You don’t hold on to manager just because you aren’t sure who might be available. Football isn’t a sphere where there are only two good managers.Nobody I’d be entirely confident in, which is the main reason Jose retains any kind of support from myself. We need to stick with him, see how it goes and try to refrain from slagging him off and creating a toxic atmosphere in here and around the club at large. The caf is depressing at the moment. We need a muppety saga with a happy ending to lift the mood.
When Chelsea sacked Mourinho both times they didn’t worry about who was available, nor did Madrid when they sacked Mourinho or Ancelloti, same with Barcelona and their regular sackings of managers. Bayern got rid of Ancelloti who’s “won it all” and instead went the route of hiring a relatively unproven manager.
If it’s not working it’s not working. This boils down to people wanting a manager who’s “won it all” as the only person managing the club, which if you apply that criteria right now you end up with José, Pep, Ancelloti and Enrique.
History of trophies won can’t be all that you look at. How much you’re actually able to get out of your existing players(which for example is one of the first things Sarri talked about af Chelsea), style of play etc are just as significant to take into account.
