way.

If we win, both us and them will put it down as the meaningless friendly that it is. If they win, we will overreact massively about how it shows how crap we are and how it’s such an example of their imminent superiority over us, and so will they.

The liverpool team is expected to be much stronger than ours. Of course they are likely to win. Result means very little. Performance means more. Some of our lads need to show Jose they can make it.

Anyone who does is an idiot. Liverpool have got near enough a full strength side bar Alisson, Lovren and Firmino while we're missing a big chunk of our team and Liverpool have played loads more preseason games so are fitter anyway.

For the gamblers, the 'easy' money is on Liverpool tonight.

Any news on if Fred gets some game time or starts tonight? Nearing the end of the pre-season tour, so, I'd imagine Mou would be in a hurry to get him up to speed for the new season.

Nah, this place is more insecure than RAWK.
They'll call it a corrupt friendly and by the spirit of all that is Scouse they'll step all over us next year.
We'll say how lovely it is to see such a strong Liverpool side in England and why they'll inspire us to greater heights while crying about Jose and Darmian

Means nothing win or lose. Rather just see some positive football than scrape by with a 1nil.

The overreaction will be on both sides regardless of what result comes out of it

We win with our ressies and we will be overly upbeat about our players and scousers will be flipping

They win and it will be on, Klopp is a genius José is a clown yadda yadda

More game time and better opposition today so another chance for some of fringe players to step up and give a good account of themselves

Nah its Alisson, Lovren, Arnold, the Captain, Chamberlain, Keita and Firmino all out so basically the whole spine of the team missing (no.2 goalie, Clyne and possibly Wijnaldum out as well).

The difference is that Klopp has over time integrated subs/fringe players (rotated the most in PL last year) so they are familiar with the style and system of play. While Mourinho´s squad without key starters looks a mess as he pointed out himself.

Hopefully no injuries to any team (probably that was a "Ramos" message from Klopp fearing Jose might go too hard into this friendly) and some good interplay to watch from both sides.

Since Madrid is in the States anyway, can we borrow Ramos for this game? Just for the giggle.

This is probably going to be painful without the likes of Pogba and Lukaku. But still having my hopes up for a decent performance.

Quite the opposite. Very charming town but full of far-left lunatics.
