That's a decent shout, but I think Henry is out for a managerial position now.
Probably true, although he may like to grease his managerial skids at a big club alongside an already successful manager and with players like Lukaku, Pogba, Martial et al. Would be a great fit imo.

Chris Sutton is ripping into us on the beeb. Calling us shambolic, saying we've regressed, we're imploding.

I agree 100% with him. I have no idea where we go from here. Feeling very sombre about the state of Manchester United football club.

Whatever we do, I hope board is proactive for once, top four is looking unlikely on current form.

Problems run far deeper than him, people are kidding themselves if they think a new manager can magically turn around our fortunes.

Also, no way we are sacking him 3 games into the season. It would be ridiculous, this place has wanted his head for a while but now have to wait for a while.

Spineless players and board, Jose needs to leave but our issues run deep. Say this will run to its not mathematically not possible to get top 4. Need to salvage something with a change now, sure Ed won't do anything till its too late.

He’s done.

He’s lost the players. If he goes now or in May that’s yet to be seen but he’s finished here.

For the record, I’m totally against sacking Jose and will only ever blame the board for the situation we find ourselves in.
Their mismanagement of the post-Fergie era is nothing short of laughable.

Today was not on the managers but the players who can't finish to save their lives. No manager in the world could do if our players decided not to finish off easy chances.

He wont get sacked now, not before December anyway. I would say he will get sacked once top 4 isnt possible anymore, but if he goes into complete meltdown, who knows.
We are currently 13th. We are just edging towards the relegation zone. If we feck up our next match I really can't see how he can continue. No way we can carry on like this until Christmas.

It’s inevitable this will be his last season but I would be shocked if he is gone before end of this year.

He needs to go because simply the players aren't responding to him anymore. They aren't helping him in anyway and you can't sack the players, it's too late now.

I've had enough, 3 freaking years and he still doesn't know his formation or first 11. pathetic
I'm convinced he is trying to get fired. No way he can't tell who's worth starting and who isn't at this point.

Living in temporary accommodation, because he has always seen it as a temporary job. Got the new contract, just waiting for the pay-off.

Only worry is who we can get in to stop the rot.

How?

He needs to go as our season still can be saved at this stage.
To be fair the thread title is a bit embarrassing.

Jose didn't get backed in the transfer market but he didn't do himself any favours either. The signed two CB's who are arguably no better than what we have. Still, if you're not going to back your manager then it's the end of the road especially with Mourinho.

Just want it to all be over now.

What was that? I missed it.
After consoling Shaw he head over to the stretford end, picked up a United scarf and applauded the fans while nodding for a whole minute that felt like an hour. Very defiant and almost tearing look in his eyes. It’s his farewell

Knee jerk thread and sentiment.

Sack Jose because of losing to Spurs in the third round? Why not give him more time? We played better than in our last two games. Who would you have replace him? Questions need to be asked of Woodward. What did he expect would happen, with us not signing anyone? Especially after finishing much behind City last season. 19 points is a lot. Did he honestly expect us to compete for the Prem without giving Jose the players that he thought the squad needed?

You can't have a coach like Jose in charge of a squad such as ours and then not allow him to get the players he needs.
Oh come on. Remind me, how many players have Spurs signed in the summer?

Or there is Liverpool. Klopp spent almost exactly the same amount of money as Mourinho. Except Klopp started off with a worse squad and was forced to sell his best player. Somehow they don't seem to be in a crisis because the manager was allowed to spend "only" 430m during his tenure.

The LVG out thread came after months of garbage. People just wanted to race each other into starting this thread, hence why you couldn't even wait until the game ended.
It has been months of garbage. Over 18 months.

Once Mourinho loses it, you get shot of him. It will only get worse, and there’s absolutely no chance he’s turning this around.

How long do you leave it? Until the season is done?

Exactly the same happened with Van Gaal and Moyes and it’s a massive waste of time.

He's done for me - position is untenable.

Caretaker for Sunday, get the new man in for after the break.

embarrassing to see our fans applauding after that. i hope none of these people have the gall to ever include us in elite clubs/teams conversations. anywhere else and that man would have needed a police escort to get out of the premises, but at United we are seemingly more concerned with optics and dumb romanticism

Fergie's Backyard.
It's clear Mourinho doesn't have the backing of the board. He hasn't been given the money to build his own team and the result is clear. Our defence needed improving and Woodward and Glazers said no. This is what happens. Riots, protests to come. Called it at the end of the window.
He had the backing and has completely messed it up. Build his own team? He's signed everything but a LB and a keeper!!! If the defence needed improving it's on Jose. He signed Dalot, Bailly and Lindelof that's 3\4 of a defence. I can understand Woodward refusing when he asks for another centre back and he's already signed 2 and we still have Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Lindelof and Bailly in the squad. Jose has not looked up to this from day 1.

What does backing have to do here? Can't you take the time to assess before you type? Pochettino signed nobody yet proceeded to smack us. It's not about the money but about managerial skills. Whether Jose was given what he needed this summer we would still be a disgrace of a team. GET RID!

Shocking result tonight, can’t fault the players for a lack of effort. Pogba was terrible throughout the game and provided nothing going forward. Jones was left wanting at the back for the goals. I don’t think Mourinho can recover from this now but they won’t sack him yet, we have the next game against Burnley away and if it’s another poor result then it will give the club the international break to get it sorted.

Why knee jerk?

We lost to a very good Tottenham side, they played very well. I expect shit threads like this after results like Brighton, but come on, we played well - unlucky not to be ahead in the first half.
Are you fecking joking right now? We lost 0-3 at home against Spurs and you're busy harping that nonsense.

What is wrong with some you? Not only was the result annoying enough, we have to come and read nonsense like what you posted to just add onto the irritation.

Woodward should know that every game makes a difference. Leaving this situation until there is no coming back is stupid (getting into top 4).

Because of losing to Spurs today? Did you miss that we finished 6th in the first season? Did you miss our horrendous playing style last season and finishing without a trophy, and getting embarrassed to Sevilla at home in what was a sackable offense in itself? Almost the entirety of 2018? We've been fecking woeful for ages, his sacking is long overdue by now and it's a matter of when, not if. Sadly this when will probably happen at the end of the season, but I really hope it happens soon.

 Would Madrid/Barca/Bayern etc, just stick with a man who’s lost it?

Bayern were quick enough to get rid of Ancelotti last season.

Nope. Still trust him.

It wont make any difference until Ed goes, hes the bigger problem, these other muppets cant see that because of their hate for Jose.

We sack Jose and in a year time we're still shite with Ed at the helm. Sacking him would be the easiest path I agree. And then all would be surprised he wasn't the biggest problem.

Yup, see above.
