True. I fear this will backfire massively though. Pogba knows he's an awesome player and will be snatched up by the likes of Barca etc. He could choose to just refuse to react to this, continue the anti-mourinho rhetoric and get transferred at the end of the season.

Then we're left Pogba-less, and, if the season so far is anything to go by, likely Mourinho-less. A true state of limbo.
I actually wouldn’t mind that as an end result. Pogba seems to be our plan moving forwards but he’s more than a bit of a bellend. I wouldn’t mind trying to find a different player to build a team around.

Fred miss passes alot and loses the ball too much for a midfielder and Dalot never made a right cross for 180 mins now! Do we always have to wait 1 2 3 years for a player to develop? Can't we just get the right ones for once ffs.

This is Dalots home debut, what sort of fecking idiot decides he is shit after his home debut? I despise posters like you. Do one.

This is just ridiculous now. Our team is looking like a bad joke and I just don't see how anything is going to change. Classic third season breakdown? (I know it's a myth :P)

We have found our level: knocked out of the league cup at home by Derby.

What separates the top teams from the lesser sides is they have players that can do what others can’t. That piece of magic out of nothing, that composed finish when the pressure is on.

The best teams have guys who can deliver when desperately needed. Think of Chicharito scoring after 36 seconds against Chelsea when he knew the title was on the line. Or Van Persie scoring a last minute free kick at Wastelands.

By that bar we aren’t an elite team. We don’t have players who need one chance to decide a game. We have players who need 4 or 5 chances before making an impact.

This is our level. Van Gaal was right many of us are living in the past expecting more. Support the team but don’t expect success to come of it. You’re just setting yourself up for disappointment.

When Jose goes don’t expect the next bloke to come in and make us magically better than City. That’s years off. Years...
That's fecking hurt. 6 years now. Really don't know what we need?

No beef, but he removed him for no good reason after he played well in the last two games. Makes sense.

He is prickly on every subject. Thinks him and his methods are beyond questioning.
He didn't drop him from the team or send him to reserves

He doesnt know his arse from a hole in the ground.
Seems that way. Probably didn't watch the game and is jumping on the hate bandwagon. Why he's singled out a 19yr old full-back in his 2nd game for united and home debut just compounds the bellend whiff I get from this poster.

Sitting front the t.v holding the mobile at the 95th mins saw Fellaini scores. Hadn't notice it was from Dalot really. Apologies. But still not that convinced of him. Opinion.

It was always gonna be tough game, Derby know how to proper pass it about and that. Only thing Jose done wrong was not starting Fellaini in the first place.

Who cares about this cup anyways, on to the next.
FFS listen to yourself. We were at home to a championship side and were outplayed. Fellaini on from the start wouldnt have made that much difference. You only dont care about the cup cos we were knocked out. Most fans would like us to win everything

Watched the fecking game didnt pay attention to the cross. Thats all. I never miss a game even when we are such a rubbish. Still not convinced though. Why bringing so young lad and wait for him to progress 1 or 2 years that is my fecking point.

I must admit I'm coming round to the idea of not building a team around anyone. Doing so just cements the fact we have 1 important player, why not a whole team of them? City's team are built around who?...I can't think of anyone that stands out, they're all very good and play good football as a team.

By the looks of it, if we've 'built' anything, we've laid some bricks, put some shit mortar in between them and covered it up with tarpaulin pinned down with a trowel with the plan on 'finishing it later', then going out to the pub.

Still not convinced? The guy's played 180 minutes for christ sake.

Also, it's the Carabao cup, a well known platform for the bigger teams to put out less experienced player to get that bit of game time and help them develop.

Jesus, if you were the manager, you'd have bought Dalot, loaned him out to Scunthorpe for a couple of years then wonder why he plays like shit when you put him out for his United debut away from home against City in a league decider.

The lineup looks "attack, attack, attack". In the 1st half, Martial was going great, posters said. I walked away.... why didn't this attacking plan succeed?

Sorry I probably should have left white text, but I'm actually fuming and am being sarcastic with regards to another shit performance.

We were taken to school by a championship side managed by someone with 5 minutes experience.
At home.
When we put out a theoretically strong team.
What else can possibly be said, that was a complete and utter unmitigated embarrassment.

Not buying him at first place. Buy someone ready to take that line from an old Valencia. Dalot needs time but we just do not have it. We wait for Rashford for Dalot for Lingard for Martial for Lindelof and ....

Looks like there is a devide in the camp and every one is not on Jose side !

Unfortunately in modern era, player power is too much and I see this would end in only one way.

I feel sorry for Jose ! He is like a king in his last days who is already aware of his fate I think

Our luck wasn't with us tonight. Let's face it, we rely on luck a lot these days. It's terrible performance after terrible performance. I'm sick of watching it. Mourinho is a shit house and there's nothing to like about most of our team. We're a shit covered sponge cake. Bland and disgusting.

What happens when we play Chelsea? City? Liverpool? Juve???

I'm bricking myself at the thought of Valencia to be honest, and we are only an Arnautovic brace away at the weekend from an absolute catastrophe...
City, Liverpool, Spurs and Juve will most likely do the double over us. Unsure about Chelsea.

Oh ok then, we'll buy a whole team of galactico's for £1.5bn. That'll sort it out. I'm pretty sure we don't have a cheat code for unlimited money. Anyway 2 of the people you list there are hugely out of form.

Rashford - good player, not getting enough game time but has been in poor form recently
Lingard - also in poor form, was very good last season scoring some important goals
Dalot - 19yr old, played 2 games...
Lindelof - Can't single him out for every defensive mistake, has been overall fine, few little moments, but he's our first choice centre back along with smalling.

We’ve been here before (and recently). Despite this being our one realistic chance of a trophy this season, this is not as bad as many would make out. Time to dust ourselves off, roll up our sleeves and get on with trying to win the next game - which we are very capable of doing.

Haven't said buy a whole new team but buy wisely. Lingard and Rashford for me not good enough for Manchester United. Lindelof has a real huge mistakes in him almost every game and too slow for the build up from the back IMO.

The thought of facing those teams in our current form is frightening.

Can't just be that positive now. Hoped Jose said those few words you said but instead he talked about how he made Pogba not the vice captain. Feck this.

For the first time in possibly 40 odd years i forgot/didn't realise we were playing tonight and missed the game. As a former season-ticket holder, I am having a serious crisis here.

Am just getting old?
Is the football that bad?
Do I really not care anymore?!

Never nice to lose, but I can't really get worked up over losing a League Cup game. It ranks 4th on our list of priorities with regards to silverware. To the actual club it's probably 5th or 6th behind top 4 and getting out of the Champions League group.

The worst thing about losing today is that it could limit the number of times we see certain players, like Dalot as a good run in the cup would have given him plenty of game time. It's exactly what the competition is for in my view.

Dropping points in the league is something we cannot afford to do many more times, so I will save my frustration for those occasions.
