Cole & Sheringham didn't get on. [edit: just realised they're in the linked article. )Did Cantona get on with Cole? Van Nistelrooy wasn't a fan of Young Stepover Ronaldo?
If true, Nani fully redeemed himself with that assist vs CityNot sure Rooney hated Nani? Sure he got frustrated at him for his poor deliveries and bad decision making but so did everyone else in the stadium.
You're not wrong. Hated each other. It came to blows on a pre season tour.Keane and Schmeichel? Could be wrong, but I seem to recall a few anecdotes from years gone by implying that they're not fond of one another.
Remember that game well. The Villa-players were so shocked that they didn't bother going in attack for the rest of the game, I think they were 3-1 up before the incident happened.Surprised no one has mentioned this:
Yes, very probable there was more to it decades ago that has healed since.I think they've made up recently? And I doubt that there was hatred — just a long alienation due to their mother/Bobby's wife conflict
A deflected cross you mean?If true, Nani fully redeemed himself with that assist vs City
I'm pretty sure Keane called him a big poser or similar in one of his books, but then it's probably easier to count the amount of team-mates Keane did get on with than the other way around. You're not wrong. Hated each other. It came to blows on a pre season tour.

Pretty much. He said he was excited and nervous about making his debut(it means everything to him blah blah blah) and then when he didnt get the handshake or words of encouragement he wanted his feelings were hurt. He actually said hed rather go for drink with razor ruddock than teddy he hates him that much. And the funny thing is, if you look close enough it looks like he did get a handshake. Well not a handshake, more like a hand tag. I might be wrong and its just the swing of his arm, but it looks like he got a tag. To me anyway, kinda hard to tell.Never seen that. I don't get it. Cole wasn't happy because Teddy wasn't happy to being replaced by Cole? The crowd seemed pretty happy.
EDIT: And the lack of handshake?
I didnt know he had said that. That would be enough to make it a hate thing, thats for sure.Ruud telling Ronaldo to go cry to his father (Queiroz) just a few weeks after Cristiano's real dad had died didn't help.
Cantona had no issue with Cole that was paper bollocks. Cole and Sheringham on the other hand.Did Cantona get on with Cole? Van Nistelrooy wasn't a fan of Young Stepover Ronaldo?
If it was overblown, its because he over blew it:Cole has said in interviews thing that the whole thing is way overblown and the got along just fine. He was annoyed for a bit and that was it.
"When we got back to Manchester the manager pulled the usual, you’re a disgrace to the club blah blah blah. I’ve heard that a few times, I was like what about Denis he was late for the bus."You're not wrong. Hated each other. It came to blows on a pre season tour.

Supposedly Sheringham used to give Cole advice whilst playing. . . . which Cole did not like at all.Didnt know that about Cole and Sheringham on England duty. I always thought the story was that Sheringham blamed him for a goal we conceded, and told him so in the centre corcle when they went to kick off again and it then went from there.

Apparently they used to share beef curtains. Really close mates. I read it in the Sunday Sport.Yorke & Cole apparently had beef.
Or Bellamy, though he pretty much pissed off the entirety of the Newcastle squad including Bobby.Shearer and Keith Gillespie didn't get on, don't think he got on too well with Lauren Robert either
Gillespie probably owed them money.Shearer and Keith Gillespie didn't get on, don't think he got on too well with Lauren Robert either
Andy Cole himself wrote this in 2010:Cole has said in interviews thing that the whole thing is way overblown and the got along just fine. He was annoyed for a bit and that was it.
never seen that article before, cheers I enjoyed itAndy Cole himself wrote this in 2010:

Doesn't sound like they got on at all and at the time of writing he still detested him.

Obviously nobody knows but Keane and Big Pete but I have my doubts the latter started on him for no reason, knowing what a gobby shite Keane is.You're not wrong. Hated each other. It came to blows on a pre season tour.

i think "1 player vs. whole team" is a different situation, no? Plenty of examples for that. At Bayern, we had Andi Herzog, or Jupp Kapellmann who were mobbed by the gang.Ribéry & co vs Gourcuff. Ruined a whole world cup for France.
“The next morning we slept it out, I was rooming with Denis Irwin and we were late and Denis was going mad. You think he’d been caught in bed with someone. When we got back to Manchester the manager pulled the usual, you’re a disgrace to the club blah blah blah. I’ve heard that a few times, I was like what about Denis he was late for the bus.”
It's not a whole team in this case, more like 6 or 7 harassers on one side and a few to defend the guy on the other.i think "1 player vs. whole team" is a different situation, no? Plenty of examples for that. At Bayern, we had Andi Herzog, or Jupp Kapellmann who were mobbed by the gang.
Surely the player coming on should also be able to realize that it's not necessarily anything personal, just a playing being frustrated to come off? If that's really the whole story of why he hated (hates?) him that much, that says more about Cole than about Sheringham.I can understand Cole being peeved. It's just standard protocol when your substituted to high five your replacement. It's not his fault you are being substituted.
