Brighton 1:0 Man Utd - Murray (25')

Brighton 2:0 Man Utd - Duffy (27')

Brighton 2:1 Man Utd - Lukaku (34')

Brighton 3:1 Man Utd - Groß (44' pen)

Brighton 3:2 Man Utd - Pogba (90' + 4 pen)

-------------

Pogba post match interview:
"I'm disappointed, with my performance and the team performance. We didn’t deserve to win.

"I will always try. I know I lost a lot of balls which shouldn’t happen. I tried, I kept pushing, that’s my personality. I tried to help the team as much as possible. It didn’t happen today.

"Brighton prepared the game very well. Maybe we didn’t have the attitude to break them, to kill them when we had to kill them and to go through the lines. That’s a lesson we have to keep in mind.

"If we deserve to win I will say that but today the truth is we didn’t play well enough. They had more hunger than us and the result is the right one for them."

I think the post-Ferguson nadir was under LVG vs Bournemouth away when all the kids were near enough thrown under the bus. That was the match that led me to join the forum. This was pretty close.

Horrible performance. Jose needs to get things in order this week or else we may go the way of his final Chelsea year.

I can't wait for this week's edition of how Mourinho will find a way to blame everyone but himself. Always makes for a riveting read.

As bad as it gets. I think we need to get rid of Jose earlier than Chelsea did in 15/16. It’s only the second game and the season can still be saved. At the moment Jose is having a complete nightmare. That was not even LVG bad it was Moyes bad.

I think I've just inched into the 'maybe Jose isn't for us' camp - I utterly love him, but the facts are undeniable :(

Our team is tragic and watching us hoof the ball is a miserable experience.

Fred looks like another expensive dud. The sooner Jose is sacked the better.

Somebody take some responsibility. Anybody.

Mourinho will take all the flak, the players will hide.

We got lucky against Leicester. They were the better team but we got by.

We were outplayed again today and deservedly lost this time.

José's football is just rubbish.

We need to realise that this isn't the guy to take us forward and cut our losses. Unfortunately, it will cost too much to sack him now so we'll let the rot set in. Things are going to get much worse and publicly.

we're a mess.

all the headlines will be about United and Jose but Hughton is a fantastic manager and deserves a lot of credit for the job he's doing.

Shocking and disgusting.

The second half is a point of shame on Mourinho and his players. Everyone should be fined for this shite show.

Gone down without even trying. Not a single try of attack the second half. Played like we're winning not losing.

Disgusting and ashamed of this shite. Feck off.

Brighton, beating us at a canter.

Can't wait to hear how it's everyone else's fault but Mourinho's.

I've seen some diabolical performances from United since Fergie retired, but that was on another level of bad. This wasn't just a poor performance from a side capable of much better, it looked like the players didn't have a clue what they were doing.

It looks to me like Jose can't get them to perform. Perhaps he really does need to go.

Horrible all around. Shaw's the only player who was somewhat decent. The defensive errors were individual mistakes, but our usual cluelessness in attack is on Jose.

Couldn't even bring myself to watch the last 10 minutes. There's a void where a club used to be.

Nothing changed, we struggle against small teams who give their everything, but we do well against big teams so I expect us to win next week.

Players need to do more and we really should stick with 3 at the back because our defense with Young in it is just horrendous.

Facing a 6th year of dross. 6 years of shite football. 6 years since it was enjoyable watching our club.

I don't just understand. Just can't. New season. You are going to bottom club. And you play like shit. Then in second half you are losing and you don't create any pressure, any chance... awful. I don't know who to blame for this debacle.
But i know one thing. We needed proper defender. With this defence 4th place is the best what we can do this year.

I would say it's a shock result but does it actually surprise you?

Simply not good enough. Woeful defending, awful passing. There’s a good argument for Fellaini being our best player today. A 4/10 performance that embarrassed the name of United. Not a single player looked decent today.

This bunch should hang there heads in shame, along with the manager. Feck off, the lot of them.
