Who's going to be available later on in the season? I mean it will be too late to recover anything valuable from the season anyways with the way we do things, but if it really gets desperate (see Chelsea 15/16) who can do a solid job?

Hiddink to clear up another Mourinho mess? Big Sam (if we're in a relegation fight?) Giggsy till the end of the season?

Relegation fight? Seriously?

We would go for Zidane anyway.

With Poch out of reach, surely Zidane has to be strongly considered for the position. I see no point in hiring an interim manager when we have a proven CL winning manager waiting for the opportunity.

Slim pickings. Give it to Scholesy. He'd bench Poggers and remind him who replaced him when he wasn't up to the task...

Exactly.

Why do we need caretaker?

Zidane and Conte are available. Liverpool brought Klopp in October. It took Pep a year. Give either of those two the season to judge the squad and ship out the trash. Rather than come next season they assessing the squad and pattern emerges again with Jones and Smalling surviving.

This. It felt like his team tonight anyway. Very different set up that had Carricks fingerprints all over it.
Don't stretch it.

He's the only option available. He should take it till we hire a DOF and see the next managerial appointment. We aren't finishing top 4 anyway, gonnal be City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs so don't care anymore.

Paul Chuckle. He would go well with Ed.
They could pass the blame to each other until the end of the season.
‘To me, to you, to me, to you...’ etc.

The players are still playing for the manager, what would be the point? The problem is that we don't have enough quality in key areas, how is sacking Jose and appointing someone else going to change that this side of the window?

No possibility of caretaker. Tomorrow we will get news of the board still backing Jose. The board will not sack Jose, unless he gets us out of Top 4, just like with the previous managers.

Then at the end of the season, when we have scrapped, fifth or sixth, We will appoint a new manager. and in the summer, he will need to have a look into the players and see who he can keep. Rinse and Repeat.

Cause he's shit at his job, so a competent individual will do a better one.

Give it to Keane. Think he’d sort a few feckers out and bring some much needed passion.

Playing for the manager. Yet we have no plan on how to defend or attack. That’s down to the manager. Any long ball or set piece we struggle to defend despite having biggest team in the league.

What is the plan going forward?

Chelsea have sacked manager Jose Mourinho seven months after he led them to the Premier League title.

The 52-year-old Portuguese had been in his second spell at the club, taking charge in June 2013.

Chelsea finished eight points clear last season and won the League Cup, but have lost nine of their 16 league games so far and are 16th in the table, one point above the relegation places.

Mourinho's final match was Monday's 2-1 defeat at leaders Leicester City.

Disagree. I don't think there's anyone available out there now who would do a better job. When you've got Lukaku missing open goals, and Phil Jones facing the wrong way when marking Harry Kane on a corner, you're going to lose the big games that are decided on these margins. The team played well tonight for the most part, and the players are still clearly playing for him. They just aren't good enough.

Give it to McKenna, he is a very good coach, also as an added bonus will work well with the younger players in the squad.

I'm not denying it's a shambles at the minute. It's frustrating, I just don't see how sacking him is suddenly going to turn Lindelof and Jones into players who aren't basically useless.

Why is Poch out of reach? Not sure why everyone associated to Spurs are so hard to get.
