You're wrong, you're being naive and a panicking polly. He's far too valuable off and on the field for us to sell, and Barca simply can't afford him either.

Like Ronaldo? Our best player in the last, what 40 years? And we sold him, he was also our most marketable player since Beckham.

Why ? As he wanted go. It's that simple.

"Goal understands that a compromise was finally reached between Spurs and United last week, on the condition that Spurs can cover for the loss of the defender."

You're bringing up an example from nearly 10 years ago when not only our club was very different, football was very different too. You're just in the wrong, it's very simple. Calm down.

See Ronaldo example.

And that's when we were good with the best manager in the world.
Completely different scenario. It was inevitable Ronaldo was going to Madrid and Sir Alex even asked him to wait and give his utmost while he was here. We then sold him for a huge fee with plenty of time left in the window. Mourinho has already been moaning about the state of our squad, why are we entertaining the thought that the club would sell its prized asset without time to replace him? Ludicrous.

Remember when PSG bought Neymar of them to punish them over sniffing over Veratti.
Ideally we should go get Dembele or Messi... it's £300M or £600M but it would be funny to see Barcelona wonder what's going on.

Maybe we can entice Spurs with our fine selection of defenders if they want one before selling Toby. Perhaps they would like a Rojo?

Why not make a fun of that and offer Rojo, Darmian, Jones and Shaw for Messi.

Yeah we used to be good. Stable. Best manager etc.

We are shit. Unstable. Manager who wants out.

Very different.

What's really different is that now, no player is available easily at a cheap price, so it's nonsense to sell right now. That's it. All the deals that will occur from now on have been going on since a couple of weeks and are just finalizing. Nobody is going to trigger a whole new deal cycle just like that. So yes, the market is different.

In a way, it's great the transfer window is that short. It cuts the crap.

I don't particularly rate Mata at the moment but he's the only current option we have at right wing, be a bit daft to sell him wouldn't it?

Swap Mata with Perisic.

What a pathetic, downright insulting offer, tell them where they can stick it and refuse to do any further business with them.

"Goal understands that a compromise was finally reached between Spurs and United last week, on the condition that Spurs can cover for the loss of the defender."

"And it is believed that this was the news executive vice-chair Ed Woodward was delivering to manager Jose Mourinho when the pair were seen in brief conversation in Miami after the 2-1 International Champions Cup win over Real Madrid."

Does Ed have to track Mourinho down at matches to talk about transfers?

Lingard would be the other option. If we're playing 433 it's most likely that he'll drop in there instead of the midfield where we've got numbers.

Chelsea have the money ready and they want Oblak. Atlético will try to convince him

Yep, neither of them own a phone.

I would be fine with Mata leaving, but he probably is very well-liked at the club, so maybe it would have a negative effect.
