The Premier League IS BACK.

With games like this, that’s not really a good thing.
Am I the only one enjoying an evenly contested game? Sure it’s nog quality all over the pitch but are moments of it (mainly from Murphy, Shelvey & Perez)

I’d much rather watch an evenly contested 0-0 like this with total commitment than City demolishing Huddersfield 5-0 with Huddersfield sitting back all game.

More goals doesn’t mean more excitement for me

Am I missing something? Shelvey has played one good pass the entire half and otherwise been quiet. Arter has had a much better game in central midfield so far.

I've been quite impressed with Cardiff here. Except for Hoillett - he's been shite.

Hard to believe I'm watching a competitive match, it's like a training game.

Shocked at the number of empty seats for Cardiffs first home match back in the top flight!

Highlight of this game so far has been the home fans who are there, chanting "You're just a shit Josh Murphy" at his identical twin brother playing for the other side!

soft red. Hayden should have pulled through, take him out completely and get a deserved red.

Sent off wrong Newcastle man

First half one was way worse, this was at least an attempt to tackle lol

Cardiff should complain, as they should have been playing vs 10 men for longer

That was nowhere near aggressive enough for a red. Looked like minimal contact to me.

To be fair to the ref, he came through the back of him, off his feet and caught him on the calf with his studs. It wasn't overly aggressive but it was a textbook red card.

I hope Kenedy gets a retrospective ban for that.

Going in from behind, with studs showing, ok to give red, in my opinion.

Wonder what the odds are on a Kane goal. He never scores in August but seems like an obvious choice for first goal scorer.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Agree.

Rules were brought in to prevent dangerous tackles from behind and just because this one wasn't "aggressive" isn't refs issue.

If he yellows him and he injuries guys calf (out a month or two), ref would get critised?

Don't tackle from behind, simple? (Not saying that I fully agree with the rule but can't believe players keep doing it).

Threw some money on this game to be nil all the second Hayden got sent off, no idea why I didn't do it before the game.

It’s still crazy to me that Fulham managed to get Seri after he was rumored to pretty much every top club in Europe. You would think he might have fallen to a smaller Europa League team, but not Fulham. Crazy how the smaller teams in PL have been able to buy quality players.

Surprised at Everton not playing their new signings. Only Zouma on the bench of those bought too.
