Maguire and Toby would look clueless in this team under this management.
We got Pogba & Sanchez who look awful playing for us what makes you think those guys would look any better. Open your eyes

Abject really. We'll probably improve over the course of season but if our goal is to be the number one team in the league, then we are desperately off course.

That was just diabolical. Bailly was an absolute nightmare out there; Lindelof at fault for the first goal but otherwise I thought was ok. Our midfield was just awful - Fred was all over the place, Pereira anonymous and Pogba having one of his ridiculous, nonchalant games. As for the attackers, Mata is doing that ridiculous deferential passing act, Lukaka was ok, and Martial...well let's just say he's not really going Jose much to think about once Alexis returns.

Smalling is a must for away matches to bottom teams . He is perfect for these games since he doesn't need to pass or create . He just needs to defends headers and be physical .

About our team this game . It's been abysmal performance . Fred is totally shocking as he has been caught time to time in midfield . Every team is going to target our right side whole season . Shaw and Martial have been crying for service all game on the left without any success . I hope we substitute Fred, Mata and Bailly .

This comes down to how much the Man Utd players disrespect BHA by taking it easy and lacking intensity and focus.

Has Mourinho lost the team? Save for a few exceptions, they’re just running around pointlessly.
Nope. This also happened several times last season. Mourinho has to be blamed but not for dressing room nonsense. It's for failing to preparing the team over and over and over again for these kind of matches. Brighton are simply up to it. Any small time playing on their pitch in front of their crowd will be up to it. We just turn out in these games completely arrogant and thinking that the goal is coming anyway like an Old Trafford, then we're shocked and it's game over.

Mourinho seems to fail to get the players to change this crap arrogant attitude which is worrying.

Look at the state of our defence today. And Jose has signed half of them.

More importantly, a midfield with Fred and Pogba can't control the midfield against friggin Brighton? Mourinho's last few years really give the impression that he is past his best. This doesn't look a team that has been coached by one of the world's top managers for two years
fully agree with you. its tragic

Just a reminder - Lindelof and Bailly are the 2 CBs that were signed for significant money at the time that Jose okay'd. I don't know if he picked them or if he just identified the types of CB he wanted, was given these names and said okay. But either way he's a very whingy and complainy manager and we didn't hear him whinging or complaining when we signed them.

He's gone with those 2 at the back for the start of the season and we've conceeded 4 goals in 1.5 matches. And we've conceded multiple goals in open play, whereas last season we hardly conceded from open play and instead were weak defending set pieces.

Eric Bailly was responsible for 2 goals.

The first one where he ran off to cut the cross for no bloody reason as Fred was tracking him, leaving Lindelof off kilter.

The penalty because he panicked. An experienced defender next to bailly wouldn’t have made him panic. There is no trust between Bailly and Lindelof.

I don’t even understand what to do to fix this situation. Defensive phases are one thing but I just don’t see what needs to happen for us to score.

He picks the team, the buck stops with him !
When it's the players that are lacking then no it doesn't.
How can Jose influence players to not make mind numbing decisions?? Please tell me how...

Yep. The system is very poor. Technique almost across the board is at an all time low too.
The odd thing is that individually the technique isn't actually bad. But collectively were lesser than the sum of our parts.

I'm tired of Mourinho to be honest. I don't think we're destined for big trophies under him.

Championship teams doing us in. Nothing to see here...
One of our biggest issues last season were the very bottom sides (especially the promoted sides) getting results against us. No fecking way a title contender can risk losing any points in these games.

We seem to completely fall apart when a group of players who aren't really that good really band together and get in our faces. And we just let them. So pathetic.

3 of the back 4 have been truly abysmal. We won't turn this round and I'm not confident we won't concede again.

Need to write Lindeloff off as a transfer mistake

Well City scored 6 today so there's no reason we shouldn't be able to do that against fecking Brighton right?

I'm not saying the CBs have been great but everything Brighton has done has come from their left/our right. I know Darmian is pretty much loathed by most fans but he knows how to defend. Not sure why he's been replaced by Young who doesn't. He's become passable at LB but at RB his positioning is terrible, it's caused Bailly to have to come wide and create a big gap between him and Lindelof. Honestly I'll probably be ripped apart for saying this but if Darmian had kept his place I don't think any of this would have happened.

Our classic away game against bottom side clubs. Every fecking year the same. How? How we keep losing these games year after year. Brighton, huddersfield, wba, stoke...

Seriously is he on the bench for Mata???

    Then Mourinho has to go
I love mata but oh my god he is a waste of space on the right sometimes. It’s like an automatic 2 v 1. What’s making it worse is that Young is obviously flat.

We need smalling. Feck playing from the back, at least we will be defensively better.

Honestly, I'm not sure a different set of CB's would have made any difference. For me the problem is in the central midfield area, Periera and Fred and sitting far too deep (they might as well be central defenders) which is inviting pressure from Brighton. I'm not sure if they have been told to drop this deep or they are doing so of their own volition, but one war or another they have to push up.

    This is genuinely worrying.

Brighton will ship 4 next week at Anfield. They are pretty shit but they just love playing us, we are also pretty shit to be fair.
They lost last week. They are
Poor we know that but for us to
Play like that is on Mourinho

That's what I'm wondering? Strange performance even by our poor standards.

Bailly is having a shocking game,
He doesn't look interested, but most of the team are playing in a half-assed way today, that's actually being kind. Beyond pathetic performance, words fail me, United look nothing even remotely resembling a team.
Brighton had no shots on target at Watford last week, they score 3 in 45 minutes today.

This Brighton team will be in and around the relegation mix come May and yet they are making us look like fecking relegation fodder. It’s scary to think what City and Liverpool will do to these.. and yes I mention them because they are the teams we have to beat this win.

Seriously, is anyone fecking surprised? What the feck did you expect? Weve been trash for ages. Shit performance after shit performance. When the manager can't get the team to outplay Leicester at Old Trafford or Brighton away, you cant put the blame on one or two players. Its a full systematic issue. Happens every single game. We haven't put in a convincing performance in ages, let alone any convincing run of form.

Just get rid of Mourinho already and get someone who can actually get us performing as a team without needing to spend 300m every window.
Yeah. The team is just disjointed and relies on individual bursts of talented displays.

Not sure why everyone is blaming Bailly. The penalty was a poor challenge but it was a result of Lindelof's man just getting a free run straight into the box. Where the feck was Victor?!
