The worst stat is being outrun by 10k. That's unacceptable at any level. It doesn't take innate talent to put in some effort.

I don't think it was that bad.

We just need to play with a much increased intensity from the start and cut out those individual mistakes.
Yep, it's a shame we've been saying this every week for the past 5 years and still no one at the club seems to realise it's what we need to work on.

Well that was embarrassing, to a man they were all shit. The look on Woodward’s face at the end, not sure if that was because he thought he’d dropped a bollock or whether he thought he was right.

If Jose doesn't get sacked after this then the club is in a bigger mess than we are led to believe.

Woodward also needs to be given his P45.

Jose Moyesinho.

He was a great manager and I wanted him here but it’s time to admit it’s not working. The defence is crap, the midfield is not functioning and, in attack, before that soft pen we managed one shot on target (from Pogba) in our second half “comeback”. And this was against a team happy to finish 17th.

I’ve supported this great club for over 30 years, During a period of unprecedented success, so I can take a good few years of no championship wins etc.

What I can’t or won’t take is the absolute shit that Mourinho has been serving up for so long now.

We are an absolute shambles. There is no excuse for the performances that we have seen under Mourinho.

This is just as bad as anything I saw under LVG-a statement I never thought I’d hear myself saying!

The negative, god awful football is on Mourinho. I can’t see how things are going to improve.

What a depressing start to the season :(

I fear I'll break something or get some health issues if I watch another of these games. If this is the standard for this season we won't get past the group in CL and we'll be fighting with Everton for a place in the EL.

Just sat here all match stone faced watching that disgrace of a performance and result.
Way too much to criticise individually but basically we are complete tosh.
Bollocks, I'm going to...Pogba again an utter disgrace, prancing around the field, losing control, stupid passes, staring at the ref and throwing his hands up in the air, nothing changed here from the previous two seasons.
The notion that we are top of the table candidates is completely laughable. Wait a week to get served up this shit??

We don't know how to integrate our fullbacks into attacking positions. Mou will be criticised, and rightfully so, but a lot of that was down to the players making stupid decision after stupid decision consistently throughout the game. Mata, Martial, Fred and Bailly were especially poor. How fecking disappointing.

The only way I can explain this is: a very bad day at the office. Shit happens. The players and Jose are not this horrible on a normal day.
I was so pumped up coming into this game. Jose's coments were spot on, according to him, they prepared hard for the game, the rested players were back, the midfield looked promising last week, the line up looked good today, I could go on and on. The play was just too shocking. It has to come down to a very bad day at the office.

I can't wait to see Mourinho's post-game presser. Very curious to hear what he has to say.

Unbelievable performence! One for the history books seen from a negative stand point. I simply can not understand how such a group of talented players can be so incredible unstable in its performances.
In addition, I’m starting to wonder if United would be better off with an other person in charge, this evenings approach is horrible

It's getting harder and harder to support José, today was abysmal and to be honest I'm running out of excuses for the team and the manager. If we're sitting outside the top 4 by October and things aren't looking positive then I'm afraid José has to go and I'm saying this as someone who think he's a top manager. If we're not even defensively good, what are we?
That's the thing, the tactics are supposed to help make the defense more solid at the expense of attack and control... this side tried to play like Liverpool or City, it would get torn apart.

Will support my club even if we're relegated. However, it's painful to watch us like this. it's not like we can't do anything to correct it even. We've been playing a variation of this version of football from last season, why has the manager not seen that this is not sustainable and that we need an urgent change in direction?

Also, Mourinho must surely have lost most of the dressing room? I know we're usually tumescent, but that performance had nothing in it. It's like the players had given up already. How is this possible?

Anyway, the danger was always that if you've lost faith in the manager, then you must sack him, otherwise it's risky to just carry on like this.

I dunno what to expect from us the rest of the season. Just hoping we hit 40 points and are safe because things can unravel rather quickly.

We should take the risk with Zidane now for the remaining season. It can't get any worse. At least Zidane play attacking football.

Somebody take some responsibility. Anybody.

Mourinho will take all the flak, the players will hide.

He's more likely to throw his nan under the bus than take the flak protecting the players.

If you believe football to be a manager-led collective effort, a system where everyone is part of a whole unit, directed from the top, then you have to agree United are being failed managerial at the moment. Small, average teams routinely function as a better unit than we do. Yes we may beat them in a game cos we have better individuals but they look more cohesive units. United are playing like a bang average team. We. Are. Not. The search for a manager that can return us to playing good football should start now. Jose hasn't worked out. Not even as a short term fix. We can't accent this new version of mediocrity that's been passed off as normal. We're the biggest club in the world. Time to perform like it...

It was shit, but it’s ridiculous to be hooking up the Jose out bandwagon at this stage. Some perspective lads.
give us that perspective then...I mean it’s not like the manager has spent a fortune and it’s his 3rd year and the team still lacks basic competence

Worst since moyes. Outran by 10k. Beaten to everything. Looked like cowards and had ansolutely no clue how to try score in 2nd half. Could have played for weeks apart from penalties

The caf loved the starting line up too and whenever that happens we do shit. Caf hates the starting line up and we usually win.

We had 45 minutes to score a few goals and we produce that.
Under fergie it would of been wave upon wave of attack right to the very end.

I’m bored of watching us play. It just frustrates me and puts me in a bad mood. I don’t even care about trophies at this point. I just want us to play some decent football.

I fear even if we get rid of Mourinho nothing will change. It’s three successive managers in a row now playing appalling football. There’s something seriously wrong.

We need to realise that this isn't the guy to take us forward and cut our losses. Unfortunately, it will cost too much to sack him now so we'll let the rot set in. Things are going to get much worse and publicly.
Who do we get in though? If the manager was sacked tomorrow who could we realistically replace him with?

We can all name managers we'd want, but which of them is actually available?

Need to get a DoF sorted first to stop this constant spinning and circles and conveyor belt of players.

Regardless of results the football under Jose will never change!

Completely disagree, it is the time for ''Jose out". He doesn't fit our club will not be successful here, do it soon of in 5 years but this is what we will be until he leaves.

We need to play to a consistent philosophy, one which fits the club and it's history. If it takes 10 years not not being elite the be it but currently this isn't Manchester United.

A class CB and RW are a must. I won't slate any of our players, but some are simply not good enough (anymore).

First points dropped, hope we manage to win vs Spurs.

Jose's days are numbered.

Don't we have a few too many of these bad day at the office moments?

Ok, some perspective... It's his third season and we're still a shambolic mess of a team. Jose out.
2nd game. If we were 5th at Christmas and this had just happened fair enough I’d be up front and centre with my torch and pitchfork.

Utter bollocks. If anyone comes on here and defends the likes of young you can feck off. There is no way him, Valencia ,Fellani should be at this club. I struggle to believe Jose has turned into a bad manager overnight but am struggling to think otherwise. What the feck is going on. It costs me approx £200 a time to go to old Trafford. Only an idiot would continue to spend that cash when being served up with this rubbish. Absolutely disgusting.

There's blame to be spread all around. It's just hard to keep watching when the team doesn't look up for the fight. You see the heart in these supposed lesser squads. We don't even have half that.

I’d like you to imagine that for years you said Mourinho wasn’t suited for this club.

And you’re called a WUM.

I’d like you to imagine that you say he plays negative football and is boring

And you’re called a WUM.

I’d like you to imagine you constantly mention Mourinho’s third year meltdown.

And you’re called a WUM.

I’d like you to imagine you knew this would happen. You were certain of it and you saw your club making a huge mistake and the heartbreak it would inevitably cause.

And you’re called a WUM and given a “hilarious” nickname. “The special One”

Some of you asked for this. I have no sympathy for you. Some of us fought heart and soul for the club, they feel ten times worse.
Yes but it was idiotic saying it as early as you did. He improved the squad and won some trophies.

The only worse thing when making a poor decision is then allowing the decision to persist without doing anything to correct it.

Those calling for Jose sacking...Utd board have shown time and again they don’t have the courage to make strong decisions, so I dont expect anything to happen even if Utd keep putting tragic performances like today for the next 6 months. Our destiny was sealed once the club became a ‘brand’ and the Glazers only concern is perpetuating the business model that has increased the clubs value to what it is. Football on the pitch is just incidental.

Season is shaping up roughly as expected. Leicester could have punished us, but kindly refrained. Brighton far less polite. Our squad is a mess and so is our football. Baffling how board and managers have let the club turn into this.

First goal, Bailly has a brain fart and tries to intercept someone on the left flank already being closed by Fred, leaving Lindelöf alone. 1-0.
Second goal, Bailly and Lindelöf lost without idea what to do. 2-0
3rd goal, Bailly... no comments.

But you know what? Sack Mourinho and replace him with fecking Ed Woodward, the guy clearly knows that Alderweireld is not better than our 5 CB.
